Come enjoy a peaceful and private getaway located in the back hills of Richford, NY - 30 minutes from downtown Ithaca and 40 from Binghamton. This quaint 2 story, 2 bed, 1 bath home is on 10 acres of it's own woods and trails and also overlooks 1180 acres of state forest. A short driveway inclines slightly to a level parking area. The cozy and relaxing front porch is stunning. However, please note the steep bank off the porch, making this cottage unsuitable for young children.

The owner was great. Place was very clean and well stocked. The stairs are a bit hard to go up and down, not goid for seniors.

Everything about this house was amazing, felt right at home here. Fully stocked kitchen, plenty of blankets and beds were very comfortable. Loved the mini garden and the wrap around porch, sat out there every night. Communication with Sue was great. Would definitely stay there again.

What a magical place. Country home backed up to a hill of grass with a special sitting area at the top. Very quiet at night and early am. Lovely gardens and landscaping. Beds and kitchen are very good. Great parks with swimming 20 min away.ithica is 30 min for shopping and the wine trail starts in ithica so close to alot. Highly recommend

Wonderful relaxing stay. This old refurbished home has wonderful antiques, charm and every amenity you could want. Very comfortable stay and met our needs perfectly while visiting the Ithaca, Corning Binghamton areas. The host takes great thought and care in maintaining this property.

The perfect getaway

This cabin was comfortable and super hospitable. Set in a quiet little place, surrounded by flowers with a pond to view off the front porch, this getaway was perfect for our family to relax and enjoy a much needed break. It is obvious the owner has taken pride and care to decorate and maintain this little gem of a house. Just beautiful!

Beautiful Cottage

Upon arrival I noticed the front porch with the vines. Beautiful I thought! The weather wasn’t that great. But walking into the cottage made it all seem better. Cozy Cabin Weekend

We spent the weekend celebrating Valentine's in this snowy cabin getaway. It is even more comfy and cozy than the pictures make it look. The cabin was absolutely stocked with everything we could ever need with very clear instructions left by Sue. We will definitely be revisiting.

Great place for a retreat from your busy life

This is a great little place, on quiet country road. It was clean with lots of amenities and comfortable beds and pillows - we felt right at home. It a short distance from Ithaca for day trip or to grab some dinner out. Sue was responsive to requests and made check-in and check-out very easy. I would definitely book again.

Stunning location and accommodations

Wonderful views and some hiking trails right behind the house. Close to state parks. Charming farm cottage well equipped kitchen so no need to leave for meals.

Ideal secluded cottage near Ithaca

The cottage was perfect for our trip and stay. Exactly as described. Clean, rustic and a bit eclectic in style. Very comfortable and had everything we needed. 30 minute drive to all the sites in Ithaca. We’ll probably be back.

Cute & cozy cottage!

We enjoyed five days at this cute and cozy cottage. Sue, the host, was very nice to work with and thought of everything a guest might need. The cottage was clean and decorated so cute. The peaceful porch was the perfect place to relax!
