We had a great time here. Tucked back in the woods, so nice and quiet! The house had all the amenities you would need. Property is just as described. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay at Bluebird Hill Cabin. We’ve experienced fall and winter at this cabin and have loved both experiences. Ann and Gail are incredibly responsive and offer up good suggestions for the area. The cabin is a true 5 star stay and is in a beautiful peaceful location. The kitchen had everything we needed and is stocked with many flavors of coffee and tea. We enjoyed being so close to Skyline drive and our dogs had a blast just running on the property itself. Hope to be back sooner rather than later.

Bluebird Cabin was a peaceful oasis exactly like it was listed. It was clean and everything was there for your needs. From the expansive drawer of spices to the coffee bar to the beautiful view off the deck. It was a perfect place to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. We had air hockey tournaments in the basement. We did hiking and tubing during the day. We came back to the cabin which was so peaceful and quiet. We would definitely come back here again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us! this is a perfect getaway..we were three couples and each had our own master .. this house has everything you could want for a perfect peaceful vacation.. comfy beds and a fully stocked kitchen and the view , and the birds songs and watching the squirrels.. we are so spoiled now . no other house I rent will match up to this one, on bluebird hill.

Ann & Gail have obviously put a lot of thought and energy into how to keep a vacation cabin comfortable and homey. Bluebird Hill Cabin was very clean, and spacious and included everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would not have been able to stay there had they not allowed us to bring our dogs ! That is a feature which is difficult to find these days … very much appreciated ! The cabin is situated in some beautiful mountainous country in Virginia. The views each morning were spectacular. They also promote feeding the wild birds from their deck which was very enjoyable to watch. The downstairs guest quarters / game room / bar were well appointed with games to play, etc.. Our stay was specifically a “working” vacation, so we were not able to adventure and site see as we would have liked to have done. Therefore, it is likely we will be returning in the not too distant future.

This was our second time staying here - and it was just as amazing this trip as it was last time! There were even a few upgrades since our last stay. The new rocking chairs and coffee bar were such a nice addition! We have already talked about another trip!

This is the fourth year my group has stayed at this house and Ann and Gail are fantastic hosts! They are communicative and stay in touch throughout to make sure our stay was amazing! The house is beautiful and comfortable and well suited for a relaxing vacation in nature!

This is our third year stay at the cabin and it was even better than the last. The attention to detail and amenities are superb. We’ve booked next year already and can’t wait to go back. I’ve stayed in many homes and this is the best by far. Comfort of home away from home.

This place was extremely cozy, comfy, and peaceful! Well appointed with games and things to do indoors and out! Beds and TVs were great for individual or family movie time! Game room was a hit. The views were amazing! Very well thought out and lovely! Would absolutely recommend and come back to stay again and again!

Great Stay

We loved our stay. We had 4 adults and 2 pups and plenty of space, indoors and out. It was an incredibly easy stay with all necessities in the house. Its a quick drive to the national park or the historic downtown. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway

Beautiful house, nicely furnished with pretty much everything you could need - incredible views of the hills and river - super responsive owners - great hikes nearby - just a perfect getaway spot!
