Cute, comfortable and relaxing. The surrounding neighborhood was quiet and a good location to access sites on the coast.

The location is perfect, with a lot of space. My only critique is that you could sometimes hear guests in the other unit and it sometimes sounded as if they were in our unit. Other than that we loved it.

I loved the property so many opportunities for enjoyment, the fire pit and hot tub. I heard the estuary was nearby and wished for some binoculars to enjoy the view. The porch is a well seated area with a grill to boot. I loved the wildlife nearby and would have loved the ability to learn more about the area.

Fun time away!

My daughter and I came to Seaside for a girls get away, and we were not disappointed! The little house was perfect for the two of us and is in a great location. Even though it rained while we were there, we were able to cozy up, play games, and watch some tv when it was too wet to go outside! Highly recommend for a girls get away!

Nice Stay

We had a nice stay here! The hot tub though was highly chlorinated which made it difficult to enjoy more than the 1 time we tried it. Overall, it was a fun spot and the tvs were easy to navigate.

Quiet neighborhood a few blocks from the beach

The deck was pleasant to enjoy the fresh air. Appreciated that kitchen had various supplies, spices etc. Quiet neighborhood was nice. There is a downstairs unit so the yard, hot tub etc are shared. Short walk to the beach was nice.

Our stay was great. Hosts are very organized and we had zero issues with our stay. Convenient location near town and the beach.

Good with some non-disclosed quirks

The location is great, entrance directions and other directions super clear and helpful. The bathroom wreaked of mildew, the shower curtain liner could stand to be bleached as you can see the pink mildew growing on it. The “plush” towels were like sandpaper and thin. The hot tub is SHARED with whomever is renting the downstairs unit which isnt disclosed in description. Joan does give the opportunity to reserve it in 1 hour time frames but I didn’t want to map out my day to that extreme. This leaves me with the “cleanup list” I always get a 5 star review. I am good about cleaning up after myself and not leaving messes behind. Having said all that I have never experienced a host leaving a list of all the things they expect their guests to do and threaten a 3 star rating if not completed (wash all dishes, scrub down countertops, start the towels and sheets in the washing machine, sweep the floors, just to name a few). There is also a list of the things that their “cleaners” are supposed to do and while the property appeared clean there were definitely things on the cleaner list that weren’t completed.. One of the bikes was not well maintained and full of rust (pedals, chain, etc) that we didn’t want to take the risk of it breaking and being stranded or having to pay for it. All in all we had a lovely vacation and stay here, just wish some of the above had been disclosed prior to renting, it felt a little bait and switchy. Joan was super nice and communicative to any questions

Great property

Property was accurately listed. Was clean and cozy. Host was very nice. We tried to get the property a second night and although it didn't work out due to scheduled maintenence, Joan got back to us quickly and was happy to try to accommodate us. Much appreciated.

Our favorite place for to go and relax is Seaside. We bought and furnished Chateau for our own use. Realizing we aren't able to get away very often, we decided to allow guests to stay there and enjoy our relaxing home. We both taught and are semi-retired with 3 grown sons, 2 wonderful daughter-in laws, and 4 adorable grand kids.

Seaside is so much fun for every age with so much to do. We love to bike and it is the perfect place for biking with few hills and wide streets. We also love the beautiful view from Chateau and enjoy sitting on the deck in all kinds of weather looking at the river and the mountains.

Walking to everything and parking the car! Walking along the prom always refreshes us and going out to dinner in the evening without getting in the car is an added bonus. The view of the ocean is lovely, with no sand in our shoes! The hot tub and fire pit are a nice amenity to use in the evening after sight seeing.
