We had a wonderful weekend stay at this cottage. The cottage was very clean, very quiet in the beautiful nature setting. The hosts were very responsive and sweet. Although you are on the same property as the owners you truly do not even notice. Very close and convenient to hiking trails and brewery and wineries.

Fantastic Getaway

Absolutely one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The hosts were incredible and very welcoming. Would definitely recommend this place for peace and serenity.

Great little place in the woods!

My husband and I came to VA for a friend’s wedding and stayed here. It was awesome and the property owners were very helpful and responsive! We would stay here again!

An Excellent Weekend Getaway

The property was extremely clean and our hosts were very welcoming!!! The location was perfect tour all of the breweries and wineries in the the area. We will definitely return

Great getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful little Cottage. The trails were nice to walk around and the location was just far enough removed to feel like an escape but close enough to many great attractions. Very clean and comfortable with attentive hosts!

Perfect getaway

Cleanest property I have ever stayed in! Location is excellent for hiking and wineries. Beautiful trials on property. The perfect place for a getaway!

Great hiking

We chose this property so we could wintergreen resort and the local breweries, but the best part was the beautiful hiking trails behind the property. One of the best hikes I’ve ever been on.

Perfect Cottage Perfect Location

Cottage was exactly as described. Very clean. The grounds gave a great opportunity to hike in the morning and relax in the evening. Right in the middle of many great wineries and breweries. We will definitely be back.

This was an amazing place to stay

My daughter and I spent a weekend here and went skiing at Wintergreen. The hosts are amazing and the cottage it self, lovely. New, comfortable and beautiful. A quick 20 minute drive to Wintergreen. Can't say enough about the stay, it was just great.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We had a wonderful experience during our stay. The hosts were very welcoming. The cottage was spacious, clean and comfortable. It is very close to several breweries, wineries and other attractions. We are looking forward to making a return trip in the future.

Wonderful, Peaceful Weekend Retreat

This is a gorgeous, well maintained property that I could retire on! The trails are just beautiful and the house is as clean as could be. We will definitely be returning. The fresh mountain air was just what we needed!

We often don't see guests, but at their request we spent a lovely hour with Rodney and Cindy. They said they truly enjoyed their stay here. Just to be clear, I owned a mattress manufacturing company, and I know that the mattress in the cottage is firm. That's because sometimes heavy folks stay there, and soft mattresses take body impressions and are uncomfortable for everyone. The mattress may have been uncomfortable for Rodney and Cindy, but they are the first guests to mention it. Indeed it is comfortable for most people. There are no body impressions; it's not sagging. It's actually fairly new. The fact is that it's a high quality, firm mattress in excellent condition.

cottage in the woods

We had a great time at the cottage. It is located conveniently to Skyline Drive. We were able to pick some chestnuts at a Virginia Chestnut farm. Paulie's Pig Out just down the road had tasty BBQ.

Beautiful Home

The cottage was beautiful inside and out! They have done a spectacular job landscaping and developing walking trails. Wish we could have stayed longer. Kind, peaceful energy.

Fantastic Getaway

Michael and Heather are some of the best hosts we’ve encountered. They were kind, responsive and knocked hospitality out of the park. The unit was clean and comfortable. There were thoughtful details throughout in an incredibly peaceful place. If you are looking for a true getaway with incredible hosts, I could not recommend this more.

Quiet get- away

We had a good stay here.Very clean and all the amenities were supplied. Wasn't aware the property owners lived next door. That wasn't a problem for us but didn't catch that when booking. May want to know that if you're looking for total seclusion.

Quiet, updated and clean

2 adults in the area for 4 night hiking and mountain biking adventures. Perfectly comfortable, clean and quiet. Owners super kind and helpful but not at all intrusive. Beautiful property conveniently located near the BRP and SNP and city conveniences but tucked away in a private mountain setting. Thanks so much for sharing your home.

The property was set away from the rest of the world. It was beautifully serene with hiking trails and a wonderful stream. I thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and having the quiet downtime. It was what I needed!!! The host were wonderful and left me to my own time, but were very helpful when needed.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

We were so pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Super clean and close to so many cool things to do. Our original plan was to spend our days at Shenandoah but with so many cool things nearby, we had the chance to explore. The trails on the property are wonderful. We were able to recharge and restore. Thank you so much for sharing your space. Hope to return when the leaves are changing.
