The perfect place to stage a tour of local wineries and dining in Staunton. The apartment itself is beautiful with fantastic touches like a huge shower, room controlled temperatures and modern flooring and appliances. Highly recommend a stay here. We’ll be back!

Girls' getaway

It was a wonderful place to stay and enjoy the wineries & breweries. So convenient and Murphy's Place was the perfect place to come back to in the evenings.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We chose Murphy’s Place for a girls’ getaway. It is adorable, well appointed, and conveniently situated for access to Wintergreen, breweries and wineries. La was a welcoming host. The views are spectacular. We will be back!

Great place

We stayed here to go skiing in Wintergreen. The property was perfect for what we needed. Everything is updated and very clean. It is an easy 30 min drive to get to the resort if you are going skiing. There are plenty of places to eat/drink in the area. If we do another weekend trip, I will be booking this again.

weekend getaway

We chose this place because of the location but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and newness when we arrived. It is centrally located to lots of breweries and vineyards and hiking trails. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay

Really enjoyed our time here! Close to Wintergreen Resort and numerous natural experiences in the valleys! Definitely a place we will try and come back to!

Cute & Cozy

We loved our experience at Murphy's Place! We came up here for a Birthday/Valentine's Day weekend vacation, and we stayed busy the whole time! There is so much to do around the VRBO. Lots of wineries, breweries, shopping, and more!!! Charlottesville is a quick 20 mins away or so and Wintergreen Resort is about the same, but the opposite direction. We cannot wait to stay here again in the near future!! Big thanks to the hosts for making us feel comfortable and at home!

Stopover on way to smith mountain lake.

Great place and wonderful amenities. Kids loved the pool and goats and are already looking forward to next year.

Comfortable apartment

This was a very comfortable apartment to stay for a wedding weekend! Close to Waynesboro and Crozet. Nice little kitchen, bathrooms and comfortable beds. Host La was very nice and helped us get into the apartment when we checked in late.

Afton Mountain Gem

My wife and I stayed here overnight following a New Years Eve gathering at Veritas Winery. With only a 6-minute drive and minimal traffic, it was very easy navigating to and from the winery for our event. The unit was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable, and the host was thoughtful and kind. We have discovered a lovely gem in the Virginia wine country, and we look very forward to our next stay here!

Perfect spot & great host

We were in town for a family wedding, and this was the perfect home base. It’s a comfortable spot with everything you’d need for a long weekend. La was great, and we’d def come back here.

Best Hosts Ever

Murphys Place has everything you need for your stay plus a nice outdoor pool area! The hosts are on site and the friendliest people we have ever encountered using VRBO! La gave us recommendations for things to see in the area that we would not have found ourselves. We have stayed here twice and both times were great!

Cozy and super cute!!

The place was perfect: cute, comfortable, clean, and cozy. The perfect little rental if your aim is to explore the local wineries and breweries, which are literally just a few minutes away.
