LOCATION, LOCATION & VIEWS. Located in Carolina Beach this newly renovated, spotless, Winds V1 condo is located on Carolina Beach Ave N, JUST A FEW BLOCKS FROM THE BOARDWALK, RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING. The living room and deck offer expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean. The master bedroom patio offers beautiful sunset views over the canal. The property offers a COMMUNITY POOL, BEACH ACCESS and COVERED PARKING (2 car limit). Cable TV and WI-FI internet access are included. The master bedroom offers a king sized bed, TV and adjoining bath. The second bedroom offers 2 full sized beds and TV. The living room offers a full sized sleeper sofa. Leave the dirty laundry to us. BED LINENS AND TOWELS/WASHCLOTHS ARE PROVIDED FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE. You will only need to bring beach towels. The kitchen is well appointed with all of the cooking items you will need. We also have a washer and dryer. This property is STRICTLY **NON-SMOKING indoors or out. ** We are implementing extra cleaning and disinfecting practices between stays. Great beachfront spot for our family.

We had an amazing few days here! The owners were great to work with, easy check in. The condo kitchen was well stocked and they even had beach toys we could use! We would definitely book this condo again. We loved being walking distance from the downtown boardwalk as well.

Sweet Getaway Suite

We had an absolute blast in the area! We were in town with 15 family members and this was the perfect retreat for us at the end of the night. The beach was so close and was amazing to listen to at night. The place was clean with just the right amenities. We will be back for sure! Cindy was also responsive with the few questions I had.

Relaxing

Very fun experience with the kids!! Beach stayed sunny and the night walks were absolutely exciting!! Boardwalk is only a few minutes of a walk away and the restaurant selection is great!! I love that there's an urgent care across the street from the Food Lion down the road. Definitely will be booking here again!!

Lovely Oasis Right on the Beach

This was a great property and fantastic location. We were literally one minute from the very nice beach (complete with lifeguards). The place was super clean and charming. Comfy beds, nice kitchen - everything we needed. Really liked the deck overlooking the ocean. The host was super responsive and could not have been more helpful. We could walk to the boardwalk and restaurants, etc. or take a very short drive to many more. Highly, highly recommended!

Relaxing weekend

My adult children and I had a wonderful stay at Salty Toons condo. There’s no better way to spend Mother’s Day weekend, in my opinion! The condo is perfectly decorated and appointed with everything you need. The ocean view is beautiful and relaxing! It’s a true Gem, you won’t be disappointed!

Great condo at the beach with a beautiful ocean view

We had a great time staying in the condo. The ocean view from the balcony is amazing. Very nice way to take your meals while enjoying the ocean. The condo is very well located with direct access to the beach and at walking distance of the boardwalk and the bars and restaurants. It is very functional and we had a lovely weekend. We look forward to an opportunity to come back longer.

The property was clean and contained everything you needed. I would have liked more than one bath towel for our 5 day stay. I liked that we only had a very short walk to the beach. The pool was clean. The parking garage was okay but the way out was very narrow and hard to manage.

Beautiful home in the heart of Carolina Beach!

We had a wonderful experience on Memorial Day weekend. Me and my wife (+3 kids under 10 years old) booked a semi-last minute trip and were fortunate enough to find this home on the front row just a few blocks away from all of the Carolina Beach action. Cindy was amazing at communicating and the home was clean, fresh and all updated - much different than other private rentals we've stayed in at the beach. The pool was warm already (huge bonus for the kids) and the access to the beach is perfect. We could leave towels at the beach and walk back in to get lunch. The best thing about it is probably the private balcony since it is the corner top unit. We loved eating out there and having a cup of coffee there in the morning. It was also great to be able to walk to restaurants, the arcade (new and very nice) and of course Britt's donuts. We accidentally left some items there and Cindy graciously offered to ship them to us. The home has two bedrooms but with 3 kids we had plenty of space. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a great getaway in CB. Thank you Cindy for the hospitality and service! We can't wait to come back! - Julius & Carey

Very disappointing

The property description says that it is "newly renovated" and "spotless." We found this to be inaccurate. The condo had been somewhat cleaned, but it was far from spotless, and I saw no evidence of "implementing extra cleaning and disinfecting practices between stays." When we first walked in, we noticed that the floors were quite gritty. I realize that this is a beach environment, but it didn't seem that the floors had been thoroughly vacuumed. The lounge chairs had not been moved when the floors were cleaned, so there was dust/dirt under them. We have a toddler: when I was checking under the couch for a missing toy, I noticed that the floor underneath had not been cleaned in a while. The same was true under the bed in the master bedroom. The surfaces, for example in the kitchen, had been wiped down, but not "cleaned." The surface under the microwave and under the Keurig machine were dirty. The cabinets had not been cleaned. The stove top had been wiped down but the drip pans were filthy, and under the drip pans looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. Even under the rings around the cooking elements had not been removed when cleaning the stove top. Most of the glassware was dirty. We found dirty dishes in the cabinets. I ended up washing everything before using it. The grate on the air intake for the HVAC was filthy, and the filter looked like it hadn't been changed in a long time. There was a considerable amount of dust/dirt on top of the dryer. There was very little in the way of supplies. There was one dish towel. One! And one roll of paper towels. One! There were two trash bags. Two! One in the trash can and one replacement. I can understand being skimpy about some things (e.g., no soap in the bathrooms, no laundry detergent), but I don't understand why the owners would be skimpy on supplies that help renters maintain the property and keep it clean. The closet in the first bedroom where the vacuum cleaner is kept was not clean. The coffee maker, which I found in that closet had not been cleaned. These are the main reasons for my low rating of this property. Below are two things to be aware of. 1) Cars are parked three deep. If/when you want to go out, you have to contact the people who are parked behind you to get out. If you are parked behind anyone, be aware that you have to be on call to move your car. 2) The TVs are not smart TVs, so you cannot use your streaming apps. The cable is the most basic package.

This condo is right on the beach and the balcony is wonderful. The kitchen is well-equipped. We were very comfortable. Robin was very responsive when we needed to contact him. We would love to stay here again!

The perfect place to stay in Carolina beach

Salty Toons is a great spot. You’re right in the beach. the property has a pool and you’re close to a lot of restaurants and the boardwalk with fun rides. Great for kids. Plenty to do. I enjoy having a kitchen, washer/dryer, private balcony overlooking the water. The downside…it’s a lot of stairs to get up there to the 3rd floor, so if you’re mobility is an issue, it’s a hike. Parking was tricky too you’ll need to be available if you block someone in as they’ll need to call you to move. I’d also suggest to the hosts they make a Tv channel guide, figuring out what was available was a pain. Maybe also add a few more bath towels and hand towels to the inventory. Other than that. Great place and I would bring the family to stay there again.

We looked at many different property options before deciding on this one.

The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the boardwalk, shops and dining. The views are second to none. Wake up each day to the sunrise over the ocean from the front balcony and watch the sunset in the evening from the back balcony. This unit has many recent updates compared to others in the area.
