4 Bedroom/2 Bath home on 5 acres with Private driveway access to Lake (3 minute walk or you can drive). Sleeps 8 comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen, linens provided. Washer/Dryer, BBQ, Fire pit, Cable TV, DVD, Wrap around porch and ceiling fans. Need more room? See the listing for the "Cottage" (#1365911) just across Pelcher Road that can serve as 2nd house for Family Reunions. Great location close to the lakes and Speculator. Suited our family and loved the nostalgia. Would agree with previous reviewer that mattresses really need an upgrade but otherwise a great stay!

The property and location are both beautiful. The house has a ton of character and is a bit older but still comfortable for our family. The old part does come with quirks such as the oven but the owners provided very good details for using it. The wireless Internet was a very welcome surprise and the Internet TV helped with our little one. For a last minute booking this listing helped us have an amazing week, we look forward to future trips staying here!

Beautiful home and property. Very spacious and comfortable for our family. We enjoyed relaxing and having meals on the front porch. Very close to town and lovely view of Lake Pleasant. Would love to stay again in the future!

Family Fun Stay

We enjoyed this family friendly space. There were enough rooms to have our own spaces and rooms enough to be together in. Games, TV, plenty of yard and the huge porch to play in. We will be back again!

4th year staying here, it's an annual tradition for our group of friends who can't get together most of the time. The perfect place to unwind, cook, and hang out. Always quiet and peaceful and perfectly situated.

Relaxing 😎

Very relaxing environment, full of nostalgic Adirondack decor; nothing fancy, which is perfect for our busy family and pup. Bring extra paper supplies with you, ie tp and paper towels. Perfect dining area for big dinners and game night . I love the open kitchen/ dining area so I can talk with the family while cooking. The mattresses could use an upgrade, as it was rough on hubby’s back. Otherwise, suits us nicely. Hopefully we will be able to stay again next year

Great location

The house is very nice with plenty of room for up to 8 people. Decor is very ADK, with tons of animals in every room. It rained one day and we counted 1047 animals total in all corners of the house. My only complaint is that we had no paper towels, no tissues, and only 2 half rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 4 days. Luckily there is a nice grocery store about 5 minutes away where we purchased these things. We had fun at the small beach and exploring the surrounding hiking trails. Owner should mention in the listing the nice Weber charcoal grill and small elevated fire pit. Getting into the lockbox to retrieve the keys was a bit tricky, but overall I would recommend this place for your Adirondack adventure.

Great set up for a group of singles and couples. Great host! Property as expected and equal to listing. We enjoyed the firepit, BBQ, and space. Improvements could be added to mattresses but for a few nights we found it acceptable. Great communication from the hosts. Clear check in and out instructions provided.

House is large, in good condition, well furnished and comfy. Plenty of towels, etc. Good location. May make this a yearly retreat!

Kitchy Adirondack

House was great. It was big had a great porch which made the house even bigger. There were woodland critters all over the house in every nook and cranny and stuffed animals that my grandchildren enjoyed. The house was well stocked and clean. The whole family enjoyed the house and our visit.

An Annual Tradition

This place has become an annual end-of-semester tradition with us! Very convenient location, quiet, perfect for a medium (6-8 person) group with lots of room to spread out. As usual, the porch was our favorite hangout spot.

Very relaxing weekend in a beautiful setting.

Thanks very much for your hostility. The home, beautiful Adirondack farmhouse with a Gambrel roof and enclosed porch on two sides. We spent a great deal of down time on the porch and out on the stunning 5 acres of open fields grasses and wildflowers. A very Adirondack home decor, maybe a little too much, but every piece reflects a treasured memory of the owners family and days gone by. Love piece was appreciated by us. The kitchen stove so “dang cool” extremely unique 1963 Frigidaire and very good working condition considering it’s age. I could go on and on, but let’s just say we score this stay and residence a 4.5!

The nice arrangement of roomy spaces allowed 3 generations of our family to enjoy a pleasant Christmas holiday in the winter wonderland of the Adirondacks.

Everything you need for a getaway.

A great stay! The home has everything you need in ample supply, which is not always the case with rentals. There's a local grocery store a quick 2 minute drive up the road, which was a nice surprise. Loved the visit and would definitely book again!

Great stay!

The home was very welcoming, we were comfortable from the start. The neighborhood was quite and the beach access was good. We would definitely come back when we have a larger gathering than just us two.

Absolutely amazing, charming and heartwarming! Great place to bring the family. Owner is wonderful!

We smiled ear to ear as soon as we walked in. It was fun showing our friends and family what we rented because they were very very impressed. I can’t wait to stay again and go many other times.

Mountain Lake Privacy with Convenience

Spacious, comfortable, well-appointed and well-provisioned house, with the luxury of a huge enclosed porch inside, surrounded by a lovely large yard outside with fire pit and BBQ, a short walk across the road to the private beach access to the lake, next to the marina. All this within a short drive to town for groceries, sports and gift shops, information center, and a variety of places for eating out. We enjoyed a very private location located near the conveniences of the town of Speculator.

Cozy stay in the mountains
