Coastal Cottage on the Guadalupe River!

Experience life on the Guadalupe River at Hale Ohana (Family Home in Hawaiian), our Hawaiian-style cottage that sits on almost one acre in a quiet, older neighborhood, just a short walk to Seguin's historic downtown, quaint shops, and dining. Spend your days exploring area wineries, fishing, paddleboarding, and kayaking with Guadalupe River access nearby and your evenings trying out local eateries and gazing at the stars with a glass of wine! Feel the stress melting away?

Hale Ohana is a fully-equipped studio cottage that can sleep four. The kitchenette has a toaster oven, hot plate, microwave oven, refrigerator, and gas grill. Dishes, linens, towels, washcloths and blow dryer are provided. Lovely dining area inside and sitting area outside. Bathroom has dual sink vanity, private toilet area, sumptuous clawfoot soaking tub and a huge walk-in shower with bench seat. Twin fold-away beds and king-size bed easily sleeps four people. There is a large yard for lawn games and exploring and water access on site for Kayaking, tubing, fishing or paddleboarding. Parking for one vehicle included.

Guests have access to washer/dryer in the main house if needed. Corn hole, basketball and frisbee available.

Owners live on the property and are available if needed. We strive to give our guests as much privacy as possible during their stay. However, we love to meet new people, so if you see us in passing and are feeling friendly stop and say hello!

Please note that we have many stairs up to the cottage with no elevator or ramps for wheelchair access. This home is in a quiet residential neighborhood. It is not suitable for loud or late night parties, and you are expected to respect the privacy and comfort of the neighbors at all times.

Quiet getaway

Took a few extra days to spend with the husband before going to a wedding in Galveston, it was a perfect spot to relax, quiet and peaceful, beautiful view of the river

The house is beautiful! Very calming, relaxing and peaceful. The view was a making too!

Very easy! The owners were very kind and their little dogs were cute. Definitely recommend if you're looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle.

Gorgeous Guest House

The guest house was very pretty and a nice place to stay for my boyfriend and I’s Anniversary. There are a few things I wish we knew ahead of time, ONE, the river access is shared with the neighbor and while we were there a bunch of college kids were staying at the house next door and were very inconsiderate to that fact that the steps were narrow and other people needed to use them too. TWO, the main house is RIGHT next to the windows of the guest house so you walk past their living room every time you go to the guest house. THREE, the guest house had a TON of windows which were covered with very thin curtains so you could see right outside and the sunlight lit up the whole room every morning which cause for a lack of sleeping in. The porch lights were also always on so falling a sleep was slightly difficult as well. The town is very nice but I noticed there wasn’t a ton of things to do unless you drove 30+ minuets to San Marcos or New Braunfels. The guest house was pretty clean and the bed was SUPER comfy. Once you get over the fact that the owners are right next door, it’s a nice place for a quick getaway.

Perfection on the Guadalupe - We Loved Our Stay

Vicki could give a hosting class to others in this industry on how to do it right -- the lovely decor throughout the property, & even though it is an open concept there are designated areas for working, relaxing, cooking/eating, sleeping, flowing together seamlessly. One issue we have had at other properties when traveling is the breakfast offered. Often, the breakfast offering is heavy on carbs: Bagels, muffins, etc. My husband is diabetic, so the well appointed kitchen of Coastal Cottage on the Guadalupe allowed us to prepare a better breakfast before heading out for the day. He cooked sausage & scrambled eggs in a skillet on the electric hot plate, & I stashed some yogurt & fresh fruit in the mini-fridge, along with our bottled sugar free green tea. The bathroom is luxurious, spa like, with plenty of towels, & I was delighted to see a drawer with thoughtful "emergency" supplies for guests that might forget their dental floss, feminine hygiene products, etc. A hair dryer, curling iron & curling wand are convenient for someone needing those items. I did not get to indulge in the gorgeous deep soaking tub this visit, but I fully intend to return & take advantage of the bath bombs in the glass canister on the bathroom counter & enjoy a good book. Shampoo, conditioner, & body wash dispensers are provided in the huge shower. The bed. So very comfortable! That alone is reason to return. Bedside lamps allow for a few minutes reading before slipping off to dreamland.

Perfect Get Away!

The property was so beautiful. The way everything was decorated was perfect!. Their dogs were adorable and hilarious! ♥️ We will be back everything was so nice! Right off the water, and there were turtles 🐢 at least 15 in the water. So Cute!!! Thank you so much for everything!!

Heaven on the River

We enjoyed every single thing about the cabin, she definitely goes above and beyond! From plenty of space and coffees and even women products and bath bombs! The place was very clean and open and the view was spectacular. I needed hairspray last minute for a wedding and she was so nice and let me borrow hers! We loved it and appreciate her hospitality.

Beautiful little spot on the river

My wife and I stayed for our anniversary and it was great! The little bungalow is right next door to the owners home, but we never felt we had a lack of privacy. When we did meet them they were lovely and had two cute little Yorkers. If you’re looking for a cozy and quiet getaway you can’t beat this for the price!!!

Beautiful place, lovely decor

This was a beautiful place to stay the views of the river were very nice and loved the décor.. Our 2 adult sons came with us last minute for the family reunion. The 2 pull outs worked well for them. The only reason i rated the description a 4 and it might have been my mistake was it said 1 bedroom which i thought would be a true bedroom but it was all an open space loft type. It worked out fine and would stay again if we made it back. Vicki was wonderful to work with and made everything very easy to navigate getting in.
