Sitting on the sound was awesome! Our week stay couldn't have been better, from the quietness to the beautiful sunrises, definitely a place to relax and soak it all in. Thanks to David and Caroline for their kindness. We will be back.

We enjoyed it. The view was ever changing from the chairs on the porch! It was close to stores and restaurants. Would rent again. Need tv in bedroom tho

We enjoyed our stay at Sitting on the Sound. From the spectacular views to the sweet home, we couldn't have found a better place to spend 5 nights. Having coffee on the deck with that view was a highlight. The size was perfect for a couple and small pooch. We also liked exploring the small town of Carrabelle, along with Eastpoint and Apalachicola.

We loved the property. Quiet. Great fishing area. Only negatives was the furniture seemed really old and uncomfortable. The bathroom wasn't really clean.

Absolutely beautiful! We will definitely be staying again. Right on the water and so peaceful. Everything was clean and worked well. Plenty of kitchen utensils and spices to cook with. Only about 30 minutes to St. George Island if you want to enjoy the gulf. But peaceful and quiet area but still close to plenty of stores.

Amazing place! Loved it!!! Cold A/C, clean, lots of space!!! Grilled oysters on the chargrill. Only pointer, extra blankets would be nice. Everything else great!

Pretty and comfortable. There isn't a dishwasher in the property, and you can't see the sunrise or sunset like some of the reviews say, but it's very quiet and we did see manatee and lots of fish and birds. It's a great place to relax and enjoy nature.

The house was clean and well stocked. The neighborhood was peaceful with very little traffic. The view from the deck is gorgeous. We enjoyed watching the birds and dolphins. This was a very relaxing stay. The host communicated great and is top notch.

Tho home was secluded and very peaceful. Get a kayak and explore the sound and then spend the evening watching the sunset from the balcony! Fantastic stay!

This is our third stay at Sitting on the Sound over the past four years. We love the quiet location right on the water. The owner put a dock with a picnic table on one of the connected properties just steps away from the house. Terrific addition. We've seen such wonderful wildlife from the back deck over the years. An Osprey bid is farewell overhead this morning, showing off a big catch in it's talons. Truly amazing. The house is always comfortable and clean. Regular drip coffee pot, washer and dryer.

Parking was easy and for multiple cars. The house is cute and has a great view of the water easy access for biking or walking to town. The back deck needs some painting and few boards replaced. My only other issues was few dirty dishes and the tolit sit way to close to the small shower. The water pressure and temperature was good in the shower. Loved the sitting area in the bedroom over looking the bay.

Weekend getaway

Came for the weekend to go to the blue crab festival and St. George island. And also eat some of the best oysters ever at the Station in Apalachicola
