Fisherman's access and relaxation in a 2BR 2BA on River with Dock, Pet friendly!

Welcome fisherman and families alike! Located directly on the Carrabelle River you have a fantastic deep pool fishing spot right on the dock, where you can tie up your boat. Dock is equipped with a cleaning station, electricity and water.

House is 2BR 2BA 1100 sqft modular home. Master bedroom has a queen bed with ensuite bath/shower combo. Second bedroom has a full-over-full bunk bed. Hallway bathroom has a walk-in shower. Kitchen is fully stocked including drip coffee maker, blender, crock pot, and toaster along with refrigerator with ice/water dispenser, electric stove, microwave, and dishwasher. The open concept dining/living area includes a reclining couch and rocking chair, and dining seating for 4. Overflow seating is on the porch with 4 high-top chairs and table. Large screen smart TV includes Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Peacock along with DVD player and extra HDMI hookup. A selection of movies and books are provided. High-speed wi-fi throughout the house.

Under the stilt house is a nice patio area with Weber grill, Blackstone griddle complete with utensils, ice machine, and bait freezer. It's the perfect place to cook your catch and enjoy the spectacular view! Fold up table and chairs provided along with beach chairs and an extra fishing pole. Pedal bikes are also provided. Screened in porch above overlooks the beautiful river where you can relax and enjoy morning coffee/tea and evening drinks!

White sand beach is just 2 miles away to the west. If you are bringing a boat there is a free boat launch at the end of Timber Island road that can accommodate any size boat. Boat ride to the mouth of the river from the house is about 15 minutes in no wake zone. Be sure to spend some time at Dog Island which is only accessible by boat. Often times it feels like you have the island to yourself!

Plenty of on-site parking under the house or in the driveway, and large/wide driveway to easily maneuver your rig!

There is a converted garage King bedroom/1BA apartment next door which is blocked when this property is rented. Not included in this rental, but if you have a larger group, contact me for availability of this extra space.

No swimming! The river tide can change by 3-4 feet at times, and the current can be very swift. Keep this in mind when tying boat up to the dock too.
Boating tip: River and low lying areas are full of oyster beds. Follow channel markers - red on right on return as you come back/up river.

Great place- absolutely perfect for our family of 4 with our boat. Had so much fun. Kitchen was just right. Close to everything we needed.

Home was exactly what I was looking for. Check in was made very simple. My boys and I had a great time fishing from the dock. Will definitely be booking this place again in the future.

We had a wonderful time! The property is perfect for a quiet getaway. We aren’t much into fishing, but I can see how this is the PERFECT spot if you are. Home has plenty of comfortable furnishings and a ton of natural light, making sunrise/sunsets fantastic. The host was super easy to deal with and instructions/directions are very clear for self checkin. Check out was a breeze.

Perfect setup for the fisherman

This property was absolutely perfect for us and our boat. The house had everything we needed and the boat dock was also very nice and updated with water, power, and fish cleaning table. The underside of the house was a great hang out area with two different types of grills and an ice machine! We will be staying here again.

Great location

Great location! Ice machine for the fisherman / boater was a hit when there was no ice in town due to the opening snapper season! We frequent carrabelle 2-3 times a month. I’ve always seen this little place riding down the river as my parents have a place a few miles up river. 15min boat ride to the bay!

Peace, tranquility and adventure!!

Amazing back porch open to the Carabelle River. Perfect location for exploring the river, Dog Island, and all of the beautiful natural spots in the area. Relaxed with family and friends and enjoyed the amenities of the home. Guest house was another great place to hang out in addition to the lower level’s grilling stations and ice machine. Highly recommended !

This property was great for our annual fishing vacation. We stayed with two small families and brought the boat. The use of the dock with the water and cleaning tables were very convenient. The house was cozy and clean. We will be booking again.

We found Carrabelle searching the FL coast on a satellite map. The area looked perfect for a vacation home, with the river front and barrier islands providing shelter from the ocean, yet still easy access to it. We booked a VRBO to visit, and we were instantly hooked! It was better than we could have hoped for. White soft sand beaches, deep river access, great fishing waters, small town charm. Yet for a small town, there are several restaurant options, cute shops, an art gallery, museums, and even great live bands every Th-Sat night!

The fishing here is fantastic. We've caught pompano, flounder, redfish, snapper, grouper, and even sharks! We've caught a lot of fish just off our dock. If you have a boat, you have fishing options off the beach of Dog Island (one of the barrier islands) or deep-sea fishing. Dog Island is only accessible by boat, but there is a ferry you can catch. It is an awesome place to explore, with tide pools full of marine life, and also those white sand beaches. There are houses on the island, but most times, you feel like you have the place to yourself!

The area has a rich history. As one of the only naturally occurring deep water ports, Carrabelle played a pivotal role in early trade between the US and Europe. A hurricane came through and sunk several merchant ships in the 1800's; some of ruins you can still see on Dog Island (more was exposed during the recent hurricane Michael, but it has since been covered more again). The island was used to train some of the troops that stormed Normandy Beach during WW2. There are 3 museums that cover this history and more, and while I'm not a big history buff, they are quite interesting.

We've tried to equip the place with everything you would ever want! Ice machine, bait freezer, gas grill, and gas griddle (complete with utensils) all under the shade of the house and overlooking the beautiful river. Boat dock with deep water access, fish cleaning table, water, electric, rod holders, and bumpers if you want to tie your boat to the dock. Other extras under the house include bikes, fishing rods, folding table and chairs, kid's lifejackets, water/hose, and a built-in "countertop" to stage your feast! There is also a fire pit out in the yard (please avoid use in the event of a local drought).

Upstairs, you have a screened in porch overlooking the river with cushy rocking chairs and a high-top table for 4. A lovely place to have morning coffee/tea and evening drinks!

Location couldn't be better. Only a couple miles from the mainland Carrabelle beach, with that soft white sand beach, and never very crowded. There is a primitive parking area closest to the house, and one with facilities just another half mile away. If you have a boat, it takes about 15 minutes to get to the mouth of the river and out in the ocean. There is a free launch just 2 miles from the house. And the grocery store and all the restaurants are only 2 miles away as well!
