An excellent mountain getaway at the headwaters of Koocanusa Lake just outside of Wardner BC, 35 minutes from Fernie Alpine Resort, 35 minutes from Kimberley Alpine Resort, 20 minutes from Morrissey Snowmobile area & 20 minutes from Cranbrook BC. Excellent outdoor activity area, hiking, quadding, boating w/lake activities, cliff diving/jumping, biking, skiing, golfing, relaxing in the private hot tub or by the indoor/outdoor fireplace.
This luxury cabin is a 3,800 sg ft 4 bedroom walkout with high end finishes throughout including sub zero fridge & professional Viking stove. Situated on a 1 acre lot with mountain & lake views, it is air conditioned, has a large deck spanning the width of the house, outdoor 6-7 person private hot tub, indoor & outdoor wood fireplaces & Weber BBQ. Private dock with protected moorage is included. Children & pets welcome (pets must be house trained).

Jim's place was luxurious and spotless. Everything was high end. The dock was great and there was ample parking.

40th birthday celebration

This property was absolutely beautiful. Jim and Donna were amazing hosts. Jim took us out on his boat for the day and it was the perfect addition to an amazing vacrion. The house is stocked with everything you would need. We would recommend this property to anyone.

Great place for a group

February Snowmobiling

Very spacious well appointed property in a very nice spot inside a gated community. Close to many things to do and worked out great for our snowmobiling spots on either side of Wardner.

Clean and spacious

High quality property, very clean, welcoming host. Plenty of space to cook, mingle and enjoy our family time. Loved the wood burning fireplace. Exceptional master suite.

Cozy cabin loaded with amenities

We stayed here for a weekend away and whitewater rafting. Jim met us at the property, showed us around, and even offered to bring us out in his boat if we had the time on very short notice for a great price. Unfortunately we couldn’t take him up on that, but we thoroughly enjoyed the kitchen and the outdoor amenities (bocce ball, badminton, hot tub, BBQ, patio, etc) and the basement was cool all day during 30+ degree temperatures. Beds were comfy. Checkout process was easy. We’ll definitely come back once we’re back in the area. A great place to stay for Fernie activities if you want a little more space and seclusion.

Very clean beautiful Mountain View home

My family and I spent a few days here and the house was really great. Very clean and well stocked. Jim asked us how things were going and made sure everything was top notch for us. It’s a short drive to some popular tourist sites so location was also great, as well as the quiet relaxing evenings with stunning views

Excellent!

We had a wonderful stay this past weekend with our group of friends. The photos are 100% accurate, and they have the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a vacation rental. I also appreciated the hassle-free checkout process (no starting the laundry or stripping the beds). The house is well maintained and well thought out. Everything you could possibly need is provided for you.

Best Place I've Ever Stayed!

I've been booking vacay rentals since 2012. Multiple stays in the Okanagan, Vancouver, the Island, Alberta etc. This is by far the best place I have ever been. Cleanliness - 10/10 No dust, mildew or anything left under the sofa cushions. Total pride of ownership. Ammenities - 10/10 cribbage, fire pit, fire place (excellently vented), ping pong, indoor basketball competition, bar with large fridge, towels. Kitchen - 10/10 Chefs dream! Totally stocked and not with junk! Views - 9/10 So much potential. Trees need to be cleared or topped, but what you do see through the trees is majestic. It's the Rockies! Loved the bbq view!!!! Hot tub view too.....just relaxing. As a mature group of professionals, we were on a stag party. Met the owners upon arrival and we were assured that if we needed anything we just needed to let them know. This place is run so well, you really don't have to bother the owners. Just ask how to fire up the hot tub when you meet them. There is really no reason to not like this place. Great bang for buck! It is truly a sanctuary and I want to return and do it all over again if my buddy gets divorced!

A Wonderful Mountain Getaway

Wonderful home

We spent Thanksgiving weekend in this house and it was perfect. House is remarkably well equipped and the neighbourhood felt secure (gated community with coded entry). Very clean, comfortable, and lots of space to relax. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings, views of the trees and lake, large kitchen, and the fire pit. Jim responded quickly to any questions and was very gracious when we had to reschedule earlier in the year. Would love to book again some time!

Perfect Getaway

Amazing place! Great experience from the booking process to checkout and follow up. Jim was very helpful with answering all of our questions and gave us great reccomedations for activities around the area. The property was perfect for our family of 8 and with 2 dogs. Highly recommend and will book again.

Phenomenal

I came with my spouse, our 11 year old daughter, her buddy, my Mom and Father in-law and our 2 dogs. First off Jim was a spectacular host and really went the extra mile to far exceed our expectations for any vacation rental! We will definitely rent this property again. The home itself is over the top beautiful with all the finishing touches and picturesque views off the balcony. It was packed full with every ammenitity you could imagine. Indoor and out there was fun and games for all ages. They have carnival style popcorn maker in the basement (popcorn provided) the kids enjoyed a theater style movie night after a long day😁. You could pack clothes and food and forget everything else because they forgot nothing.! The private dock is a short walk down the hill and when you spend the day on the beautiful warm lake koocanusa you can come back and unwind in the hot tub, hydro massage jetted tub and snore like a baby in the ultra plush beds🥰 Honestly best trip ever blew us out of the water!

Fantastic location

The location and atmosphere is tremendous; definitely feels like an escape to a peaceful location in the mountains away from people. Communication with Jim was great, very helpful! Would highly recommend and hope to stay again in the winter.
