Welcome to the Lazy Daze Chalet - a quaint all-season lake front cabin

Water front cottage on beautiful Lake Nottely! Three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Main level features a nice kitchen open to the living and dining areas. Beautiful stone fireplaces in both the main and ground level living rooms. Large screened in porch overlooking the lake right off the main living room, gas grill and patio furniture to enjoy your money coffee and ease into your day. Stone terrace and fire pit with big comfortable Adirondack chairs for your enjoyment after a day on the lake. Televisions with satelite and ChromeCast in both the main living area and terrace level. A full laundry room is located on the ground level. Rec room includes foosball, games and puzzles for your enjoyment. Two kayaks included for your use.

Please note, this is a sweet lake front cabin in a natural setting, perfect for a family get-away. It you prefer the luxury treatment of a Ritz Carlton resort, I kindly suggest this might not be for you.

This has been our 3 consecutive year staying at the Lazy Day Chalet. ALWAYS a great time and stay. Host is great and property is always superb!

The Lazy Daze is a great lake vacation spot. We enjoyed the dock with lounge chairs for visiting and swimming. The only draw back is the difficult steps to the dock and fire pit. My family helped me as I am a senior. The lake water is clean. We made smores with a fire in the fire pit. The screened in porch was great with lots of seating and the propane grill was used for most of our dinners. The inside was clean and decorated cute. We are a family of 7 and was very comfortable. The host was easily available. The lake is very quiet and enjoyable. This is our second stay an would recommend it. The 2 kayaks were a plus also the hot tub. Great Stay! Florida Family

This was our 2nd time staying at Jennifer’s cabin. It was just as we remembered but better. So many thoughtful touches… a portable heater for downstairs if needed, towels for the hot tub, more than enough cuddly blankets along with a well stocked kitchen with all the prep tools you’ll ever needed. Our daughter’s favorite memory was being able to fish off the 2 level dock. Walmart is minutes away allowing you to get ALL the bait you could ever need. We closed each day with a cozy fire in the fireplace and firewood was never hard to find as many locals sell it right off the side of the road. Thank you Jennifer for making the cabin feel like a home. Looking forward to our next visit!

We loved our time here! The house was well stocked with everything a family would need for a lake getaway. The back deck was great for eating meals and taking in the peaceful lake views, fire pit for cooler evenings and making smores, and the dock was excellent. The available kayaks are a wonderful bonus. The house is in a quiet cove which makes it nice for swimming.

Lazy Daze Chalet was a wonderful time for the 3rd summer in a row of us. The host is always attentive and everything you need at the lake house is provided. We're already looking forward to next year.

Amazing property!!

This is the second time that our group of friends have stayed at this cabin. We do an annual girls trip and we plan to make this our annual cabin from now on!

Relaxing getaway

Quick response time by home owner from booking to departure. Lovely getaway nestled in a quiet area. Spent evenings around the fire pit and fishing from the docks. Nice escape to the mountains, while minutes away from stores and restaurants.

Great location, nice home. We go on the water for water experiences, but the kayaks and paddle board were outdated and in poor condition! Good floats were locked up in an owner’s shed.

Perfect Little Cove Getaway

This Lake front property has everything you could hope for. It was peaceful and serene with great lake access and the coolest dock in the cove. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessities. We look forward to returning in the future!

Wonderful vacation spot

Location, Location. Directly on the water. We enjoyer the property from the jacuzzi, to the fire pit and especially sitting on the dock or lounging in the water. This house has it all. We spent almost every day in the water. Highly recommended this property. Will definitely be back.

Relax and Enjoy

We had a couple of “LazyDays” at the house with fishing, hot tub time and just sitting around. We spend one full day at the Fall Festival at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Hole in the Wall and Sawmill for breakfast did not disappoint. The house was perfect. The drawing guest book was a favorite of all.

Thanksgiving week

We came for a few nights with our teen boys and were pleasantly surprised to see how close it was to the town of Blairsville. We have family in the area so the short driving distance was nice. The neighbors were extremely close though, which is often the case when on a lake. The home was just as pictured, clean and full of supplies. We left a day early as the weather wasn’t great but we would highly recommend it.

Review

We were really excited for our mini stay vacay for thanksgiving but we didn’t really like the location were the cabin is located also what we didn’t like was that it was extremely messy the shower where really dirty and bedding sheets had hairs on them we had to put them to wash , i will definitely not be coming back to this location. We expected it to be clean especially with all this going on with covid. To access the code it was really easy and also there was no Wifi it didn’t work and tv downstairs didnt work as well.

I am so sorry to hear of these experiences. I wish you had let me know or given me the opportunity to make things right. I have always been very pleased with our cleaning service, they are usually very diligent and conscientious. If they didn't clean properly or left something undone, they would have come back and cleaned it for you. As far as the internet or TV, again, if you had let me know I would have gotten someone out there to fix it immediately. The guest immediately before you did not report any problems so I was unaware if something had gone wrong. I am sorry I cannot do anything about your dissatisfaction with the location - it's a lake cabin in North Georgia, I am not sure what you were looking for that you didn't find.

Great Stay at Lazy Daze Chalet!!

We spent three relaxing weeks from late July through mid August '23 and loved our time at Lazy Daze. First of all, Jennifer the owner is super responsive and friendly. The house is located in a beautiful & cozy cove and faces west so you get plenty of afternoon sun. The screened porch has a great view of the cove and makes for a great location for working, dining, playing cards, etc. It's also very close to town which has some good restaurants (don't miss LaLa's cuban & Jim's Smokin 'Que), Ingles Market, CVS, golf course, Walmart, etc. The house has some wear & tear, but they are minor things and nothing that will prevent you from having a great time. A few considerations you may find helpful: - Cell reception in the area is pretty tough, but the internet at the house screaming fast - No need to bring beach towels as there's a half-dozen located downstairs in the game room - Highly recommend scoring some inflatable floaties (the nearby Walmart sells them for $4) - an end of day cocktail floating in the cove was on of our favorite activities. - Your best best for wine & beer is at Ingles, although they are pricey. For liquor I suggest you bring your own. There's NO alcohol sales in Union county on Sunday's.

Cozy, relaxing cabin on a great part of Lake Nottley

Our family of 4 plus 2 friends of our kids stayed for 3 nights in late June. The property is tucked into a quiet cove that we felt comfortable letting our 10-14yo kids kayak and paddle on their own. The cabin was clean and all the details about the property were very clear. We had a small issue with yellow-jackets when we first arrived, but the host was immediately responsive and sent out professional services to help right away. The cabin is cozy with a really great main room where the upstairs loft bedroom can look down into the den and dining area. Our kids like sitting up top in the loft to watch TV down below. The screened in porch caught a cool breeze in the hot parts of the day. Down stairs our girls kept to themselves playing fooseball and lounging around on the bunk beds. The stone fire-pit area was spacious and comfortable (great chairs!) and we all got to enjoy s'mores without poking each other with sticks. The dock is in great shape and has one of the best ladders I've ever used. We were able to float in tubes under the roof of the dock to enjoy some shade. We rented a pontoon from Nottely Marina and it was easy to tie into the dock. The cove is quiet, but I was able to kayak up to the marina to rent, avoiding leaving a car. Really everything about communicating with the host was perfect. We've stayed on Lake Nottely many years and always our favorite places are the ones where the hosts are responsive. I would be confident in renting with Jennifer every time.

Not exactly what we hoped for

I booked this lake house for my family (6 adults) while in town for a wedding. Although the location was ideal and rhe neighborhood is quiet, the house was not up to our standards. My first impression upon arrival was the musty smell from dampness and uncleaned fireplaces. Once my family checked in there were many issues that needed addressing. They did not tell me because of all the festivities going on but I would have immediately notified the owner if I knew. The house was not COVID clean. They opened the oven and it had not been cleaned for a very long time. Dirty dishes were still in the dishwasher and the porches were not recently swept from pollen. One evening when trying to start a fire in the downstairs fireplace it was clear that the flue was clogged. So they needed to put out the fire. They could not enjoy sitting on the dock because it had not been moved to accommodate the rising water levels. That was fixed by the last day of their stay. Too late at that point. Lastly, there was an information book that was specific about loose trash in the garbage cans, unfortunately there was already loose trash in them when they arrived. My sister spent a good part of the first night cleaning the inside of the cottage which really took away from their time to relax before the wedding. The last day, the electronic keypad battery went dead (it happens) and the homeowner did get back within a reasonable amount of time with a solution. However, it delayed my sister from attending an after wedding brunch. I'm hoping that these things were just an oversight and the home owner will consider a bit more TLC to her property before the summer season kicks off.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I apologize for the issues you encountered and will for sure let my cleaning crew know. Unfortunately the trash must have been from a previous guest who did not head the warnings, this happens. Also, cleaning pollen in April in the South is like brushing your teeth and eating Oreos at the same time - it's impossible to stay on top of. We do a thorough cleaning the first or second week of May every year. I do have a dock tender, but have no control over when he gets out to adjust the docks and if there has been a rainy week that brings the water up quickly, he has a lot of docks to try to adjust. I am sorry this impacted your stay. Also, thank you for letting me know of the chimney, I will try to get a sweep out right away. Again, my apologies for the issues you encountered.

We absolutely loved staying here! The lake house was beautiful and had such a peaceful, relaxing feel. It was also super convenient that Walmart was only about 7 minutes away if we needed to grab anything. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay. My family enjoyed every minute. Love that the kayaks were included in the rental. My boys definitely loved being able to those for fishing. Lake is very clean. We would definitely stay here again!
