PARADISE! Ride-In/Ride-Out Cabin located in St. Elmo, CO. STR Permit#: 005594

Our cabin is the perfect location to call "home" for your vacation or weekend getaway. Located in the San Isabel National Forest with Chalk Creek access across the street. Sit on the front deck and enjoy the sound of flowing water, walk across the street to test your fishing skills or grill and hang out on the back patio with the gas fire-pit. Either location will provide wildlife viewing.

Ride your ATV, dirt bikes, side-by-side or snowmobiles directly from the cabin. Tin Cup pass is 1000 feet away to take you on your daily adventures.

We are located 16.5 miles West of Nathrop, CO in the city limits of the historical Ghost Town of St. Elmo, Colorado on County Road 294. There is very limited traffic on the road out front as it is primarily used by residents to get to their cabins.

Our cabin has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room and a comfortable front room. Maximum occupancy is 4 people.

The kitchen is stocked with everything you will need to prepare your meals.

For your safety carbon monoxide/smoke detectors have been installed in both bedrooms and common area.

*Unplug and enjoy your vacation! We DO NOT have internet, Wi-Fi or a landline. We do provide an internet type phone for your use and the number is posted beside the phone.

We do have exterior video cameras at the front and back of the cabin.

We had an amazing time in St. Elmo!! The cabin had everything we needed and was the perfect home base for all of our outdoor adventures!! We took our SXS's out every day to head up into the mountains - Hancock Pass, Tincup Pass and into St. Elmo. We enjoyed feeding the chipmunks in town and wandering around the old cabins. We played in the creek across the road and were in awe of the changing aspens all around. Thank you, Carol and Ref, for providing such a wonderful place for people to stay! We hope to be back!

The house was spectacular. Super clean and well maintained. Everything was exactly as advertised and the view was awesome. One of the best features of the property was the back patio. We loved sitting out here for hours enjoying the wildlife. We had deer visit us and had a lot of fun watching the chipmunks and squirrels running around. We came to St Elmo planning to ride our SXS most of the time but the cabin was so darn comfortable that we fully enjoyed just hanging out here and making a drive to the general store for some ice cream. Unlike many places we’ve stayed where there was not enough cooking equipment, the kitchen was more than adequately stocked with everything you could need to cook with (even a cast iron skillet!!). The house was clean, well maintained and Carol was awesome whenever I called. We will definitely be back and will be staying here again. Only one real thing to remember, when you get the welcome letter from Carol, make sure you put the code to the house somewhere that you can retrieve it without needing the internet!! We were lucky that the neighbors had internet and allowed us to use theirs so we could retrieve the information or it would have been a 20 minute drive back out to get phone service!

2nd Stay

This is our 2nd time staying at this location. It’s such a great place for 2 couples coming to the area for off-roading. We access the trail system right from the house! Cozy, well-stocked, and beautiful scenery!

Cozy and quiet cabin. Perfect location to ride SxS trails. It’s very clean, mattresses were very comfortable and kitchen well stocked for cooking. Great outdoor area. Hosts were very responsive. We will definitely be staying here again if we decide to go back to the St. Elmo area. Thank you!

Very enjoyable stay.The place is well equipped, clean, and roomy. And the afternoon showers were a nice touch. We proved life can be great without the internet (even though here I am back on it now).

Such a wonderful place to relax

This is the second year in a row we have stayed at the St. Elmo Cabin. It is a beautiful, relaxing place to be. We gave SxS’s we ride which can be done straight from the house. The hosts are wonderful. Planning on booking next year!!!

Had a wonderful time in this remote cabin in the mountains. Everything we needed was available. Beds are comfortable. House was clean and decorated well, you can tell the owners truly love this space. Close to St Elmo, we walked a couple of times. Saw moose, snow shoe hares, deer, pronghorn, marmots and of course chipmunks! Good hiking and OHV trails close. If you want to unplug and enjoy nature, this is the place to be.

Love this Cabin

We had the best time at this quaint cabin. We had access to all the trails from this cabin & a short drive to the hot springs. It was so quiet & peaceful. Any questions we had, Carol & Ref would always answer our call. It was so beautiful up there, I didn’t want to leave. I love, love, love this cabin. I can’t say enough about this cute place. St Elmo trip

This cabin provided the perfect place for us to stay on our recent trip to Colorado. We wanted a place in the St. Elmo area where we could ride our ATVs to trails from the house without trailering and hauling them. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. Saw a bull moose walk through the driveway, and many other wildlife around. Loved the sounds of the river flowing across the road. Beautiful area and very peaceful and relaxing.

Relaxing getaway!

All I have to say is, my sister and I cant wait to get back and stay and next year! The location is absolutely beautiful and the home is lovely and better than expected! So charming and cozy, exactly what we wanted to relax and get away for our trip we take every year. The creek is right across the street and in the end of September the fall colors are spectacular. Carol and Ref are the best hosts, we couldnt have asked for more. Thank you again for the amazing memories! . Carol and Ref arecoul ask more..

Beautiful and Perfect Location

Absolutely beautiful cabin in the most perfect location for riding the trails. The cabin was clean, so beautifully decorated and the landscaping…wow ! The area is quiet and fairly private. Wish we would have had time for the fire pit but got in too late every night. The kitchen was well stocked and all the starter supplies you would need. Owners are very friendly and responsive. If you are wanting ride in, ride out this is your spot. The drive is a bit tricky with two trailers but anyone with experience can handle it.

This is an absolutely beautiful home/cabin in an absolutely beautiful location. You can hear the Chalk Creek flowing from the deck. It’s just dazzling. We would go back again, and we certainly will as soon as we are able. The owners communicate very well, are wonderful people. It’s so quiet and beautiful — I’d like to say don’t go there so I can ask to stay there anytime! But alas, I can’t. So I’ll tell you that you will absolutely love this home, the location, the area, the quiet, the skies. Just extraordinary, spectacular.

This Place was great. the only thing I would suggest is letting people know how tight it is to get trailer in drive way. other then that this place was amassing. would definitely stay there again.

Awesome trip

The cabin is wonderful and the new hot tub, back deck and brick pathway were wonderful additions. The weather was wonderful and sitting on the deck soaking up the quiet sounds of nature and beautiful view were just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Fabulous private getaway cabin

St. Elmo has always been a favorite location for us to visit and ride our Snowmobiles and ATV's. Purchasing property in St. Elmo is very rare and when we were given the opportunity we could not turn it down. I hope you enjoy the area as much as we do.

The trail system for San Isabel is right outside our door. You can ride, walk, hike or fish without having to leave the neighborhood.
