Beautiful Lake house

The home was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. Beds were comfortable and every room was spacious. We enjoyed our short stay and the kids really enjoyed fishing. Would recommend this place to everyone!

Wonderful weekend

It was an amazing house with a wonderful view and plenty of things to do. We had a wonderful weekend and highly recommend staying here. Very reasonably priced and easy to get in touch with the owners. They seem very nice

We had a great time. Very nice house and we had plenty of room for our family of 9.. it was a long walk down to the water but the kids didn’t mind. The adults just stayed on the porch.

Wonderful property

Beautiful location, house was everything we needed very well stocked with bedding, towels, kitchenware. we had 7 adults and 4 children from 8mo to 8yrs and the house was perfect for all. We will definitely be back!!

Family Reunion

We rented this house with another for our family reunion and it was perfect. The lake is gorgeous and the house was very comfortable. We rented a boat and spent all day on the lake. Our entire family agreed it was the best reunion spot yet.

Wonderful lake location with easy access to town or marina

Loved the balcony views! The grill was effortless and clean. We used the house as a base for exploring the area, so we were mostly out sightseeing during the day. We were amazed at the lack of mosquitos on the open deck--not one!

Well stocked lake house

This lakefront house is well stocked and was the perfect getaway for our family of 5. Ample room for all to spread out. We enjoyed all of the water toys at the dock. Could easily accommodate two families.

Outstanding property!

I rent on VRBO regular and own two rental properties myself. This home is VERY well kept. Owners must have used an interior decorator - it is that nice! Highly recommend!

Hiawassee Heaven!

This property made our family get together an unforgettable experience that our children and grandkids will always remember! We felt right at home, and the property was complete in every way! Perfect Lake house

This was our 2nd stay in Bear Paw, but our 1st in the Dock Holiday home. It was amazing being right on the water, where we spent most of our time fishing and jumping off the dock. Make sure you have EVERYTHING before you head down to the water, because walking up the stairs was rough haha. The hosts were great with communication!! Plenty of space for the 6 adults and 3 kids. Sitting on the deck watching boats go by while grilling was amazing & relaxing. We rented a boat from the marina, went gem mining, visited Field of the Woods, & fished a lot at the Hiwassee damn. We will be returning to this beautiful Lakehouse!!

What a beautiful home with gorgeous lake views!

We had such a wonderful time here! 9 family members from Asheville, NC and Florida. Plenty of room for all of us and room to spare. Breathtaking lake views from almost every room. The dock is just steps away and stocked with kayaks, canoe and paddle-boat, and we enjoyed boating and swimming off the dock. The marina is very close, and we rented a pontoon boat one day and had fun tubing and exploring the beautiful lake. House is thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities, and we enjoyed playing the various board games there on a rainy afternoon. Beautifully decorated, it truly felt like home for our stay there. The absolute only negative about our stay was the phone reception and Wifi could be a little spotty at times, but it gave our kids a chance to disconnect from their devices from time to time. We truly enjoyed our stay here, and look forward to coming back to this magical place! Thank you!

Absolutely stunning!

We decided to travel from New Hampshire to North Carolina to visit friends and rented this Lakehouse. The house was absolutely stunning, well appointed, clean and had plenty of space to have our friends over for dinner and to visit. They did not stay overnight due to children in school and their schedules, however the house would’ve been plenty big enough if they had decided to stay. We enjoyed canoeing and kayaking. We even caught some fish. The weather was absolutely beautiful and we were able to go swimming and enjoy the sunshine. The 110 steps down to the water is easy, it’s 110 steps up to the house that remind me, I need to get back to the gym. Lol. The hosts were very responsive when booking and I have no doubt if we had any issues they would’ve been responsive. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at DockHolliday.

Perfect Vacation

We had such a great time at Dock holiday!!! We had 4 adults and 6 children in our group. The house was beautiful. The kids were very excited when they found the bunk room downstairs. When we weren’t at the lake, that’s where they spent all of their time. We liked that they had Dish network so we could pop on a movie for the kids after a long day. The upstairs rooms were nicely furnished. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We put in a Walmart curbside pickup at the closest Walmart so we had groceries for the week. This was the perfect house to stay at during a pandemic because we didn’t need to leave. The adults were able to sit on the deck and eat dinner while enjoying the amazing views. The views...... they were amazing! The pictures don’t do it justice! Getting to the dock is a hike in itself. We were worried about the kids but they managed it. We spent most of our days down on the water. They had plenty of boating equipment, floats(electric air pump attached to pavilion), noodles, fishing poles, etc. The house did have WiFi. It’s still hard to get another type of service or signal but that’s to be expected in the mountains. I just can’t explain enough how much we loved Dock Holiday. It was the perfect spot for us. We hope we get to go back!

Peaceful Retreat- a true gem

Our vacation at Dock Holiday has been one of our absolute favorites. It is by far the BEST VRBO we have ever stayed at! The home was immaculately clean. The decor was welcoming and SO beautiful. I didn't feel like I was staying in a rental with cheap yard sale and dollar tree supplies, it truly felt like a well thought out, beautifully created home. Everything you will need for a wonderful vacation is provided. From extra pillows, blankets, games, life jackets, to kitchen supplies, to little details like sound machines in the rooms. I normally bring along extra pots and pans and cookware to VRBO homes. ( We have a large family and we always have to have extra supplies) It wasn't needed at Dock Holiday. Jessica has thought of EVERYTHING. We were able to make lovely meals and had more than enough cookware and dishes for our family. Jessica is very easy to work with and prompt in responding. We had minor issues with the air the first day we arrived. Jessica quickly responded and had it repaired immediately. Our favorite part of the vacation was the access to the water. We spent a lot of our time on the water kayaking, canoeing, swimming from the dock, and fishing. From life jackets, floats, pool noodles to kayaks, everything you need for a fun time on the water is supplied. Overall, Dock Holiday is a home that makes you feel like you can truly rest. Leave your worries at home and relax. We will definitely be making a trip back!

Long weekend family getaway

What a wonderful stay at Jessica's lake house. The house was clean and had almost everything we needed. The lake view was beautiful and just a short walk down the back stairs outside. The rooms were comfortable and there was plenty of space for the 4 of us. Just be sure to bring any groceries/food you need as the nearest grocery store is more than 30 min away.

Loved the house and location

Overall this is a great place I give it a 9.5 out of 10 only thing it’s missing is a hot tub house and lake are beautiful I don’t suggest someone who has trouble walking going to the deck it’s a hike lol but we loved the house the walk to the lake was a reminder that we aren’t 20 anymore since we are all late 30s into early 40s with teenage kids but everyone had a great time!
