Cabin is nestled on one acre with pond. Wonderful getaway for fishing and swimming. Very quiet and peaceful area. Only 3 miles to downtown and 5 miles to casino. Whitewater rafting and kayaking on nearby Nantahala river.

Cabin was very nice. Host was very responsive to whatever we needed. I would recommend this cabin,especially for families, as the entire downstairs with 2 bedrooms, full bath and living area would be perfect for the kids to hang out. The upstairs has master bedroom, bath, kitchen, dining and living areas. There are about 6 steps going up to the front door and about 15 steps to the downstairs. I mention this so renters are aware and can handle the steps. The town of Murphy is very nice. Lots of restaurants and shops. If you're looking for good Italian food, I highly recommend Perrones. There is a huge Walmart close by that is very nice. Can buy all your groceries and pretty much whatever else you need. Very friendly people everywhere we went. We came up to relax and play some golf. Three nice, reasonably priced courses within 30 mins of cabin. Butternut Creek GC, and Old Union GC are in Blairsville GA, and Mountain Harbour is in Hayesville, NC.

This rental is very nice in a beautiful location on a pond/lake. It was very comfortable with nice amenities. It made me wish I were a kid again. I would have loved the water toys.My friend and I stayed there and, as seniors, we found all the stairs challenging but it would be a great place to stay for younger people and families.There were so many interesting collectibles and cute decorations but I would like to suggest that there were more flat surfaces were left clear to put out stuff on.The kitchen was great with lots of counter space.Kay was a delight to deal with.

The property was exactly as described. It was well equipped. In fact, it was the most equipped home I ever rented. Communication with the hose was excellent. Issues were taken care of quickly. If you want quiet in a quaint setting, this is the place to be. If you're senior you'll be happy to know the path down to the dock is easy as well as the trip back up. All in all this place was the best. Great for a single, a couple or a family of children. It's definitely off the beaten path.

We stayed 4 nights at the peak fall change this year! The home and location are wonderful!! The house has everything you need, and the view was beyond relaxing! Local suggestions--Andrews Rail Tour, Two Crows Farm, Fields of the Wood.

We really enjoyed our stay. The only negative comment would relate to the one lane road. We enjoyed sitting on the screen porch overlooking the pond. The kitchen was stocked better than any other place we've stayed, and the bed was very comfortable. The host was very accommodating and easy to communicate with.We would stay here again.

Relaxing retreat

Lovely cabin. Well kept with a relaxing view of a pond. Will say that the drive thru the neighborhood is a bit stressful, as it is a one lane winding mountain road, but worth the drive.

Anniversary vacation

Really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We got to do a lot of fishing on the pond and we caught a lot of fish using the paddle boat provided. Thanks for letting us stay we hope to come back again.

Despite the rain

Property is as advertised. We had a wonderful stay despite 5 days of heavy rains. Convenient to town and the casino. Finally got to fish on sixth day but only had two bites but no catches. Would highly recommend this property for its quietness and view of pond. Will definitely stay here again.

Relaxing & Fun Stay in Murray,NC

We really enjoyed our stay here. So much room for 5 people with spacious living areas and bedrooms. Great amenities like the kayaks and the screened in porch with a lovely view of the pond. Highly recommend this rental for cooking meals as the kitchen is super well stocked with anything you might need. The place was very clean and the host’s quick responses were appreciated.

Just perfect!

The house was delightful, very clean! Nost well stocked rental I have ever stayed at. No, serious, it has everything you could need, plus some! Plan to come back, hopefully every year!

Pond Getaway

Beautiful pond and outdoor area led to great fishing. We caught about 15 fish in one day between the two of us. The view from the porches is amazing and the outdoor bed is great for napping! The cabin is well laid out and very clean! Downtown Murphy is close by and the Casino is only about 10 minutes away. We enjoyed our stay and Kay was a great host.
