New, clean, comfortable

The bungalows are beautiful, have a full kitchen, cute decor, and perfectly located, you are further down on the main drag in Santa Teresa so it is a little quieter and super close to an awesome surf break. Nice pool, helpful staff. Not super sound proof from the people above you and the ants seem to find their way in for a few hours around dusk. Would stay again!

Quiet beach get away.....not so quiet...

We were hoping to get away for a quiet week together at a beach town, after being in a fishing tournament the week before. Santa Teresa is definitely a beach town, but if it's quiet you're looking for, this isn't the place. The average age is 25 (or younger), and the town is full of ATV's and dirt bikes. And.....it's extremely dusty! (We went Feb 26th through March 5th 2022). We reserved a ground level unit, but when we arrived, we were put in a second floor unit. My husband has bad knees, so the 58 steps to get to the apartment was a chore for him, but after the first couple of days, he got use to it. We both agreed that the 2nd floor unit is better, especially if we were on the ground level and there was a group of young kids staying above us on the 2nd level. I probably would have left! I love kids, of all ages, but we were looking for a quiet get away. We ended up spending most of our time in adjoining towns, Mal Pais, Playa Carmen, the fishing village. The beaches weren't as crowded and the younger kids didn't want to be on those beaches. Thankfully, we had a 4 wheel drive vehicle (enclosed) so we didn't have an issue driving to these other places and using the apartment in Santa Teresa as our home base. Our host was outstanding! He even arranged for someone to come to the apartment the day before we were to leave CR to administer our COVID tests so we could return to the states. Cute little town, but noisey. I wish we had gone 35 years ago, it would have been a great party!

Hi Judith, We appreciate your time to write us a review. I am sorry to hear that Santa Teresa is maybe not you expected. Luckily you can on the right moment because the road is paved since last year and you would have had way more dust before. Santa Teresa is very popular at the moment and luckily there is still a good vibe. I double checked your reservation and in fact you reserved the upper bungalow and not the lower bungalow. Also to be honest we never had any issues with noise level from the upper bungalow while staying in the down floor bungalow. Great to hear you enjoyed your stay and liked or concierge services. We would be pleased to welcome you anytime in the future. Thanks

Beautiful property in a lovely town

Everything about our stay embodied the meaning of relaxation. The property was absolutely beautiful, the staff was incredibly kind and helpful, and the town of Santa Theresa was a surfer's paradise.

Very peaceful

We stayed at Maramar for a surf vacation. The property is ideally located near the best surf. The staff was pleasant and helpful; the apartment was clean and well appointed. The property is very safe (in a safe town to begin with) and very peaceful. Highly recommend.
