Little Brook Cottage Mount Desert Island “Pet Friendly”

The cottage is studio-style with a full kitchen and bath. Decorated with a classic theme. The space feels like being inside a little fairytale house. The cottage is behind the main house on the property.

A short car ride from unlimited walking trails. Just up the road from the Bass Harbor light house, and a short ride to Bar Harbor.

Away from the Bar Harbor crowds but close enough to discover everything our island has to offer.

Discover Mount Desert Island from your own, quiet suite. Free buses (the Island Explorer), ferries across to the "quiet side of Acadia" - Schoodic Point, festivals, and more.

Come home after a day of sightseeing or hiking to your cozy suite and relax among the beautiful landscape.

You'll love your vacation at Little Brook Cottage.

1 Queen bed and 1 foldout twin bed.
Dog friendly for 50 pounds and under.
Pack and Play available if needed for child.

The Twin foldout bed is great for child, but 3 adults can fit! Great, place hot shower and bed! Best suited for 2 adults plenty of room. The square footage is 300 square feet. Keep in mind it’s a studio and small. Perfect for 2 people and 1 small guest!
Keep in mind that it’s small but perfect for 2 people very cozy. Also, we are not set up for handicap access.

Enjoy the trails of Wonderland, Ships Harbor and Bass Harbor lighthouse 5 mins away!

Come back and enjoy your very own fire pit! Sit under the stars! Gas Grill and Lobster pot also included.

Small, cozy, had everything we needed. Very quiet with lovely grounds. Hostess lived on the property and was quick to answer questions and remedy a minor issue that came up. Modern bathroom and fully stocked kitchen made this tiny cottage feel like home

It was a great location, beautifully decorated cottage. The stargazing experience was wonderful which we would have enjoyed more if we were allowed to have a fire. There are great cafes and trails nearby. I would recommend this place. Only feedback is on two things, communication. We didn't hear back on initial messages at all but were able to get in touch as we were leaving the town. Second would be to provide coffee filters and unexpired coffee. It's a small touch that provides such a great experience.

Cute Homey Cottage

This was this cutest little homey cottage. It was very clean, had everything we needed and nicely decorated. It was perfectly sized for two people. We had the best stay!

Bass Harbor Little Cottage

I enjoy finding tiny house options for my vacation stays. This one fit the bill perfectly! Clean, cozy, and charming. Not to far from local attractions but far enough for quiet nights slumber.

Cozy base for exploring

The cottages easily accommodated our family group of five adults and three children. The beds were comfortable, and the well-appointed kitchen enabled us to cook meals. There were many thoughtful decorative details to boot.

Lovely little cottage with easy access to the western side of Acadia NP

Enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It’s location makes it quick and easy to access trails and sites in the western half of Acadia. I was really pleased with how well stocked the kitchen was and was easily able to make multiple different meals throughout our stay. The main bed was also really comfortable. Would book again if I ever came back to the area.

Quiet Side Stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The space was a bit on the tight side, but we managed just fine. We picked this quiet side location to be away from the craziness of Bar Harbor, and it worked out well.

Perfect Cozy Cottage

My two teenagers and I spent three days at Little Brook Cottage and loved it! Robbin has done an excellent job of making sure guests have everything they could possibly need and does an excellent job of communicating and responding to all questions you might have. The cottage is beautifully decorated and felt very clean. Should we ever be back in the area, I will definitely look into staying here again!

We loved it.

A bit tight on space, but not a big deal. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and is located close to all great restaurants, attractions etc. It had everything you would need in the kitchen from making a snack to cooking a full size meal if you wanted to. We spent a lot of time hiking in Acadia National Park, and when we would come back to the cottage it was a welcome sight. We would most certainly stay her again.

Cozy cottage close to Acadia and other places

It was a pleasure staying at Robbin’s place. The place is cozy and has a beautiful backyard with a grill and fire pit. The place has all the kitchen utensils and grilling equipment. I would say the one thing to keep in mind is stay here with someone you are close and comfortable with. The bathroom is very close to bed and leaves a small opening when closed. We enjoyed the location which is walkable distance (5 mins) to an ice cream shop and a convenience store/gas station. We encountered a few small issues and Robbin resolved them so quickly. I would recommend staying here and enjoying the amazing Maine nature.

Great Spot for 2

This converted garage/cottage was a great place to stay for two adults! The space is laid out well, but if you are traveling with more than 2 people it will be tight. Comfortable bed and the kitchen is well-stocked with pots/pans/other cooking appliances. The tap water is not potable, but there is plenty of purified water provided. The fire pit outside is a nice spot to relax! Be sure to bring bug spray if you are traveling in the spring/summer. Home manual has lots of great suggestions for places to eat/shop and spots to book activities. Overall a great stay. Only ran into the other guests staying on the property once and they were very friendly. Would certainly stay here again.

Perfect quiet, peaceful and cozy retreat.

My husband and I just finished our stay at Littlebrook Cottage and were thoroughly pleased! The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and was extremely clean. The location is very quiet and peaceful so we were able to really enjoy cooking out and sitting around the fire pit. The property is located close to the Big Cottage but the owners have done a great job keeping things separate so it felt like we really had our own space. It was also a very quick drive to Seafood Ketch where we watched a gorgeous sunset over dinner one night and to the cute little town of Southwest Harbor that has quite a few different dining and shopping options without all the crowds of Bar Harbor. We also had our Golden Retriver with us and loved that after our days spent hiking and swimming that there was a bath outside just for hosing down our dirty, happy pup! The property is close to many different hiking options including Bass Harbor lighthouse and Wonderland trail which both had great views of the water. Robin was super helpful and available getting us situated for our stay. All in all a great property and great location. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at this cabin. It's the perfect size for two people and offers a peaceful escape on the quieter side of the island. The location was ideal, with easy access to the main park visitor center/Cadillac Mountain ( 30 min drive) and several great area hiking trails. We also enjoyed the wonderful restaurants and shopping nearby. The cabin was clean, and we appreciated that the kitchen and cabin was already stocked with essentials. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, too. Contact with host was a bit delayed but did answer our questions. Thank you for a great stay!

Quiet, Country Cottage Close to Trailheads

Perfect Quiet Space

I loved this location away from all of the busyness of Bar Harbor. The cottage had everything I needed for cooking there, and after a few nights on the road with questionable showers, the heat and pressure of the shower were amazing!
