Really great property

Secluded cabin in the Catskills. It was clean with all the amenities you would need for a stay in the area. We would stay here again.

Great view and nice spacious cabin

Nice Cabin in Catskills

The cabin was great and Michael was a really good host with excellent directions, cabin was nice and clean and warm, had a well-equipped kitchen, and everything working well. We had a great visit!

Love the quiet

Michael is a great host. We always love our stay here and only wish it could be longer. We were here for ten days in October…the leaves were turning and weather was great.

Lovely getaway in mountains

I had a great time at Michael’s place. He was very easy to communicate, providing information regarding property and wildlife beforehand. His cabin is very clean with excellent amenities. We had a great time and definitely will return!!

Fantastic cabin and location. Home atmosphere with full equipment kitchen, tree big comfortable bedroom and two bathrooms. Clean, looks like very nice owner just left to give you space for vacation with open hearts.

Winter Weekend Getaway

Amazing property. Secluded yet close to downtown Margaretville and other towns. A great place for adults and kids alike. Michael was an exceptional host. So easy to work with and highly responsive to questions with detailed info about the property and restaurants, hiking areas etc. Highly recommended!

Weekend getaway from the city

The property is as advertised and was thoroughly enjoyable. The seclusion and solitude were just what we were looking for this weekend. There are plenty of trails, hiking and water activities nearby to enjoy the wilderness and beauty of the Catskills. Highly recommended!

A Great Week in Andes!

This home was a joy to stay in! It is secluded and surrounded by amazing natural beauty. Hummingbirds, Chickadees, rabbit, and deer were all seen from the deck against the backdrop of the Catskills. The owner was friendly, communicative and so knowledgeable about the area. If you are looking to relax and reconnect with nature, you can't do better!

Michael was very accommodating when i messed up our booking and needed an extra day lots of hot water would stay again only need number of cabin on house aittle hard to find

Clean and spacious cabin

Neighborhood is very quiet. Sky is very clear and you can see a lot more stars in the evening. There are about 50 yards dirt road; an SUV will be good.

Simply Lovely

We have NEVER booked the same house two years in a row… until now. This is our second time renting this home in Andes. Location is beautiful- quiet and off the beaten path, House is clean and cozy, owner is available if needed but privacy is respected. We will, I am sure, be back! Thank you for sharing your home.

Very remote and peaceful

As shown. As described. Difficult to find. Owner should drop a pin and pass to renter for intersection of property road and nearest paved road.

Vintage vibes for a weekend away

Imagine visiting your cool world-traveling uncle's mountain cabin while he's away - that's what this home is like. Warm and welcoming, cozy and comfortable, this cabin was the perfect place for a weekend in the mountains, and I wish we could have spent more time here to wander the property and flip through some of the many vintage books on the shelves here. The funky art and natural specimens gave the place very cool vibe, not to mention the impressively huge jade plant in the living room! We cooked breakfast in the full kitchen, watched some birds flit around the trees in the afternoon, and curled up on the sofa with a movie at night. We would definitely come back and stay here again!

Hidden gem!

This was such a great place to ring in 2025! We really appreciated Michael's communication, starting from before booking. Before he confirmed the reservation, he let us know that the wood stove was temporarily out of service and wouldn’t be repaired until after the holidays. We’ve definitely stayed in places that accepted our booking but upon arrival, a key feature failed to be available/wasn’t working, so Michael’s openness was refreshing. We had a good feeling even from that interaction and decided to move forward with the booking. So glad we did! The house was still cozy and warm enough with baseboard heating. The immediate area surrounding the house was private and large enough for a small hike. And the view of the mountains right from the living room? Breathtaking! The town of Andes, while small, was cute. We had lunch at the diner—which was about a 12-minute drive from the cabin—and enjoyed a post-lunch walk down the rail trail. The TV setup (and superb surround sound system) was great for a slow night in after a day out. The beds were on the firmer side, but still comfortable. The water in the shower was warm, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the wi-fi was fast. We also want to give an honorable mention to the books around the cabin. I would return for a week just to devour more if I could—so grateful for all the unexpected book recs! You can really feel the love and care put into the cabin. We would definitely recommend for a quiet getaway in the mountains.
