This sweet little cottage next to the Wisconsin River had everything we needed--decent beds, a good shower, a comfortable couch and chair, a kitchen table that seats four. Best of all, the dog-friendly property included an expanse down the hill our mixed shepherd loved.

This is a great place if you are looking for a centralized location to explore Wisconsin! Loved having the Wisconsin river behind us! While we didn’t do this, it would be a great place for kayakers and other water enthusiasts. Would absolutely stay here again!

Very cute place, loved the waterfront area! I was so sad I forgot my paddle board - it would have been perfect. Also recommend bringing bug spray and a couple extra blankets.

Beautiful, rustic property on the river with privacy and ample outdoor space. Conveniently located to many activities and areas. Very clean and homey. Highly recommend!

My pup and I had a great time! We explored many segments of the Ice Age Trail and Devil's Lake State Park, walked down to the river to enjoy sunrise and sunset and listen to the many birds. The kitchen had everything needed, wifi was great, comfy furnishings, lovely decorative touches. Arrived on an 85F day, and left on a 40F day - fall in Wisconsin! - so I was grateful for both the AC and heat. The house is cozy; there is seating for 4 around the kitchen table and in the living room. Bed was comfortable. Travis was very helpful in answering my questions before I booked. Wonderful region of Wisconsin - I want to come back because there is more to explore!

Everything about our stay was excellent. Well stocked kitchen for cooking, grill for cooking outside. Nice short walk to the river which we loved hanging out by. Great fire ring by the river, we sat up late and watched the Perseid meteors. Host was very responsive with any questions we had. So much to do in the area we were always busy. We will definitely be booking in the future!

Cute little house on the Wisconsin river that is an ideal home base to drive to various state parks and natural areas (Ferry Bluff, Natural Bridge, Tower Hill State Park, Blue Mound State Park). We brought our kayaks and you can put in by the house, but there is also a boat landing 1.5 miles away if you have a boat. The weather didn't cooperate for kayaking but no worries, Sauk City and Mazomanie were close by to do walking and get something eat. Travis, the host was accommodating and easy to communicate with. Would stay here again.

Nice place, well stocked with kitchen and cooking stuff, everything you need in the bathroom, and comfy beds and pillows. Location is great, nearby shopping and restaurants and right on the river for fishing. Highly recommend!

This is a perfect getaway place for two, or a small family. Very comfortable and quiet. Travis is great and accommodating, such as when we had to check out late due to a late tour we took.

This little cabin is great, but the main attraction is the gorgeous river view. The fire pit by the river was such a treat after a day of hiking. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The Wisconsin River was located a short walk behind this property and it was beautiful to see. There was a mowed path to the river that was shared with a neighboring rental property. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything that we needed. The air conditioning was nice to have on during our stay. I would recommend bringing bug spray if you plan on walking to the river. Thanks Travis!

With college cycling national championships in Madison/Waterloo the same weekend as UW, had to find something a bit further away for my son and I to stay between his races. This ended up being perfect--quiet, nice kitchen for preparing big meals, beautiful view of the river, easy drives to the venues. Travis was a great host. And my son did great--10th and 3rd, so it even brought good luck.

The primary problem we had was a lack of communication with the host and vbro. We aren’t sure who was at fault. The host sent one address and vbro another when I paid and did my final confirmation. As a consequence we moved our baggage into a cottage we discovered was occupied when we started looking around. When I called our host he was many miles away on a trip and was unable to respond in person. He told us to move our baggage to another cottage, which we did. However I and my companion are quite elderly and mobility impaired so it was an extremely difficult proposition to move. We were so exhausted we couldn’t go to the play for which we had prepaid tickets and as a result lost quite a bit of money. The host was very apologetic but this was a costly mistake for us financially and in our enjoyment of the trip.

Great weekend getaway!

We had an incredible 3 days at the cottage. Fishing on the river and evening campfires were thoroughly enjoyed by all. We will visit again!
