Exquisite Bay Views. Charming Cottage.

Come rest, relax and be renewed in this charming beach cottage which offers exquisite views across the Bay to Mount Baker, when the grand lady shows herself, and is a haven for eagles, deer and a variety of aquatic life. You will probably view sea lions bobbing in the bay from time to time, and even an orca or two may surprise you as you enjoy breakfast or a coffee on the patio. An easy walk or drive to the beach at Diamond Point.

The beach-cottage is cozy and bright with two bedrooms (including a Queen bed in each), one-and-a-half bathrooms, a kitchen, and plenty of room to lounge inside or out on the deck. The cottage is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so you’ll have all the privacy you need.

Amenities include: Kitchen (including coffee-pot, full stove, fridge, microwave, toaster & crock-pot).

The Perfect Weekend Getaway

Cozy and tranquil

My wife and I relaxed and enjoyed our five night stay in this warm and comfortable cottage. The area is quiet and serene with great views of Sequim Bay and the occasional ships that pass by. Only a hop, skip and a jump to downtown Sequim or the Seven Cedars Casino. Plenty of nice places to dine and shop. The Hosts are wonderful. We couldn’t be more pleased.

R&R Magic

Escaping to Peninsula for some time at Lake Crescent and Sequim with 2 teenage boys for the weekend. Fantastic accommodations, comfy beds and pillows, reliable WiFi, easy to find and check in, expansive view of the sound and enjoyed our stay immensely. 5 star hosts and highly recommended!

Family staytogether

The furniture was the most uncomfortable i have ever been on. All our backs hurt. The outside was the same. Nothing comfortable to sit on and the kitchen nook was awful. You literally fell off it. The beds were good but everything else was awful. Not worth the money we spent for 3 nights. I would never come back or tell anyone else to.

Peace and serenity

We had the most peaceful 5 days ever! The cottage was wonderful, incredible views, comfy beds, everything we needed. The highlights were sitting on the deck looking at the calm waters of the Sound, seeing bald eagles and herons fly by, and relaxing in the sun. I recommend this beautiful cottage to anyone seeking a time of serenity filled with nature’s beauty.

A lovely anniversary get-a-way

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shalom Chalet Beach Cottage. It was just the quaint, quiet location we were looking for and the views were incredible. The house was clean, bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we could need. There were plenty of towels, paper products, and travel size soaps/shampoo at our disposal which is not always the case with VRBOs. There aren't any closets in the bedrooms but each room had a small armoire to place clothes for those who wish to unpack and one of the bathrooms had a makeshift rack for hanging a few things. There is not a dishwasher or washer/dryer on the premise but for the two of us and length of stay, we didn't find this a problem. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive to our questions. The check-in/check-out process was simple and did not require an extensive list of "to-do's" before leaving the property. It's apparent the hosts support a restful and easy stay for their guests. It's about a 15 -20 min drive to the town of Sequim for access to stores, restaurants, or other conveniences so guests should plan accordingly. We felt like the distance "to town" added to our feelings of truly being away from it all. We enjoyed some hiking over the span of two days and highly recommend visiting the Dunguness Spit if you have the time. We would definitely return in the future and hope to do so!

Cozy Cottage, Stunning View

We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks at the quiet Shalom Chalet, soaking in the morning sun on the deck, enjoying meals with the same stunning view from the dining nook, and sleeping in comfortable beds. A daily close up bald eagle flyby was a special treat. We couldn’t spot a nest but it must have been almost on top of us. We also appreciated Caleb and Janine’s hospitality and clear communication with us as we planned our trip. As we relocate to the Sequim area, we’ll definitely recommend Shalom Chalet to our friends and family who come visit us.

Deserves 10 stars

I cannot even begin to say enough wonderful things about Shalom Chalet and it's owners. The chalet was perfect for my husband, daughter and I to stay at for four nights (I would have been happy staying there much longer!). Actually the pictures don't do the chalet justice as there is a lot more room than one would think. The deck is amazing with awesome views. Though we didn't cook the kitchen was well stocked and we especially enjoyed having a choice of several coffee makers. Having the use of the washer and dryer was a huge plus. We were especially touched when Caleb and Janine contacted me because of bad smoke in the area. Janine actually stopped by with an air purifier for us to use! What wonderful and thoughtful people they truly are. The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful - just perfect. I saw a bald eagle fly by one morning while having coffee, and we also saw what I'm assuming were some sort of dolphins. Nearly every day we'd see deer and every night we enjoyed the "Bat Show". For those scared of bats - don't worry at all - they only show up for a very short amount of time, fly around to eat some bugs (never close to the deck, so no worries), and then disappear. We loved watching them every night. The first night we got to the chalet we could actually see Mount Baker way in the distance! I recommend Shalom Chalet for everyone - you can't go wrong staying here (we'll definitely stay again if in the area)! Thanks for everything, Caleb and Janine!!!
