Peace and serenity await you! Come, rock on our spacious back porch and relax. Read a book, chat with friends and enjoy your favorite beverage. Take in the unobstructed 180° plus mountain views that rival those of the Biltmore. See if you can identify Mount Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Gorge, Hawks Bill, Shortoff Mountain and South Mountains. Need to stretch your legs? Pack a picnic lunch and hike our nature trails to the waterfall. Thirsty? Head to the numerous wineries and breweries nearby. Need to cool off? Take a leisurely dip or swim a few laps in our community spring fed lake. Don't forget the sunscreen! No matter the season, there is always something to do, even if that means doing nothing at all! We are located in the gated Grandview Peaks community about 50 miles east of Asheville, NC, 36 miles to Black Mountain, 22 miles to Morganton and 15 miles miles west of Marion, NC.

Gorgeous View!

This house had everything we needed for a short famly getaway to rest. The view is amazing and the house is so comfy. The grandchildren loved the games in the game room.

Wonderful views

House was wonderdul with great views. Kitchen was fully stocked. Basement was a great place to hang out in the evening after a long day.

Can't say enough good things about this property. The house was beautiful, the views were incredible, and the house was well-stocked with anything and everything you could possibly need. Would love to return one day. Zero complaints!

Beautiful, Peaceful View From a Beautiful Home

The previous reviewers are correct. The view is beyond words. This was our annual sister trip, and we spent every morning and evening on the deck just appreciating the beauty and peace and quite. There were also a few mornings we spotted a couple deer. Even though I was unable to, some of the others walked/hiked to the waterfall and also the lake. Even though the house is in a subdivision, when you're at the house, you wouldn't know there were other homes around. The DeMarco's are exceptional hosts. The house is well stocked with just about anything you would need other than the food you plan on preparing. Shelley responded immediately to all questions and concerns. There is also a small garden. We had fresh blueberries every morning, and lettuce near the end of the week. This is not just a rental property. It is obvious with the love and attention put into this property that the DiMarco's also consider it their home.

Wonder Christmas stay

Our family this trip consisted of five adults and two children. As mentioned in previous reviews, the hone and property are much better in person than the pics depict. It’s a beautiful home in a beautiful community. Home was clean upon arrival and oh the space! Plenty of room for everyone. TV and surround sound experience downstairs was great! I left the best for last, you will not find a better view in the Carolinas!

Perfect holiday vacation house!

Not only are the views spectator, but the house itself is beautiful and completely stocked with everything you need. The DiMarco’s are wonderful hosts that provide a perfect home for a relaxing getaway! We will definitely be back!

Best rental house ever!

Seriously the views from this home are the best! Home is better than the pictures. We loved the game tables, and the fire table outside. Kitchen well stocked. Lots of cozy blankets to snuggle in.

Fall Get Away

We (2 couples) and had been wanting to get have a fall get away in the this area for a couple of years. Shellie and Brian (Hosts) were very accommodating with any questions we had and made it clear that they were available at all times if needed. The views were beautiful, especially off of the back deck of this gorgeous home. Beautiful gated community. The house cozy and comfortable. You'd be hard pressed to find anything you need was not here. The kitchen was completely and fully furnished with any thing you'd need for meal prep, full size appliances all newer and not low quality. Bedrooms well furnished and comfortable, plenty of extra blankets and pillows were available if needed. If we decided to come back to this area, this would be the place to stay. The only thing that we weren't expecting was to have the towels all washed and folded before leaving. This was part of the departure instructions sent 3 days prior to our trip. We all decided to shower the night before so we could still try to be on our way on time. The community also does not have any outdoor trash receptacles/dumpsters (wildlife area) making it necessary for us remove our own place to take the trash. The one place that is close by isn't open on Sunday (our departure day). etc so we had to find a place to dispose of all trash. These are not deal breakers, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. In conclusion, this was a lovely place and we enjoyed our long weekend there.

Perfect get away trip to the mountains

A little family trip with our cousins. Everyday we woke up to a different breath-taking view of the mountains and the changing colors in the trees. Comfortable, spacious, and fully equipped home. Just what we needed!

Beautiful, Relaxing Mountain Getaway

This is our third stay at D'View and we enjoyed it every bit as much as our first. This secluded, private mountain retreat is perfect for anyone needing to unplug and enjoy the natural beauty of the Smokeys. Highly recommended.

Outstanding Experience

We stayed for five days during the Christmas break and the experience with this property was amazing. The entire rental process was smooth, the owners were easy to reach if needed and the property was flawless. We enjoyed nearly everything that was offered in the home. The beds were comfortable, the bathrooms and kitchen were pristine, and the home was custom and well laid out with plenty of activities for our family to enjoy. As a family of six we had plenty of room to stretch. The home had some holiday decor which made it even better. The pictures undersell the home. It’s truly lovely. The community is lovely and most importantly the outdoor views were breathtaking. We plan to return in the warmer months. One thing that was different was navigating trash disposal process and getting it to the local convenience center as we didn’t want to keep trash in the home or outside due to wildlife. There’s one near the home with limited open days but another one 15 minutes further up the road near the highway with longer hours. Once we got the hang of this everything was fine. Overall, this was a 10 out of 10 experience and we hope to return soon.

Thanksgiving Mountain Paradise

Mountain views from this property are really pretty. The layout of the house is great with so many amenities. We spent a lot of time enjoying the game room and outdoor fire pit. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you could possibly need. The entire house was extremely clean and comfy. The property managers were amazing to work with. Look forward to visiting the beautiful home again. Favorite VRBO by far.

Perfect Getaway

This is our second year in a row staying at D'View for Fall Break and it was every bit as good as we remembered it. If you're looking for peace and quiet with stunning views and no shortage of things to do in your own private community, this place fits the bill. We will definitely be back.

This cabin was perfect. Fantastic property, excellent views, all the amenities you need.

Great location, fabulous house and endless views. West facing porch for spectacular sunsets. Game room was great. Kitchen has everything you need. Bathroom and water pressures were great. Absolutely perfect. It is situated right between Linville Falls and Chimney Rock areas, about 30-45 min to each. Definitely coming back.

Fantastic view!

My family and I spent a long weekend here. The cabin provided great access to surrounding areas of Marion, Rutherfordton, and Lake James. Beautiful neighborhood and cabin. Small Issue is the owners request you to take all your trash when you leave. Highly inconvenient.

Great family vacation in Nebo, NC

This property was fantastic. The views of the mountains were gorgeous, the house offered more than adequate room all of our immediate family (5 adults plus 1 child) and there was plenty of games to play (card games, pool, fuseball, darts, etc.), plus there was a nice, clean small lake with a beach to go swimming. I would definitely stay again. A big thank you to the DiMarco family for opening up their home to us.

The perfect home base for our trip

We loved our week at this home. The porch and rocking chairs are amazing - we spent every morning and almost every evening out there. The home had everything we needed. It was very clean. The game room was a big hit - we played lots of pool and darts, plus some board games too. We did have a few questions for the owners and they were very responsive and kind.

Absolutely stunning!

I simply cannot say anything negative about this home! The moment you open the front door and see the view, you are in awe! The view is beautiful, the home is gorgeous and well thought out and the game room has everything needed to entertain the whole crowd! The back deck provides enough seating for everyone. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the sunsets! Even sat out there during a rain storm. The kitchen large and is well stocked. Our group had four couples, each having their own spacious room and bathroom. The layout of the house is simply perfect! The home is tucked back in a beautifully maintained, rolling neighborhood. Enjoyed the drive in and out just to look at all the properties and views! Thank you for sharing your home with us! We hope to be back one day!

Absolutely ideal

This property was absolutely perfect for our trip to the mountains. We’ve stayed in many Vrbos and this one was far and beyond the best experience. It felt like we were in our own home with all the extra things available to us! The home was so well stocked should you forget anything. The view was phenomenal and we had so much fun at the lake. We did not want to leave when the time came! The house was so comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed a really neat thunderstorm one night and fog and also clear skies! We will be back!!

Glorious sunsets in a beautiful home and neighborhood

We can't wait to come back to this beautiful, well-laid-out (kids slept on the bottom floor) home that was clean and had everything we needed, even an electric kettle. Beds were comfortable and rooms were nice and dark at night but plenty of light during the day. The sunsets can't be matched and we loved the long-range mountain views available from the deck and the kitchen and living room. The quiet, gated neighborhood is beautifully maintained and the landscaping at the home is lovely. From the house, we could not see near heard the neighboring houses. The lake with the sandy beach and shallow swimming area within the gated neighborhood was a huge hit with the kids. We found good hiking 45 min to an hour away in South Mountains State Park and Chimney Rock. Minor things: you do need to plan to take all garbage out and there is no fire pit for making s'mores. Communication with owners was excellent, and check-in was super easy. This is easily one of the best cabins we've stayed in and one we'll return to.

Best VRBO Property - house and views are incredible

Check-in Process was super easy. House was very clean, and the homeowners definitely gave a lot of thought into what needed to be in the home to help their guests have an awesome stay. I don't think there's one thing I needed/wanted that wasn't provided. The neighborhood lake was perfect for adults and children to enjoy. The residents in the community were cheerful, and everyone waved when we drove by. One of our favorite parts was hiking to the neighborhood waterfall. My children spent an hour just exploring the shaded/relaxing area. This is a rental that could be enjoyed regardless of season, for sure. The downstairs game/TV room was a big hit and the views were top notch. Would stay here again. Worth every penny.

Relaxing stay with a great view

Great house with a beautiful view. House is well appointed with plenty of kitchenware, books, puzzles, movies and other things to do. Neighborhood hiking trails are well established easy to follow. Owners were super responsive to the few questions and issues (internet went down one day). ~30 min drive to grocery stores - but the view and peace and quiet was well worth it!
