Oceanfront Retreats and Reunions, panoramic view! up to 24 People! New elevator!

Take the entire family to the ocean! The oceanfront R and R House has two big rooms, which each seat up to 34, plus the garage has games, TVs, sofas, foosball, karaoke, BBQ, laundry and hot tub. Fun for everyone! Elevator to take you between the three floors, too! Remember to close the accordion door on the elevator or it will not move--slide it shut behind you when you exit.

Each R&R House big room has a big-screen TV with DVD and cable, free wireless internet. Six bedrooms, four bathrooms (we like the double showers!), two fully-stocked kitchens including side-by-side fridge, free laundry, hot tub, room for up to 34 seated, including folding tables and chairs, and beautiful ocean views. Karaoke setup in the garage with seating, too!

The tables provided are standard training or seminar tables, each 8 foot long and 1.5 foot wide. Ideal for a retreat, seminar or family reunion. Enjoy the privacy you just cannot get at a hotel. Enjoy long walks--over two miles of sandy beach both north and south.

Walk the short trail to the beach on our property or you can drive onto the beach about 0.3 miles away. The beautiful hikes of Olympic National Park and the Quinault area are a few miles further. Watch the whales migrate from the deck. Go clamming in season. Visit touristy Seabrook 3 miles south.

Bring pets if you wish! Pets are welcome for only $10 per pet per night extra. Please contact owner for availability and more information, especially if you have a large group.

Yearly family vacay

We had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with tools. Easily housed all of our people with room to spread out. Access to the beach was terrific and views couldn't be beat. Already booked again for next year.

Family Reunion at the beach

This is the second time we have stayed at this house on the beach for our family reunion and we will definitely be returning again. It is the perfect house for accommodating a large family group with 6 bedrooms, 2 kitchens and a large space to all gather for meals as well as a wonderful place for the kids to play games together in the evenings. Lots of family memories were created here and we look forward to making more memories here in the future!

Great family reunion place

Eight adults and 3 children, from 10-69 shared this lovely duplex for 3 nights. It's spacious with plenty of opportunities for privacy. Well stocked kitchens enabled meals for everyone and we could you eat together! The beach is a short walk away. The views from both floors made sunsets a treat.We highly recommend it!

Location is amazing. House was just what we needed.

Owner does a good job. A few things in disrepair, but over all great. Game room is rustic but our group enjoyed it. Kraoke, hot tub and foosball. The beach is a short walk and beautiful. It was nice to have room for a long table.

Great place...close to the beach!

Nice place, close to the beach. 6 bedrooms with 4 bathrooms is sure nice. Even though two floors are connected by outside stairway.

Great time

A bit smaller than pictures looked, but overall we had a great time. The dining room chairs could use thicker padding though as your bottom felt like it was going through the chair. The view of the ocean was breathtaking.

Im sorry to say this property is in serious need of refreshing, furniture replacement, appliance repair. I have communicated this to the Host and am very much hoping he will address the issues. There are literally too many issues to list. Here are a few: hazardous closet door, unuseable diningroom chairs, dryer had no heat, futons in basement no one would want to sit on let alone sleep on(they are listed as beds in property details) stained furniture, stained towels. The list goes on. The elevator is great and much needed! Proximity to ocean is great and beach is beautiful! We have stayed in several homes in this price range so we have comparisons. Unfortunately this house is rough in comparison.
How I found the closet. That loose trim covers a sharp glass edge.
Top shelf of closet. Sign posted next to shelf says leave organized or get charged extra...this is how I found it.
Same closet full of stuff.
Trail to beach. Super pretty but be aware there is a part with steep steps.

Fantastic Stay

Stunning views. This property fit our family perfectly! The teens enjoyed playing games (huge selection) and watching old school VHS videos. The toys for the little kids were also a big hit. We were able to have family dinners accommodating 15 people with the extra tables and chairs provided. The elevator was great and easy to use. Lots of lasting memories made. We are already looking at dates to come back next year.

Great place for a large group!

We celebrated my parents 60th wedding anniversary, so all the kids and grandkids made it to the "Rough House" for the celebration. The house had pretty much all the utensils and cookware we needed to make meals, etc. The beach is much nicer than the pics on Doug's page, as was the interior of the house. All in all, we are planning to return a year or two down the road.

We loved our stay.

The ocean view was amazing and the beach a short walk from the house. We enjoyed the hot tub and short drive to Ocean Shores for a day of additional fun. Four of our family groups had a great time, including nine kiddos age 2-11. Everything was clean and comfortable. The layout of two floors with kitchen, baths and bedrooms worked well for us. The elevator was super convenient, especially for unloading and loading all of our gear. Doug, our host, was always quickly responsive to my questions. Thanks for a wonderful family vacation!

Nice view, but some issues

The view was wonderful & as advertised. Furniture was very worn & could use some updates, including dining rm chairs, beds & toilet seats (unstable). Beach access was also great but i feel the number of beds was inaccurate (not enough for all the couples we had, though the listing made it sound like there were). Also, the wi-fi was terrible.

Great Location, So-So House

5 stars for location, supplies, sleeping arrangements and cleanliness of the property. House had issues, mainly leaning away from the cliff (about 3 inch floor level difference back to front and walls off by about an inch) enough to make you notice. The deck and stairs were leaning enough to make some afraid to use them. Top floor AC didn't work well and with missing blinds, the top floor often reached 85 degrees in the afternoon. Wouldn't mind going back but wouldn't pay what we paid.

Great location and lots of room for family and friends!

This house was located in a great area. You are a one minute walk from the beach, the view is phenomenal and there was lots of space for everyone. The biggest downside was climbing up so many stairs to the top floor loading and unloading everything. I wasn’t quite prepared for the amount of exercise that took. (Although I did put my share of steps in during our stay! : ) Overall we loved it. It rained quite a bit so we were inside and the board games galore made it fun for everyone to be together. I would recommend staying here, just be prepared for lots of stairs! Thank you to the owners too for great communication!

Sunsets, rainbows and clams

We have stayed here before and love the location. Beach directly across the street. We can view the beach fire and the kids playing from the deck. Very clean. Has all the cooking items that you will need. Love the pantry with spices, coffee,tea and a few other items. Some much needed repairs were done..and, that ELEVATOR!! Unexpected luxury! We usually have had to haul up 3 flights of stairs. We set up one of the long tables in the garage for clam cleaning. Easy clean up with the hose. They had extra clam guns and buckets for guests. As I am now in my 70's, the only complaint is that I wish the neighborhood would fix the shared path to the beach. A little scary on the log steps and muddy. But we will be back.!!

Sadly, not what we expected.

We would give the location a 10. But after dropping $3000, I expect much more than less than par appliances, dripping plumping where you have to empty a large bucket, dirty surfaces, rickety deck and stairs, sliders that don’t open easily due to being dirty and not maintained. They advertise a great view. Be prepared to view through filthy windows. The pathway to the beach needs to be addressed. Very difficult to navigate safely. I know that’s something that needs to be addressed by the whole neighborhood. We had a great time despite these issues, but we won’t be back.

Awesome beach house for a crowd

My only complaint was that check in was listed at 4:00. We happened to get there a bit early and it still hadn’t been cleaned. Management company was very matter of fact that check wasn’t until 5. We hung out at the beach and it was ready at 5. Very clean. We had 9 adults and 2 kids and it was perfect. My whole family really enjoyed our time together. As one level mirrors the other we fixed our meals and hung out on the upper level. The kitchen is a little small but worked fine. Love the big table we could all sit at. We had fun game nights and brought our own but they had many many more there. The view is breathtaking. It’s nice to walk down a path to the beach. Since we had a physically challenged person with us we also drove 1/4 mile down the main roads and drove her onto the beach. The beds were great. It was an amazing time.

Moclips Oceanfront House

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in the property. We rented the full property and it worked great for 9 adults, 5 kids and 5 assorted dogs. (This was great for us as everyone loves their dogs as family and it is hard to find places that will take young kids and dogs) I loved just being able to sit on the deck and look out at the water. As all properties there are quirks but nothing that we had not expected from other rental experiences. House was well supplied, Doug was very responsive. I thought the garage area was attached to the main living areas through some inside stairs but the only access is actually through the garage doors. Nothing you can do about it because of the location but be prepared for hiking up all the stairs to bring in and take out your stuff. Make sure to bring younger people for this part ;) It was a short walk down a trail to the beach but again if you have any physical issues parts of this trail are rough. To get around this you can easily drive your car on the beach to right in front of the house to meet up with others. We are trying to come up with dates that work for all of us so we can book again next summer.

We recently stayed at this spacious house with its many rooms, well-stocked kitchen, and impressive ocean views. The collection of board games was a fun touch and added to our enjoyment. However, there are a few areas where the property could be improved. The dining chairs were quite uncomfortable, lacking proper support, which made for less pleasant mealtimes. Additionally, the elevator proved challenging to use, as it requires all doors in the house to be closed, and we struggled to get it working. We found the hot tub's location less than ideal, and it would be better if the garbage cans were stored elsewhere rather than in the playroom/entertainment room. The beds were a mixed experience; some found them comfortable, while others did not. While the collection of board games and DVDs is generous, it does occupy a lot of closet and dresser space, making it a bit inconvenient for storing personal items. A few maintenance issues were noticeable, such as slow-draining sinks and bathtubs, and several burnt-out lights above the dining room table. The cleaning was also not up to our standard. Despite these points, we didn’t reach out to the owner during our stay, so some issues might have been addressable. Overall, while the house has potential, there are areas that could benefit from some updates and attention.

Mediocre at best

Overall, we were a bit disappointed in the condition/cleanliness of the property. Although a a couple positives to list as well Positives: view/location are wonderful!!! Negatives: Garage setup as a media room- which is a great idea, but the furniture is old, there were food crumbs on the furniture from a previous guest- futon covers were old and unable to be fully closed to cover the old futon mattresses. Overall a bit unpleasant. Washing machine in garage is small and spin cycle didn’t work Deck/Stairs: the stairs and deck are falling apart. There were nails/screws falling out under the deck and in the driveway. The stairway was leaning which made us nervous. We avoided having 2 adults on the upper stairs at the same time. Lower unit: furniture was old. Cushions on dining chairs were worn out so when sitting, sat on the frame of the chair. Chairs also covered in stains. Washed all the kitchen utensils before using them. Lots of crumbs in bottom of kitchen drawers. Spiderwebs throughout lower level. Mattress in main bedroom has springs poking out. No screens in windows, although comments on prior reviews said this would be fixed. Upper level: furniture a bit better, although AC wasnt working. Overall, we were a bit disappointed in the cost vs quality/cleanliness. Would NOT stay here again and/or recommend.

Only good thing about the location was the beautiful view of the ocean. Epic fail on everything else

There was evidence that neither deep nor Covid-19 cleaning had been done. Dust and staines on the walls in some of the rooms, dirt on floor, and carpeted areas had not been vacuumed. The upper level lock box doesn't work. It was unlocked when we arrived and exited. The lock on the upper level slider door is hard to latch onto. Pet hairs on the futons on the upper level living room area. Listing boast of karaoke machine - it was non-operational with 2 broken microphones and a note on top which indicates the owner is aware but failed to replace/repair it. Leaking hot water heater in the garage leaving floor and carpet wet with a moldy smell. *Iron Cross - white supremacy kite in the garage in plain site. This was very offensive to my entire family! Warn and tattered futons in garage needs to be replaced. Bad smelling wash room in garage. Only access to property is via several flights of stair (not mentioned in the property description). If you have mobility issues, don't think of renting this place. Listing boasts of having two kitchens and a Jacuzzi for use. One burner on each stove top didn't work at all. While cooking for my sisters birthday gathering both electric ranges stopped working all together leaving food half cooked. There was sand in the Jacuzzi upon arrival. The Jacuzzi is also located in front of the garage with open access to anyone. The microwave on the upper level doesn't heat food. Both top bunk beds on the upper level have broken slats with red tape on them. One of the upper level bunk beds has a stain on the bottom right side. The toaster on the upper level only works if you stand there and hold the button down until bread is toasted. I mention this because we had 11 adults and 5 children to make waffles for. We discovered the dishwasher didn't work after loading it with dishes for cleaning. The refrigerator on the main level doesn't get very cold even at the highest cooling level. The light near the shower in the mater bathroom on the main level was out leaving the shower area darkened; peeling ceiling in the master shower stall. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing rental for the amount of money paid to have nothing but issues during our stay. My first and most likely my last VRBO rental. Be warned!!!

Great Beach House

The view from the windows and decks is to die for. There is a very short path directly to the beach. We rented both levels as we had 18 guests. Having both fully outfitted kitchens made fixing meals allot easier. Everyone enjoyed themselves, those that wanted to be on the beach and those who wanted to just sit on the deck, watch the ocean and read.

Great location

The good: beautiful views, comfortable seating, beach access, two kitchens, 25 minute beach walk to store, 11 minute walk to great restaurant at the top of the hill, comfortable beds, hot tub. Accommodated many guests while giving most people the privacy of their own rooms. The bad: basement/garage area was pretty dirty, we didn't end up using it, but there was plenty of space on the floors above so no big loss. There were no screens on the bedroom windows, so I woke up with bug bites on my face which I didn't love. The top deck was a bit rickety/uneven and underneath it actually appears some bolts have been sheared off the I-beam. That last one made me genuinely nervous and we tried to ensure we didn't have more than two people out on the deck at any time. All the stairs were a bit uneven. There are only stairs on the outside, so this wouldn't be a great rental for the rainy season, but fortunately we had nice weather for our stay. Overall, all my guests really liked it. None of these problems really interrupted our stay because we were mostly inside chatting or eating, or walking on the beach, and it was great for all of those activities. I've seen other reviews complain about the kitchen, but we didn't have any problems. I would book it again if it got some window screens.

We were losing money in the stock market before it became a popular thing to do. We tried to invest the money we were saving for our children's college in a spot that would be fun for family and friends, yet allow our kids to go to college. So far, we are not quite breaking even, but we enjoy it anyway, and some of our kids have graduated! We built it ourselves with family reunions and retreats in mind.

Here is a place to enjoy oceanfront activities and views with friends and family. Where else can you get a spot for up to 34 family or friends, where you can all sit at the same table? In two different rooms? Where some can sing karaoke while others sleep? Where you can have the entire two acre property to yourself? Try our double-showers, too! Although secluded at the end of a dead-end road, we are walking distance from a very nice, special-occasion restaurant. However, two full kitchens have all the utensils you might need.
