Waterfront Bay of Fundy Bedroom /En-suite Oasis

Small, cozy waterfront bedroom with ensuite overlooking the picturesque Bay of Fundy and the historic Margaretsville lighthouse. The “Oar House” is a private and self-contained unit, featuring a queen bed, full bathroom with a small fridge and microwave . Next to your entrance is a relaxing 2 person hot tub, available for your use. Enjoy stunning views of the bay from your bedroom and bistro table out front. Convenient parking is provided right next to the rental. The cozy accommodation is located next to our main residence, which was once a dance hall built in the 30's.

The property commands a spectacular vista of the Nova Scotia side of the Bay of Fundy. Our small community is a short 12 minute drive to the Annapolis Valley where all amenities can be located. There are a number of surrounding towns and villages offering wonderful restaurants or you can bring snacks and drinks to store in your mini fridge. You will love strolling the quiet streets, and with every step, another spectacular view can be enjoyed. Our property is under 45 minutes away from Wolfville, offering top tier wineries, under 1.5 hours from Lunenburg, a charming coastal town, and under 2 hours from Halifax.

Margaretsville is a very small, but very scenic town. Dining options are limited to a few restaraunts a short drive away from town. The accommodation is one small room adequate for single or couple only, beautifully kept, with an outside hottube and beautiful view right on the ocean. Hosts (Liz and Ray) could not be nicer or more helpful. Middleton is a good size town with all conveniences a short drive away.

We lucked out

I had done no homework on Nova Scotia before making this reservation. I just knew I wanted to be on the Bay of Fundy… There is nothing in Margaretsville, except the lighthouse which is literally in your backyard, but it is halfway between Wolfville and Annapolis Royal, the two must see towns. If you need groceries, stock up before you get there. I think the closest restaurant is 30 minutes away. The unit is a bedroom and bathroom with microwave, small refrigerator and coffee pot. There is a table and chairs outside with a nice hot tub.

A fantastic home base with an incredible view.

This beautiful ensuite fit our needs for this trip, acting as our "home base" while we visited family and friends across Kings and Annapolis counties. We knew the room and bathroom would be on the smaller side (as outlined in the VRBO description), but both rooms were more than comfortable for two people to use over a weekend stay. We found it quite warm at times, but this was largely due to the very high humidity experienced during our visit. Luckily, there was a standing fan available, which made our sleep much more comfortable! We didn't use the hot tub on this stay, but it looked clean, well kept, and very simple instructions were provided. We were grateful for the fridge, microwave, and coffee set-up, and enjoyed our interactions with our lovely hosts, Liz and Ray. We will absolutely consider booking this rental again for future trips and will recommend it to friends and family as well!

We enjoyed the area (despite the hurricane) and breakfast with the hosts and the hot tub. Nice to be able to see the Bay of Fundy from the window and be able to walk to the lighthouse and a waterfall.

Wonderful experience!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this studio. Liz reached out the day before our arrival with helpful tips about checking in, and couldn't have been friendlier and more hospitable. We arrived rather late after a very long drive, and in short order were sitting on two lawn chairs watching the sun go down over the bay. It's a wonderful place for a sunset with the little lighthouse in the the foreground. Then later we had a long soak in the hot tub which was the perfect thing after the drive. Liz's husband Ray also couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful with info about Margaretsville, which turned out to be a magic little gem of a village. The studio was very clean and thoughtfully appointed, and its proximity to the Bay of Fundy really was as advertised. Kudos to Liz and Ray for making this a wonderful place to stay.

Lovely ocean front spot.

Had a wonderful time. Hosts go above and beyond with hospitality. Delicious breakfasts. Room and bathroom smaller than expected but clean and cozy. Walking the beach and watching the tides were highlights. Hosts arranged lobster availability for my birthday supper which was so special. Would stay again.

Cute and cozy

Very clean and well maintained property and rental unit. Liz and Ray are great host. They provide everything one could ask for including the best fresh made coffee I have ever had. Margetsville is a gem of a town. Quiet and peaceful. The walk to the waterfall during low tide is breathtaking. Very highly recommended. If your looking for a cute and cozy place with no disturbance, you have found it here. Thanks again Liz and Ray

Liz was amazing! Only met Ray the morning of our departure but enjoyed our short chat with him. Was easy to find with great directions from Liz. Beautiful spot right on Bay of Fundy. Room was spotless and breakfast each morning was wonderful. Was great chatting with Liz each morning and getting ideas for things to do and places to eat. Will definitely return!
