Traditional Cretan Stone House with Ondas
Welcome to our traditional Cretan stone house originated back to 1900. Our two floor fully renovated cottage has two separated large bedrooms with private bathrooms and a large fully equipped kitchen, a fireplace and a large balcony with a spectacular view. Ideal for those who are seeking to explore the old traditional Crete combined with natural and relaxing vacations and open-air activities, just 9km from the best beaches in Crete.
The house has two independent very large bedrooms on the ground floοr with two private bathrooms, one Onda double-bed and one single bed, each one accommodating three persons. At the first floor, there is a large fully equipped kitchen (please check all amenities provided) with a long dining table, a fireplace, and a living room, easily hosting 6-10 people. At the same first flour, just outside of the kitchen there is a large balcony with a spectacular view, ideal for dining and relaxing time.
The house will be entirely rented to the guests. Up to three guests, access will be provided to the first bedroom. If more than three, the second independent bedroom will also be activated.
The village is almost fully renovated by locals and Europeans who love the Cretan way of life and village's unique climate. During summer time it is a truly multinational village. In the village, there is only one local very sweet and traditional taverna at the main square just forty steps down, and a great artistic Music Cafe Wine Bar 250m to the right. All other restaurants and shops are down on the coast at 9km. There is no public transportation up to the village and a car is necessary to enjoy the beautiful area and the beaches. The road to the village is very good and easy to drive just 10min from the coast and 20min from the main city area of Ierapetra.
The house is located at the top neighbourhood, overlooking the sea and the olive trees valley. It is a quiet village at 600mt altitude, ideal for walks either down to the valley or up in the mountains. The magnificent south-Crete beaches are just 9km away. Overall, it is the perfect spot for a close-to-nature relaxing vacation, combining the sea life with the wilderness and open-air activities.
