The Twisty Maple House

Nestled in the valley in western North Carolina with beautiful views of Bear Wallow Mountain. We have aptly named this property "Twisty Maple" for the unusual tree that's become our namesake. Twisty Maple offers a home away from home with a personal touch. Run by family and friends, the house and grounds offer perfect spaces for vacations away or for hosting your most important occasions. This secluded and yet convenient to Asheville home is a little slice of heaven on 21+ beautiful acres. Roam the spacious grounds and have coffee on your private large deck, as you watch the mist rise from the mountains. Watch the deer and wild turkey as you relax after a long day of hiking or exploring Asheville and it's many eclectic restaurants and breweries. Kick back and snuggle up in front of the fireplace when the weather gets chilly with a cup of hot cocoa.

Magical

This was our second stay at Twisty Maple, although there were more of us this time. Even though we had some cool, rainy weather, we agree we had an absolutely magical time. This is a gorgeous place, with a reasonable amount of privacy. We feel lucky to have found it, and are looking forward to our next visit.

Incredible Experience - Perfect Celebration Location

Amazing property, location, view, staff and beyond. Celebrating our important life event here was the best vendor decision we made. Getting to celebrate for an entire weekend was a great decision. There are some rules to follow, but nothing over burdensome. Hopefully we’ll be back!

Twisty Maple: A Haven of Peace and Natural Beauty

I recently enjoyed a stay at Twisty Maple, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the serene beauty and welcoming atmosphere enveloped me, offering a perfect retreat from daily life. The accommodations were not only comfortable but also beautifully appointed. The highlight for me was the garden tub in the bathroom—soaking in it after a long day was the epitome of relaxation. What made the experience even more unforgettable was the scenic mountain view from the backyard, adding a majestic backdrop to an already serene setting. Nestled on a quiet country road, surrounded by lush trees and open fields, Twisty Maple provided a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit!

Bachelorette weekend

Annette and Jessie and crew made our experience amazing! So much hospitality down to the smallest details! Great communication, so clean, and some treats from the area. Loved staying here and will definitely book again in the future!

Everything was perfect!

We had a wonderful and beautiful weekend getaway here, and we can’t wait to hopefully come back one day! There were 14 in our group, plenty of space for all of us both living and sleeping-wise. It was nice to feel so comfortable to socialize inside and outside, and we didn’t have to worry about disturbing people around us (we weren’t overtly loud, but 14 people is also a lot no matter what). Not too far from downtown Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, hiking, etc. There wasn’t anything that we felt was lacking while we were there, and the owner was incredibly pleasant to speak with. Perfect combo of charm and modernization, very homey and comfortable :)

Family gathering

We had a wonderful time at Twisty Maple for my family’s annual gathering. The weather was perfect, which allowed us to stay out on the big patio. The view is fabulous! The location isn’t far from Fletcher and Arden. Asheville is within a short drive as well. We highly recommend Twisty Maple!

Absolutely Incredible

We had the best weekend of our lives at Twisty Maple. We got married at the venue on site and stayed on the property with our wedding party and my parents! The whole experience was relaxing and peaceful. As soon as we arrived, the chaos of wedding planning was gone. The nature and wildlife surrounding the property was beautiful and the views...geez! We also got to have a bonfire with some of our wedding guests the night before the wedding, which was incredible. It is the perfect place to relax, drink coffee on the porch, and chat with friends and family. The house was clean, the beds incredibly comfortable, and the personal touches so lovely. The house felt so homey. We could not say enough amazing things about this place and the people who run it.

Mountain View Beauty

We enjoyed the beautiful location of this rental. The house had nearly everything you can use in the kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms. The lovely view of the mountains each morning watching the sunrise was amazing. Our stroll around the property proved extensive and fun. The owner was very attentive and helpful when we had questions. Thank you for letting us enjoy this beautiful home.

A slice of paradise

My party and I had a delightful stay at Twisty Maple. The house is super cute, and the grounds are straight out of a storybook. My favorite part of the house would have to be the living room where you almost feel as if you’re outside since the windows really pull in the surroundings. Jessie and Annette are both friendly and accommodating. Would love to go back someday!

An Amazing Wedding Weekend

Michael and I stayed at Twisty Maple with our wedding parties on the night before and night of our wedding. We could not have asked for a better experience! Anette and Jessie were extremely helpful and the home itself was lovely. Enough beds and bathroom space for everyone and the tub in the master suite was massive! We would definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for a wedding venue or just a family weekend!

Enchanting stay in a mountain home

We had the most beautiful time at Twisty Maple. It was warm and welcoming, cozy and eclectic decor, and plenty of space for all of our guests. The property itself is breath taking and hosted the most magical wedding we could have imagined. Jessie and Annette were both so responsive and warm and helped with any questions or concerns we had, and made a busy weekend feel so relaxing in such a beautiful place. It is so warming to look out at the mountains, especially when we were there in the early fall ans the leaves were starting to change. I can't wait to be back one day!

Feels like home

We got married at Twisty Maple last year and decided to come back for our one year anniversary! TM feels like home - the mountain views are perfect, especially this time of year, we love the swinging on the hammock underneath the trees, and chatting around the warmth of the fire. Jessie and Annette are so kind and the best hostesses - the house is clean, organized and cozy. We look forward to future anniversaries and memories at Twisty Maple!

Unforgettable

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at Twisty Maple in mid-September. Throughout the planning process, Annette and Jessie were communicative, flexible, and helped plan the most memorable day of our lives. The house itself is a dream, appointed with personal touches all throughout. The house is impeccable, and our entire group felt at home throughout our four-night stay. Even though there was a rather large snafu during our reception, the team at Twisty Maple handled everything with professionalism and poise, and made sure to have contingency plans in case anything happened. We felt so cared for, and will hopefully be able to say hello to Twisty Maple again soon.

Excellent mountain home

This property is absolutely beautiful. It has all the amenities you could ask for, and is only a 20 minute drive to Asheville. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed it and we will definitely be back. We spent most of our time on the patio that has an amazing view. 5 stars!
