O.P.Taylor's "Big Game" house.

Lovely older home 4 blocks from town recently renovated. Three bedrooms, master with private bath and sliding glass doors to a large deck and hot tub for 8 people.Bedroom #2 has a 3/4 full size bed and a twin, bedroom #3 has a pair of twin beds.All bedding is new Jameson Marriott five star mattresses. The two guest bedrooms share a beautiful tile bath. The den has a full size fold out sofa bed for overflow, or kids that want to stay up late and watch a movie on Netflix or from our video library. The house is close to the Music Center and only 4 short blocks from the center of town so you can walk to great restaurants, shops and breweries. The backyard is fenced, well behaved pets are okay.

Amazing home great location

This is our second time staying here! The house is great and walking distance to downtown and music and breweries on King St. We will be making many more trips and will stay here each time!

Great house

This is our second year at the house and we really enjoy staying. It is the most well stocked house I have stayed at, so many spices and so many pieces of cookware. They are great hosts!

Great choice

The location is perfect. The space inside and out is great. We enjoyed daily walks with our dogs. It is a quiet neighborhood. It was a comfortable house. Another wonderful place to stay in Brevard.

It was great

We really enjoyed playing bumper pool! Enjoyed Thanksgiving with our son who lives in Brevard and went to High Falls. The only thing we needed and didn’t think to bring was a hdmi cable so we could watch our home team play football and basketball on the tv rather than our laptop.

Quaint home that met all of our needs!

John and Susie were was amazing hosts! From the easy checkin process, to wine/beer/chocolate to greet us, to TONS of games/cards, and an awesome hot tub! Fenced in back yard was a bonus since I brought our little dog. Upon leaving we were asked to do minimal tasks which aided in us still sleeping late and gone by 11am! While we didn't use the bikes, that was an added bonus!

Perfect location

It was just what we needed for a girls weekend getaway. Hosts were great! Hot tub was fantastic and being able to walk to town was perfect.

Looking forward to our next stay!

The house is centrally located within easy walking distance to downtown and the Lumber Arts District, home to a brewery and restaurants. Pisgah National Forest and Du Pont State Park is only a short drive away. The house has been nicely renovated, and was clean and well stocked. We found the beds very comfortable. The internet was a little slow but was useable. The only small thing I would recommend to the host, is to change the curtains in the bedrooms to blackout ones. We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Place in Brevard

We loved the Game house! It was so well stocked with anything you could possibly need. Beds were comfy towels were super soft Water pressure was awesome Hot tub was nice Fire pit was great The game room was perfect for our family The fireplace in the living room is an added plus Location and owner are great! Loved our stay this year for Halloweenfest! 🎃🎃🎃

Relaxing Getaway

Enjoyed our stay at this rental! The house was overall well-appointed with a stocked kitchen, bathrooms and game room! Beds were very comfortable as well! Communication with the owner was seamless! Enjoyed the fireplace as it was a little chilly for our visit! Always appreciate a rental that welcomes our older well-behaved dog! Would highly recommend!

Amazing property and owner

This property is updated with all the amenities you need. Kitchen is very well stocked. Even had coffee. Plenty of towels for hot tub and showers. All the beds were comfortable. Game room provides entertainment for all ages. Owner was accessible before, during and after the trip for questions. Neighborhood is walkable. We hope to stay there again.

Great location

The house and beds are welcoming and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the deck and yard are fantastic. But as good as all this is, the location beats them all. Easy walk to great restaurants, coffee, bakeries, breweries, shopping.

Mountain escape from Florida

We had an almost 4yr old with us and other family staying close by with a three and a five year old. The kids really enjoyed having toys to play with. I really enjoyed being close to town and easy walking neighborhood.

White Squirrel Trip

Our stay was wonderful! John and his wife are great hosts and stay in communication very well. The house is exactly how it was listed. Beds were great, cleanliness was exceptional. The game room was perfect as my son loved the three in one game table. It was a big hit. Best part of all I even enjoyed seeing a white squirrel in the yard. Definitely a nice vacation and a nice place to stay. I would definitely recommend this house if you want to relax and enjoy family fun! Thank you John!

Perfect spot!

We had a lovely weekend in Brevard staying in this house! The location is perfect and easily walkable to Main Street. The house is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Birthday getaway

We 100% enjoyed our stay and am so glad I decided on this house for our weekend in Brevard. We easily walked into town everyday for shopping and dinner. Then, walked to a bar and home from there! The location can’t be beat. Hot tub was clean and a relaxing way to end the day. So many towels and the home was very well supplied with anything you could need! Lovely!

Best place to stay in Brevard

This cozy home is perfect! I came with a couple of friends for a few days in April, came with a different friend for a few days in July and have just booked it again in October to bring my family. It's so close to everything in Brevard! Other than one trip into Pisgah Forest to hike, we didn't move the car the 3 days we were there. There are many excellent local restaurants as well as fun shops. The paved bike path is a couple of blocks from the house so we took advantage of that as well. Thank you, John, for the hospitality!

Fully equipped & very close to downtown.

A really great place. Clean, comfortable and very well-stocked kitchen with cookware and all basic staples. Large deck with hot tub, secure bike storage and only a few blocks from the bike path. Close to town and Bracken Preserve (but still quiet and private). Plenty of off-street parking. We did not take our dog this time, but seems good for 1 or 2 well-behaved pups-good area for walking.

Best host!

John was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. There were welcoming notes that made us feel at home. The location was close to all the local restaurants and businesses. The property had everything we needed and more! I would definitely recommend this house, host and stay here again!

Lovely getaway to the Big Game House

Thete are not enough stars available for communication with owner, he was excellent! We love playing board games with our kids, so this house was perfect! Had a nice hot tub, deck was a great place for breakfast and that sought after morning quiet time with my coffee. We loved spying out the white squirrel who lived in the back yard, he was precious! Not to mention the surprising visit from a ground hog!! The neighbors were very friendly, and it was in perfect walking distance to go get ice cream in the evening and perfect driving distance to go hiking in Pisgah and see waterfalls. The kitchen was well stocked so we were able to have breakfast and dinner nearly every day at the house to be budget concious. The location is great for both adventurers or home bodies who like to walk to historic downtowns. Highly recommend this house!

Great stay in Brevard

Big Game House provided a wonderful place for us to stay on our Biking trip to beautiful Brevard and WNC. The house is easy, walking distance to the shops and restaurants of downtown. However, you may not want to leave the house, as it is well stocked With games, foosball, bumper pool table. Very comfortable bedrooms and living area. The hot tub and back patio as well as the fire pit were great fun. We look forward to coming back to this property as soon as we can make it to the mountains again. Thanks for the wonderful stay.

My my my! Wow...just wow. We've rented dozens of vrbo's over the years and I have to say your rental "first impression" knocks it out of the park! The welcoming lights on, the little notes here and there, the wine and beer...such nice, top-notch touches. Thank you so much for all you've done to make us feel so very comfortable and welcome 😊

The house is within walking distance of downtown Brevard and the world famous Brevard Music Center. It is also a short bike ride to the Bracken Mountain Trail, a challenging ride for any level of mountain biker.
Although the house is located close to the action, it is nestled in a very quiet residential neighborhood.
Brevard has so much to offer any visitor, from 200 waterfalls, thousands of miles of hiking and biking trails, the Brevard Music Center, square dancing in the street, lots of excellent restaurants and breweries, you will be so busy you will wonder why we bothered to put TV's in the house!

That doesn't look like it is going to happen anytime soon, so we are listing on VRBO.The care and love that went into restoring and modernizing this house will be obvious to anyone that sees it, we want our daughter to have a home that will last a lifetime!
