Cottage Retreat was a beautiful place that was very clean. It was in a good location that was easy to get to a grocery store, Southport, Oak Island, and Caswell. The kitchen was very well equipped with whatever you need for cooking. The master and guest beds where very comfortable. The Murphy bed was comfortable but a bit small for our 5'10" son. Each bathroom was clean and has nice quality towels. It was great of the host to provide beach towels, chairs, and an umbrella. Overall we had a great stay at Cottage Retreat.

This was absolutely the best place in St. James. This is our family’s 5th year to Southport and by far this has been the best accommodations we have had. The communication between the owners and I was more than amazing. We are so excited to come back next year! The condo was extremely clean which means everything to us! Can’t rate this place high enough!

Wonderful Place for Extended Family

This property was what we were hoping for to allow for extended family to visit with family members traveling to be with us. My parents stayed in this unit, providing them their own space with few stairs to negotiate near one of the country clubs included in this town. Overall, a very nice space to share with family to join in our celebration - bringing together four generations for fun, food and fellowship.

Great place, great owner

This was such a great place for our vacation week. Even better than the pictures, especially the great vaulted ceilings throughout. Joel made our stay smooth and worry-free, very prompt with communication and answering questions....very personable, which I think is important. You can tell he wants to ensure your comfort and enjoyment. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again. A

We Keep Coming Back

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this town-home in St James. It's centrally located to everything, it's very spacious, the interior finishes are all very upscale and nice and the owners even text to make sure everything is perfect. One important feature for us is it's all on the ground level, so there's no lugging your suit cases up 2-3 flights of stairs, plus there's a patio in back to relax view a view of the fairway.
