Everything was perfect! Enjoyed an amazing beach day, wonderful dining, and awesome fishing! Was easy to reach all destinations and was very comfortable when relaxing on the property in the evening.

relaxing and beautiful stay!

The cottage is adorable, well-kept and in the perfect location! We used the dock and swam in Potters pond and walked to E Matunuck State beach regularly. Great restaurants also within walking distance! Would definitely rent again!

Perfect Place for Anniversary Trip

My wife and I were on our anniversary trip and this was the perfect place to stay. Nice quite town with places to eat within walking distance. Newport was also a short ride away. Highly recommend.

Great spot

The cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway for four..Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The beach is right down the street, and the restaurant across the water was great. The owner was very accommodating. We look forward to coming back.

Hidden Gem

Weekend getaway with my wife. Very clean with everything we needed. Location is fantastic. Host was very responsive. Three minute walk to Matunuck Oyster bar & Captain Jack's for great food and drinks. Great golf courses nearby.

Perfect vacation rental!

This is an absolutely great rental in South Kingstown, RI. The check in was easy and the property was exactly as depicted in the description and photos. One of our favorite restaurants is Matunuck Oyster Bar and it is directly across the water from this adorable cottage and easily accessible by a nice little stroll. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need if you want to prepare your meals. My husband and I loved this rental and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends!

Loved everything about it!

The Half Shell is an adorable little place right on the water. We enjoyed watching the boats and the oyster fishermen come in and out. The firepit and chairs were super comfortable and we sat there for hours. We had everything we needed and the host was super responsive. They did a great job with the furnishings and we were super comfortable. Go to the Matunuck Oyster Bar...the food was delicious and the views and atmosphere was fabulous. You won't regret reserving the Half Shell.

Fantastic RI weekend getaway. I drove in parked and never drove again until departure . Walkable to East Matunuck Beach. Walked to Captain Jack's for fantastic seafood. Great amenities comfort and is equipped for all you'll need. I'll definitely be back. Host is very responsive and very pleasant.

Perfect for a couple beach vacation

This one bedroom cottage is perfect for a couple! The kitchen has everything we needed. Short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the gas fire pit as we watched the sun set. Bed was very comfortable. Jane was very accommodating as she allowed us to check in early and offered late check out. We highly recommend this beautiful and comfortable cottage.

Great little cottage for a seaside weekend away

My partner and I booked the cottage for Labor Day weekend. We absolutely loved this place and plan to make it an annual summer booking. Jane and Sandra the owners are incredibly responsive and even let us know the cottage became available for a few additional days of we wanted to extend our stay. The cottage itself is exactly as described in the photos and listing. The dock is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or to people watch at the restaurant across the water. We enjoyed nights using the grill and fire pit and made friends with a few of our neighbors. You are a 5-10 minute drive down the road from the beach. The cottage has beach chairs, towels and an umbrella - just bring your snacks and you’re good to go! It was perfectly located near everything but not directly next to everything so you felt like it was your own hideaway. Thank you again!

An ideal place for a getaway. Beautifully appointed. Just across the bridge from the Matunuck Oyster Bar. PotterPond is a nice place to kayak . Friendly people all around in the village

A slice of Heaven

By far the best vacation spot I've been to in all of New England! I enjoyed relaxing on the pier, eating at local restaurants and walking to the beach! Will definitely be back next year!!! 😁

Outstanding!

We spent 3 great nights in this wonderful cottage and wished we had stayed longer. Beautifully decorated/furnished and sits directly on the water. It's just a short ride to the Block Island Ferry and an easy commute to the downtown Newport waterfront. Thanks for recommending the Matunuck Oster Bar right next door. Best meal we had during our 8 day New England vacation, should had made reservations for all 3 nights. Thanks for hosting us. Debbie & Mark

Relaxing Weekend

Had a great time relaxing on the dock and catching up with my BFF. The cottage is so clean and love the A/C unit. It is beautifully decorated and we loved everything about it. You supply everything! So quiet in the VPP. The Matunek Oyster Bar was delicious and for being across the dock and so close was surprisingly quiet. Cannot wait to rent again in the fall if available.

Sweet beach cabin

Great little cabin right on the canal in Matunuck. Little boats go by and fish right off the dock, very sweet. Definitely right in the shadow of the very popular (and tasty) Matunuck Oyster Bar, which is hopping 11am-11pm in the summer, just a warning. But we’re city people so used to a little ambient noise. Sandra is a great communicator and though the cabin is petite it has everything figured out.

I grew up in Nantucket and have managed a rental property there for 45 years. I recently bought this waterfront property for family gatherings to ease the regular travelling to the island and as a second rental property when I'm not using it myself.

I have friends nearby and have always enjoyed sitting on their deck watching all the activity on the canal. When this property became available I was not looking for another rental property but once I saw its potential, I decided I could not let it pass me by. It might be the only waterfront property I will ever own!
