Looking for a romantic weekend get away? Our Dream View Lake House boasts a one of a kind view of Shasta Lake in Northern California with amenities to fulfill every need. Sitting atop 140 acres of private land sits an oasis with abundant indoor/outdoor space and a built in hot tub overlooking Shasta Lake. Relaxation is limitless.

Please inquire about romantic packages as do house staging with chocolate, food or decoration. Be sure to talk to Lori about booking any additional services! We love being able to offer resort amenities.

We are located just a few minutes off of the I-5 freeway that spans California north to south. Isolated away from big cities Dream View is a perfect location to get away from it all . Relax and unwind without the noise pollution of the cities and enjoy the beautiful starlight from our amazing hot tub . There are private hiking trails, lake access and 30,000 acres of national forest right in your back yard.

We have WIFI through Shasta Beam! Some of the fastest speeds you can get on the lake so you can stay connected with work, school or watching movies while you come and enjoy our beautiful home!

Our guests health and safety is paramount at our Lake View Dream Home Location. We are following American Hotel & Lodging Association guidelines for cleaning between guests. These include cleaning surfaces used by guests with disinfectants, changing all linens, regular changing of air filtration and remote check in and out. We have a dedicated cleaning staff with over 8 years of experience just with our homes and will be taking extra steps to keep our private intimate home sanitized.

We proudly present to you our DreamView home with almost 17 years running and aprox. 400 - 5 star reviews. Come out for the best views, sleep and peace you'll get in your life. This home is beautifully maintained and owned by a master contractor with over 30 years of experience. All the parking you'll need for watercraft. Don't forget to ask about one of the many resort style amenities we offer such as home cooked meals, grocery delivery service, staging the home with food, decoration and much more.


For Security and Safety There are 2 ring cameras . 1 Faces the front porch the 2nd faces the side driveway. They record 24/7.


We are very dog friendly, as long as the owner is contacted and dog is pre-approved . There is a $175. Pet fee per dog.

Dreamview is exactly as Ken describes it - breathtaking, private and the perfect retreat. Sitting in the hot tub at night in the midst of the rolling clouds that made way for the starts was perfect!Communication, cleanliness and ease of directions as well as entry made our weekend getaway seamless.

Best view I’ve seen yet. We were able to see a deer roaming in the field. The property is well kept and the owner was very helpful. Definitely coming back.

Nice house. Best for a couple. Two bedrooms; downstairs had two beds, but a nice bathroom. We used upstairs room then went downstairs for shower. It had a great view of the lake and a nice deck. There were a lot of cleaning rules for the stay, which was interesting because there was a cleaning fee and a pet fee. It was a nice place though. Very Private. There is a pool table we used a lot. Didn’t use the hot tub because temperatures outside were 109 degrees.

Lovely Relaxed Stay

Our group of 4 was looking for a relaxed New Years stay and that is exactly what we got! The house was comfortable and private, and Ken was a very attentive host. I would definitely recommend this stay to a friend and would absolutely stay again!

Beautiful view

We loved our stay. The view of the mountains and lake were the best we've had of any other property that we've stayed at. The hot tub, pool table, Foosball, and corn hole toss were perfect to keep us entertained.

Very Good

Everything was very good. The views were awesome! The only thing I would suggest is more silverware and some carpet cleaning in the living room. The pet odor was pretty strong. We have pets so I know how that goes unfortunately. But, the house was amazing and will stay again in the future.

Perfect Thanksgiving!

I cannot put into words how breathtaking the views are from the back porch. Every morning and evening were made by watching the sunrise or set in the distance. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions of things to do in the local area. Overall would recommend this house to anyone for any occasion. Would LOVE to go back!!

Amazing!!

A gorgeous spot, well kept, very comfortable. Nicely stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Views are incredible! Pictures could not do it justice. Breakfast and dinner with the deers roaming. Ken and Lori are attentive.

Fantastic Mountain Getaway!

We had the most wonderful time as a family! Thank you so much Ken (and Lori!) for making it truly special. They went above and beyond to answer questions especially for a family with a small child, check in and out was smooth and easy, and even helped set up a birthday surprise for our arrival. The location is absolutely stunning - the view from the deck really outshines any photo you can take! Gorgeous site and wonderful hosts. Thank you again!

Thanksgiving Fun

We had a great stay at Ken and Ashley's home. The view is fantastic. The kitchen and living room are even better than the pictures. The owners were always available. Just the best!

This is by far the best place I've ever stayed. The view was incredible!! Everything was so clean and I really appreciated the check- in process. Ken and Lori were so pleasant to work with, they even gave me recommendations to do in the area. Coming from the city, it was amazing getting to see so many stars and being in the absolute silence out on the property. This is my favorite place to get away and I am excited to book again the next time I'm on vacation! Thank you again Ken and Lori for the amazing stay!

Our second stay at Dreamview

This place is as advertised. Great location and well appointed. The downstairs beds are very firm, which wasn't that comfortable for our group, but we were tired from the lake so it was fine-lol. The best feature of this property is the responsive owner/manager. They are really on top of it! Would go back for sure.

dreamy anniversary

My husband and I have been vrboing on our anniversary every spring in good fishing locations throughout northern California & southern Oregon. Our bar for scenic, private accommodation is pretty high & Dreamview is top notch! We were lucky enough to get a sunbathing day, a record setting bass fishing day, a massive thunderstorm day (amazing from this house!), a five movies in the robe couch day, and a double rainbow sunset!! Fully appointed, friendly hosts, convenience, luxury, world class view!

Very Nice Customized House and Great View

DreamView is just like the picture, very nice and tranquil. It's an adults only house. We have a big group with kids, and we rent both houses, so we put the grandparents in this house. I think they have a good time. Location of this house is very convenient for touring around. Cavern and Bridge Bay are all in 10 min driving distance.

Beautiful location

The property was gorgeous and the view from the deck was breathtaking. Living near a major city with all the light pollution that comes with it, I don't get to see the stars much. I loved laying out on the deck at night, looking at the shooting stars and the Milky Way. The beds were comfortable and the rain shower was a great way to wake up. The only complaint is the book full of rules that wasn't mentioned in the listing. There were a lot of rules.

Wonderfully Relaxing Getaway

I spent 6 days in Ken and Ashley's place during early October and had a great time. The views are unforgetabally beautiful. I took many great photos that allow me to escape back to that relaxing time. Ken and Ashley were so helpful in helping us plan our sightseeing adventures. There are so many "bucket-lisi" items that are literally just around the corner from this place we needed an extra week to be able to get to all the sites. Thanks so much to Ken and Ashley for all their hospitality. Looking forward to coming again soon.

Quiet & Relaxing!

Life has been non-stop for us & with work & kids & everything in-between it is hard to get a quiet moment alone & almost impossible to get an entire afternoon or evening, but we got just that & so much more during our recent visit & stay at the DreamView House. We highly recommend this spot if you are looking for something that you truly cannot get anywhere else. This place is one of a kind & has an incredibly amazing view & offers a peaceful tranquility that has to be experienced. We will 110% be booking again & looking forward to staying even longer next time! Ashley & Ken were great hosts & made us feel right at home!

Wow! What a great vacation!

My husband and I loved the Dream View. It was even prettier than the pictures. Everything you could need was there. Every room is beautiful and the views are spectacular and heavenly!! We enjoyed our stay and so appreciated the suggestions on places to see given us by Ken. He was so po!ite and friendly, we enjoyed our visit with him. We travel every year and always stay in a vacation home, and we can honestly say this has been the best one yet. Thank you Ken and Ashley for sharing your home with us and for being such gracious hosts. It was a soul renewing experience. We will be back again next year.

Unwind, Relax, Enjoy!

My lovely bride and I spent 2 nights at dream view. The views are spectacular, words can't describe, you have to go to see and enjoy! We got to watch the harvest moon along with the blood moon. That' s an amazing memory we will have. Watching the deer was a wonderful treat also! I asked Ashley and Ken to have roses delivered, my wife really enjoyed them! Thank you very much, she was surprised. All in all, it was a wonderful time. Thank you very much you have a wonderful place, we will be back.

Ken Tellstrom the owner of Shasta Lake Properties. Ken was born and raised in the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. Ken has been a general contractor for 30 years, taught a wakeboarding school called Xtreme Wakeboarding on Shasta Lake for 11 years, a builder & former pro world champion wakeboarder. Ken has been in the vacation rental business for 13 years. As a builder, he is very conscious to maintain the natural beauty of the surrounding forests and the ecosystem and is constantly trying to improve this aspect of the business.

Our privacy is unmatched with a locked gate entry to the homes and property for total privacy. Our views are what set us apart. We sit on the most spectacular arm of Shasta Lake, across from Lake Shasta Caverns on the McCloud Arm. Our property is super close to Blue Ribbon fishing spots in the McCloud, Sacramento or the Trinity Rivers.

Our double level decks are incredible and would be perfect not only to stay but to have a small elopement ceremony overlooking the sunset.
