This charming 3400 sq. ft. home is the perfect gathering place for families, wedding groups, and getaway weekends with friends. Located in a quiet country setting just 10 minutes from Mill Creek, the unique property is also 20 minutes from the charming town and wedding hub of Snohomish, and the tasteful delights of the Woodinville Wine Country. Every inch of this home was remodeled with comfort and beauty in mind to ensure your visit is relaxing and filled with joyful memories.

Our property SLEEPS up to 11 people, and also offers unparalleled LIVING space in the Mill Creek, Snohomish, Woodinville area. From the large gourmet kitchen and 10' island with 6 stools, large rustic dining table that seats 10, living room, basement bonus room, outdoor patio with BBQ, to the reading chairs in every bedroom, and comfy seating on the front porch; we offer the perfect combination of togetherness and personal space. Older guests will appreciate two of the four bedrooms and two of our three bathrooms are main level, and each bathroom has a walk-in shower. Younger guests will enjoy the toys, air hockey table, gaming system and board games. For travelers who need to "work from home", we offer 3 desk areas throughout the house, and speedy mesh wi-fi. You'll also find convenient Level-2 electric vehicle charging.

The tranquil setting is just 10 minutes away from city amenities, restaurants and services. Our country chic Cottage is truly the best of both worlds! We look forward to being your hosts!

EVERYTHING was perfect!! Connie was very communicative and organized. She met us at the property and even provided breakfast items for our first morning. Seriously, she thought of everything. Family Christmas

Perfect weekend!

Wonderful home to enjoy for the uolidays

Connie did an amazing job hosting us. She was there to answer any questions we had throughout the stay. The house was stocked with anything we could need. They have really thought of everything. Our kids loved it, the family loved it, even my husband who loves to cook was impressed by what the kitchen had to offer. They had a beautiful tree set up in the house for us knowing we would be celebrating the holidays there as a family. This house has become our gold standard for what a rental house should be. Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope we have the opportunity to stay there again.

Christmas in Bothell

The location was minutes from family, spacious, and peaceful. Loved the EV charger for our car, and the set up was wonderful for our family with adult children. Hosts are communicative and great to work with. Great space, we would book again.

Fantastic for a large family or group

We were a large family group staying in the area for a wedding, and Connie and Brick's place was ideal. The property itself is beautiful, better even than in the photos. Communication throughout was excellent. The kitchen is fab, loads of plates, dishes, cooking pots and serving dishes for a large group. It felt like a real home. Lots of spaces for the family to either get together, or hang out separately. Bedding, linens were great. My husband really appreciated the EV charging port. It felt like Connie and Brick had really thought about everything, from making the home seasonal with fresh flowers and pumpkin decorations to practcal items like providing coffee, seasonings, foil and clingfilm. We loved our stay, thanks so much.

Seattle family trip

Super friendly and accomodative host. This home is beautiful and the surroundings are picturesque and amazing. All the equipment in the house is very modern and clean, I have never seen such a large size refrigerator! The laundry room is like a conference hall! Very well decorated and tasteful choice of colours and themes

Perfect for our stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Starlight Cottage. It was perfect for our family time together. The home was very clean, cozy and comfortable with enough room to be all together or spread out in smaller groups. Connie was wonderful and responded to everything we needed and made our stay very special.

Great Getaway in the Woods

Family-friendly three story cottage far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to supplies and sites to both relax and tour. Working with the owners and other contact was smooth, efficient and courteous.

Perfect family gathering place.

Our family - 6 adults, 3 children - stayed at this lovely home for Christmas. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and spend family time together. The grandsons loved the “treehouse” room! We spent memorable evenings downstairs playing games and watching TV. The kitchen was perfect for cooking. Everything needed was there. And there was plenty of room for alone time as well. Connie was a great host.she seemed to think of every detail. She even decorated the house for us! It really was the perfect place for our family.

Everything went exceptionally well for 3 families that stayed here from out of town for a wedding. Connie was responsive, attentive, and super helpful and the space was perfect for us to all get together!

Outstanding wedding week

Connie is an excellent host! She had everything ready for our family to enjoy a relaxed wedding week and provided great recommendations to take our kids trick or treating while they were away from home. The property was clean and the check in/out process could not have been more convenient. Will stay here again if back anywhere in the Seattle area.

Daughters wedding

Connie and Rick were great. Connie was so accommodating with us during the check in process. The house was great. A great spot in the kitchen for the girls to do hair and makeup for the wedding. Thanks to Rick for saving me with my flat tire!!!

Fabulous Stay!

There were eight adults, a two yr old and a newborn. Connie was super helpful with the baby equipment and toddler toys she had available. The design of the house worked so well for this group, with a variety of sleeping schedules that allowed all of us to sleep soundly. The kitchen was incredibly equipped.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend here. The home is nicely decorated with lovely outside areas. The hosts thoughtfully provided food for our first breakfast. I'll definitely hope this home is available on my next visit to see family in the area.

Wonderful Family vacation

The property was very clean and comfortable for all in our group. We appreciated Connie’s thoughtfulnesses in having some breakfast options on hand for our first morning. And the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Our group ranged in age from 3 to 66. Plenty of room and activities for all. I have mobility issues so I really appreciated having some step in showers in the house, but the 3 year old still got to enjoy her nightly bubble bath! We also enjoyed the outside patio area and even made s’more’s one evening. Centrally located to the activities we had planned. Would definitely return again!!!

My husband Brick and I moved to Mill Creek in 1998 and really enjoy sharing the beautiful area with friends and family. In 2016 we remodeled a portion of the upstairs of our “barn” into our first VRBO property (#926649); it was a fun and challenging project. We paid attention to the details because we wanted to make it a place WE would love to stay. We had such a "barn" good time with our first short term rental property, in 2018 we opened a second, larger rental home across the street (#1431120).

We really love hosting, but do have a few other interests! My husband Brick is a software engineer. He completed restoration of his 1938 Chevy at the age of 21 and helped his father restore classic Dodges and raced them across the country 5 times in the Great American Race. Connie worked in high tech marketing for 12 years and ran an interior design business after having children. She is currently involved in running our nearby wedding venue and the day-to-day operations of our rentals. We are parents of two beautiful humans and on the weekend you might see us out and about watering or working in the yard (it is a big job!). We look forward to meeting you!

PLEASE NOTE: after listing our Rustic Chic Cottage in 2018 we made the fast track to achieve Premier Host status with VRBO. We have maintained this status and have 100% 5 Star ratings. In 2022 we opened a summer wedding venue nearby and reserved The Cottage for the bridal party and family to get ready in during events- which meant fewer bookings through VRBO. As a result, we did not meet the VRBO requirements for bookings in a 3-month period to maintain our Premier Host status. Please know that despite not meeting this numeric (and algorithmic) goal, we are still Premier Hosts at heart and will do everything possible to insure a comfortable and memorable stay.

We lived across the street from the beautiful but neglected Cottage property for 19 years, and decided it really needed to be loved. We purchased it in 2017 and spent 11 months renovating the home with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, windows, lawn, flooring, dormer, roof, paint etc. No surface remained untouched. We even drilled for a new water well! We want to make this property a place where people come together and make joyful memories.
