Everything went exceptionally well for 3 families that stayed here from out of town for a wedding. Connie was responsive, attentive, and super helpful and the space was perfect for us to all get together!

Perfect for our stay!
We enjoyed our stay at Starlight Cottage. It was perfect for our family time together. The home was very clean, cozy and comfortable with enough room to be all together or spread out in smaller groups. Connie was wonderful and responded to everything we needed and made our stay very special.

Perfect weekend!
Our group of 7 have stayed at Starlight Meadows about 6 times for a relazing weekend of scrapbooking. The house is perfect and Connie and Brick are wonwonderful hosts.

We had a wonderful stay. The home was cozy and well stocked with everything needed for cooking, cleaning, entertainment. Cannot say enough about Connie and her care of us while we stayed at the cottage. We will be back, and we highly recommend.

Family Christmas

Great Getaway in the Woods
Family-friendly three story cottage far enough away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to supplies and sites to both relax and tour. Working with the owners and other contact was smooth, efficient and courteous.

Great for a family vacation
Every tear we get together with our two sons and their families. This was the perfect place. Lots of room. Beautiful house. Lively location. Communication with Connie was excellent. All our questions were answered quickly. We absolutely recommend this location.

Christmas in Bothell
The location was minutes from family, spacious, and peaceful. Loved the EV charger for our car, and the set up was wonderful for our family with adult children. Hosts are communicative and great to work with. Great space, we would book again.

Just...WOW. The Starlight Cottage was the *perfect* place for our family gathering. Tons of space & places to enjoy each other (inside & out), a dreamy kitchen for cooking and socializing, and special thoughtful touches like a charging station at a bedside table. It was beautifully decorated and Connie & Brick were delighful hosts. Five stars from this family (can we give six?). We'll be back!

EVERYTHING was perfect!! Connie was very communicative and organized. She met us at the property and even provided breakfast items for our first morning. Seriously, she thought of everything.
Our stay couldn't have been better.

Everything we needed
Connie has thought of everything! She was most accommodating and only a text away with a quick answer to my questions. We had family over with our grandchildren and there is plenty of space and things for kids to do. Kitchen is extremely well stocked. Hope to stay again.

Seattle family trip
Super friendly and accomodative host.
This home is beautiful and the surroundings are picturesque and amazing.
All the equipment in the house is very modern and clean, I have never seen such a large size refrigerator!
The laundry room is like a conference hall!
Very well decorated and tasteful choice of colours and themes

Perfect vacation home for a group
The property and home are beautifully maintained. The house has everything you could possibly need and more. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us - 4 adults, 3 teens, 3 kids. Connie was fabulous about communicating and made us feel very welcome. She even had fresh flowers on the kitchen counter and table as well as provided breakfast for us our first day. Definitely recommend.

Outstanding!!
I booked this property as a home base to go visit wineries in the area. It was close to all of the wineries, Connie and Brick were amazing hosts, there was nothing missing, the attention to detail was amazing! The property is on acreage,so as a ranch owner we felt at home without a house right next door. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need, including an organized spice drawer. We will definitely return, all of our guests loved it, definitely a home away from home, cant say enough!

Perfect family gathering place.
Our family - 6 adults, 3 children - stayed at this lovely home for Christmas. It was cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed to relax and spend family time together. The grandsons loved the “treehouse” room! We spent memorable evenings downstairs playing games and watching TV. The kitchen was perfect for cooking. Everything needed was there. And there was plenty of room for alone time as well. Connie was a great host.she seemed to think of every detail. She even decorated the house for us! It really was the perfect place for our family.

Perfect!
I invited a group of women to visit for a week in the Seattle area. The location of this lovely home in Silver Firs/Bothell was a perfect choice for our get-together. The home was convenient to both I-5 and I-405 when we wanted to do sightseeing. We found the home very roomy, comfortable, and immaculate. Cooking in the well-equipped and superbly organized kitchen was a delight.
Brick and Connie are excellent hosts. They responded quickly to any questions and made the process of renting very easy.

Wonderful home to enjoy for the uolidays
Connie did an amazing job hosting us. She was there to answer any questions we had throughout the stay. The house was stocked with anything we could need. They have really thought of everything. Our kids loved it, the family loved it, even my husband who loves to cook was impressed by what the kitchen had to offer. They had a beautiful tree set up in the house for us knowing we would be celebrating the holidays there as a family. This house has become our gold standard for what a rental house should be. Thank you so much for hosting us, we hope we have the opportunity to stay there again.

My husband Brick and I moved to Mill Creek in 1998 and really enjoy sharing the beautiful area with friends and family. In 2016 we remodeled a portion of the upstairs of our “barn” into our first VRBO property (#926649); it was a fun and challenging project. We paid attention to the details because we wanted to make it a place WE would love to stay. We had such a "barn" good time with our first short term rental property, in 2018 we opened a second, larger rental home across the street (#1431120).
We really love hosting, but do have a few other interests! My husband Brick is a software engineer. He completed restoration of his 1938 Chevy at the age of 21 and helped his father restore classic Dodges and raced them across the country 5 times in the Great American Race. Connie worked in high tech marketing for 12 years and ran an interior design business after having children. She is currently involved in running our nearby wedding venue and the day-to-day operations of our rentals. We are parents of two beautiful humans and on the weekend you might see us out and about watering or working in the yard (it is a big job!). We look forward to meeting you!
PLEASE NOTE: after listing our Rustic Chic Cottage in 2018 we made the fast track to achieve Premier Host status with VRBO. We have maintained this status and have 100% 5 Star ratings. In 2022 we opened a summer wedding venue nearby and reserved The Cottage for the bridal party and family to get ready in during events- which meant fewer bookings through VRBO. As a result, we did not meet the VRBO requirements for bookings in a 3-month period to maintain our Premier Host status. Please know that despite not meeting this numeric (and algorithmic) goal, we are still Premier Hosts at heart and will do everything possible to insure a comfortable and memorable stay.

We lived across the street from the beautiful but neglected Cottage property for 19 years, and decided it really needed to be loved. We purchased it in 2017 and spent 11 months renovating the home with new electrical, plumbing, HVAC, windows, lawn, flooring, dormer, roof, paint etc. No surface remained untouched. We even drilled for a new water well! We want to make this property a place where people come together and make joyful memories.
