We invite you to spend some time in our charming one-bedroom barn apartment and let us spoil you with some down-home southern hospitality. Our location is the perfect setting for a getaway from busy-ness and noise. We are situated on 25 acres of rolling pasture and wooded areas framed in white fencing, all surrounded by the Cumberland Mountains. Motorcyclists, hikers, kayakers, or just dreamers in search of some solitude -- all are welcome here. Enjoy the surrounding state parks, scenic trails, waterfalls, etc., then come back "home" to peace and serenity, where green pastures and soft breezes beneath 100-year-old shade trees await you!

Great location but even better accommodations

Honestly I was a little apprehensive about the apartment but I was pleasantly surprised. It was great and my husband and I loved our stay there. We spent two nights and drove to several waterfalls. It was so nice to come home to that apartment after and just relax.

Tranquil spot

This place was perfect. The views are gorgeous and the accommodations are adorable. I wish we had more time to stay there and actually enjoy the place. The owners are absolutely wonderful and were very responsive. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in town.

Lonely sanctuary

The property is stunning, on expansive wooded acreage to walk/explore. This is no ordinary rental; this is where stress and anxiety melt away. The peaceful seclusion will bring you a sense of deep peace. The rental is adorable and well stocked with careful amenities to make you feel like home. I especially enjoyed the location. Close enough to town, retsaurants, stores, antiquing and hiking trails. I will m9st definitely be back!

Beautiful area

Enjoyed our quick trip to Sparta to see relative. This was a perfect spot to relax and visit family in the area. Joy was a gracious hostess. We will be back.

Nice place to rest our heads while discovering East TN

Beautiful property! We enjoyed our stay over the weekend, very clean, and comfortable. My husband was very pleased with a comfortable bed for once in a rental. Joy was a Joy! We would definitely book again!

Amazing Experience

Everything about this stay was spectacular. The property owners went above and beyond to accommodate our changes in arrival time and even had breakfast, snacks and candy waiting on us when we arrived. The property was even better than pictured! We will definitely be returning and even trying out some of their other properties.

Great place if your looking for some peace and quiet!

My wife and I really enjoyed the stay with our 2 dogs. There is plenty of room for your dogs to run even if you can’t leave them off leash. The property is fenced so you don’t have to worry. Would definitely stay again.

Great Getaway!

My husband and I enjoyed getting away from it all and were able to relax on this beautiful property. We brought our dogs with us and they had a blast with all of that outdoor space. Joy is a delight and we hope to return someday!

You Won't Want to Leave!

I usually respond within a day or two with a quick review of my stay experience, but with this property and our wonderful encounter with the owners, the words needed to be as perfect as possible to capture the depth of our appreciation. I rented the "Charming Country Getaway" as a stopping off point for my move to Tennessee and arrived after two long days of travel in a rental truck pulling my car. I was concerned about parking for the "big rig", but need not have worried because the owner, Joy, not only assured me via text that there was plenty of space, but guided me up the long driveway in the rain and helped with getting us in the perfect spot to unload. She was cheerful, welcoming and immediately helped us feel at home. The barn and stables are beautiful and the apartment was decorated with many colorful and thoughtful touches. The beauty of this location is breathtaking and spiritual, and my sister and I remarked over and over how refreshed we felt just sitting outside and watching the fog lift each morning on the mountain...we even saw turkeys, a deer with two fawns, and numerous colorful birds each day. Joy and David are wonderful hosts--we came as tired strangers but left renewed with special friends. We will definitely return!

A Cozy Getaway

I would definitely recommend this area because it is very peaceful and quiet. The property managers were very friendly . Everything was very clean and well- furnished. It actually felt like home, I definitely will come again !!

Beautiful and quiet

We really enjoyed our stay at the farm. The facilities were clean and we felt very safe. Loved our stay. The only thing that would have made it better is if the horses 🐎 had been there to see.

Mrs. Joy is a true southern belle. Extremely nice and very accommodating. The apartment was perfect and the property was beautiful. My dog loved running around in the fields and I forgot how cool lightning bugs were!! Will stay again.

Loved the farm life

We enjoyed the cozy, homey apartment, and we loved sitting outside watching the deer walk through the freshly cut field. It was a great, relaxing place to stay.

As a native Tennessean, I've seen just about all of this grand state, and when my husband and I saw this property, we knew it was a very special place -- definitely the most beautiful area I have seen! Not only beautiful, it is a restful place to retreat to and unwind. You can almost feel the rich history of this 1800s farm and surrounding countryside pulling you back in time!
