Rana Suite (Sleeps 2). Queen bed and Mayan decorations that make you feel you are right in the middle of Mexico while enjoying the luxuries of a relaxing vacation. The room opens to the pool, garden and BBQ area. It offers a private bathroom,AC, wifi, private lock, and private entrance, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. It is the perfect place to relax and within walking distance to the beach and great restaurants.

Only 4 total suites on the property.

La Hacienda provides a unique Mexican get-away, located one mile from downtown and the most popular beach, Playa Norte. Enjoy the luscious tropical garden and pool. Most people get around via bicycles, taxis or golf carts. The house is located at the beginning of the safe and charming neighborhood, Salina Chica, where you will find restaurants, tennis court, basketball court, and grocery stores with fresh fruits and vegetables, all within walking distance. You can catch a taxi right in front of the house to go downtown and to the beach. The house is very private, yet just a 5 minute taxi ride from downtown where you will find all the shops, restaurants, bars and live music.

We enjoyed the location, the property itself and the quick response times of Karen. She’s a great host… the best we’ve had in our many VRBO experiences. What you see online is exactly what you’ll get, it’s a great value. We thoroughly enjoyed our nine night stay.

This property was amazing. We loved the privacy, yet close proximity to all of the local and touristy places. The pool was so relaxing and nice to come home to after being at the beach all day. We will for sure be back sooner rather than later.

Great stay!

We stayed for a short weekend trip. The room was very cute and AC was nice and COLD!!! Great location and Karen greeted us with open arms. Can’t wait to go back and stay again.

The Perfect Bungalow

My stay at Karen’s home was nothing short of perfect. The space is so welcoming and clean and just really feels like home. The location is on a Main Street but once you’re through the gates, you’d have no idea. I could’ve spent a whole day just relaxing by her pool area! Karen was so helpful in providing suggestions for my time on the island and was so kind. You really can’t go wrong staying here!

Absolutely loved our stay! Place was clean, well maintained, and all around beautiful! Karen was very nice and gave us some recommendations on where to visit. We are coming back next year and will be booking with Karen again!

Great spot!

La Hacienda was a great spot for our 4 night stay on Isla. Playa Norte has a lot going on so getting a bit away was ideal. It’s a short bike ride and having free bikes to use was a huge bonus. The pool was clean and refreshing.

Adult getaway to Isla

La Hacienda by Karen was the cutest, quaintest, neatest little place. Nice little private pool and rooftop area to also lounge around at. Karen was very helpful and was a pleasure to stay with. Her place was centrally located as well. Would stay with at her place again and would recommend.

Comfortable Quiet Oasis

After spending a day at the beach its great to open the gate at this property and walk back to your room and enjoy the oasis of Karen’s pool area. Karen is always available if you have any questions about activities or restaurants etc. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and will be back to this property.

This place is awesome.

Karen was very kind and hospitable. She has bikes you can use to explore the island. She made sure we had everything we needed in the room and gave us some good suggestions for things to do in the area. I feel like for the price we got a great value and a memorable experience.

Great location for a local tour!

Perfect place for staying for a short or long trip. Local restaurants and beaches not too far away. Loved having the pool right outside my door! And having a bike to ride around, makes it much easier! Karen was super helpful and easy to catch up with when arriving. Overall, a great experience!

Quick getaway spot at a great rate

Nice 1 week vacation to Isla with family and friends. Nice little spot to spend some freshening up time and to crash for the nights. I Would have stayed longer but had a commitment in the states. Our friends stayed an extra few days with no problems! Thanks for the hospitality Karen. Keep those puppies safe!

Nine nights at La Hacienda

Very nice courtyard setting with pool. Room was moderate size with firm, comfortable bed. Central location was perfect for getting to both ends of the island. Host Karen Davis ensured we had everything needed for our stay and was readily available should assistance be needed. She was a conscientious host who provided many suggestions for restaurants, shopping, etc. Overall, felt her accommodations were a very good value in terms of location, amenities, and cost.

Enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our nine nights at Casa Hacienda. Karen and her pups were very welcoming. It was nice to drink our morning coffee by the pool. And wait for her girls to come say good morning. We were within walking distance of several places to eat. We took a taxi to town daily. And never had to wait long for one to come by. Karen’s place is simple, affordable and it met all our needs.

Isla oasis

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Karen's place in Isla Mujeres. We drank our room-made coffee in the mornings as we sat around the little swimming pool and caught up on our readings. Our host Karen was very helpful with suggestions about transportation to the island, restaurants, and other key island information. And she responded instantly to our questions. She had to be away for a family matter for most of our trip but her friend Molly made sure that we had everything we needed. And we enjoyed Karen's three dogs -- Bailey being our favourite.

Nice for a short stay

We stayed 2 nights in Isla and this B&B worked well for us. Nothing fancy, which is totally fine by us, but I felt it was pretty pricy for what you get. I didn't personally see Karen but she was kind and helpful though messages and accommodated our late- night check in which was very nice! Felt safe and quaint. Thank you!

Great place

La Hacienda is a great place to stay for a few days or like us 3 weeks. Karen is absolutely amazing. She will give you tons of pointers and is always there when you need somthing. A wonderful host. My only complaint is i didnt get to see her when we left. Will miss you, your 3 lovely dogs, and most important, making me feel at home. Margrit amd Doug.

I am Texas born and bred with Austin having been my home for the past 30 years. I grew up in a small town in East Texas where my family has a ranch. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University and St. Edwards University. I was a therapist for children in foster care, owner of grocery stores for low income women, and flipped houses. I've always been an entrepreneur and was excited about a new challenge.

My first remarkable visit to Isla Mujeres was 25 years ago and I fell in love with the magic of the Island of Women. Relaxation washed over me as I stepped onto the ferry transporting me to this Caribbean paradise. I knew immediately that one day this island, that is steeped in a rich Mexican culture, would become my home. After many years, research and visits, in November 2016, I discovered the perfect home in the colonia Salina Chica. I knew La Hacienda would make a lovely beautique hotel, offering serenity and privacy for my guests along with space for me and my 2 standard poodles to live. I fell in love as soon as I walked in the front door. The same feeling I had on the first ferry ride 25 years ago.

My wish is to share with you the beauty and tranquility of La Hacienda on Isla Mujeres. Please visit us soon.
