Cottage surrounded by trees and creek. All the peace and quiet that you can imagine. Great for game day, conferences or time away. Sit on the porches and watch nature. We are just 2 minutes from Broad Street/Atlanta Highway going through Athens.

Flying to Atlanta? Take Groome Airport Shuttle and take short Uber drive to our home (about 5 minutes).

Tailgating? Leave your car and take an Uber.

This cottage was perfect for our short visit to Athens. Just a short drive to downtown Athens and to UGA. It was nice to be "in the woods" and only a short drive to restaurants, shopping, etc...

This little cottage in the city was perfect for our stay while getting our son settled into his apartment for grad school. He needed to stay with us a couple nights until his furniture was all set up and having his own space in the lower level was fantastic! This clean, quiet, and comfortable cottage offered all the amenities of home in a beautiful, calming, wooded setting.

Nature bathing at its best

This cottage in the woods was nature bathing at its best. What a lovely spot! Easy to get to dining and shops and hidden away at the same time. Very peaceful. We spent a lot of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Living spaces were all comfortable and clean. The only glitch was difficulty figuring out the correct house address in the dark when we arrived. Otherwise highly recommend!

Excellent location

My wife and i stayed here for the weekend of GDay. Nice quiet location only a few miles from the stadium. Recommend this place to anyone. Will stay again if we ever come back in town.

Quiet secluded cozy weekend

Father / son stay and was perfect place. Surrounded by nature yet minutes away from UGA. Basement bunk bed was a bit loud but nothing of concern.

A Gem in the Woods

Charming, clean, and great location. We loved staying here and travel often to Athens and would love to book again. The location is very close to downtown yet it's tucked away in a woodsy beautiful setting and you feel far away from the city. Absolutely perfect.

Great place in Athens.

We loved to be able to be together to celebrate a birthday and be in the middle of the woods in the middle of town. The downstairs is dated but we had a good time.

Quiet home

The home was clean. It was nice that the home is secluded but in the midfle of everything Athens had to offer. It is an older home, but i liked that and really appeciated that there was an entire history of the cottage and the surrounding homes in the binder with checkout instructions.

Very cozy

The living room is lovely. Kitchen very well equipped Need a light in dining room. Porch needed pressure washing. Very beautiful out there. We’re all over 80. Wanted to visit and play games. A little trouble getting in and out. Not bad. Needed to know about downstairs bedroom. Very difficult. Bed leaves much to be desired downstairs. Upstairs fine. Lovely all in all. Close to everything. Beautiful setting. Thank you

Zero Communication From Host

I will preface this by saying I cannot speak to the cleanliness, accuracy of listing, or location because I never actually made it to the property. We had an emergency that made us unable to travel the day before we were supposed to arrive. I sent a message to the host through the app, texted her, called and left a message and got zero response. I knew that I was not going to get a refund on such short notice but it would have been nice if the host would have at least been bothered enough to respond to maybe work something out. If you book this place which seem very nice, do not expect a response if you have any questions at all before or during your stay. Not a good way to do business, so for that reason I would not recommend!

Its a Haven

Love this little oasis of serenity tucked away from the busy town. Everything we needed was there. Great shopping and restaurants within minutes.

Loved staying here! It is perfect, we loved that it was surrounded by trees but close enough that DoorDash delivered. My girls were so excited to see deer every day we were there.

Loved how close it was without feeling the chaos of Athens.

Lovely house. Enjoyed exploring in the woods/creeks while visiting our son at UGA. Very peaceful. Will be back to stay again.

Dog friendly

We booked here because the owner was so dog friendly. The house is in the woods hidden from everyone in Athens. I lived in Athens most of my life and had no idea the houses were back there. There was an opportunity to see huge deer and a few babies. The house was clean but did have a slight moldy smell, it’s in the woods, I expected that. There were damp rid bags hanging in multiple places that needed to be replaced. The owner was quick to respond to an issue we had. We’d stay here again in the future.

What a neat property. It was like staying in a rustic mountain cabin right in the middle of Athens. Beautiful, peaceful, quiet setting but in an incredibly convenient, central location. Our dog loved walking around the property and looking at the deer we saw. We highly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable, Cozy Cottage

This property was just right for our stay. Cozy, comfortable, well stocked, and clean. When you are there, you feel like you are out in the country, but it is actually very convenient to all Athens has to offer.

Great little getaway for a Fun Football Weekend

Brought my family to Athens for their 1st UGA football weekend. We live 3hrs away just outside of Chattanooga, TN ... imagine our surprise in arriving at a location that felt like home with all of the woods & quiet space surrounding this sweet little cabin! I had no idea this kind of tranquility existed just off of Atlanta Hwy! We were even greeted by 4 deer eating their dinner just outside our windows that 1st night! The entire space was super clean & fresh, & decorated well. We had no gnat problems other recent reviews mentioned. Probably had to do w/ the summer weather here in the South (IYKYK) vs. a true pest issue. Either way, no problem for us. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with the essentials like pots/pans, bakeware, dishes, etc. The bed & pillow in the main floor bedroom are super comfortable. The lower mattress on the bottom floor bunk bed is ... just ok. Would definitely suggest that bed for younger travelers! Water pressure in both bathrooms/showers is AMAZING! So excited to feel like we actually got clean after being out in the heat all day. Wifi was clear & strong once we were able to connect. There was a little difficulty there (the router had been unplugged & we didn't realize it), but Lynette was super responsive & helpful. Some furniture changes (sofa & a few other small things) have been made since these images were posted, so new pix might be in line. All outside lights need to be replaced. Other than that, a great weekend!
