Beautiful log home overlooking Henrys Lake and 13 Miles to West Yellowstone!

We are so excited to offer this large, beautifully decorated 4 bedroom (and an additional loft with queen bed) 4 bathroom full log home that accommodates 12 with room to spare. Completely stocked kitchen and game room supplied with playing cards, poker chips, board games, books, children's games and puzzles to entertain everyone.

Large wrap around decks with beautiful views in every direction. Outside there is a large wood campfire area for roasting s’mores. There is also a large back deck with bbq grill and two picnic tables to seat everyone.

The area can get hot in July/August and our home is among the 3% of vacation rentals in the area that offer air conditioning! Also, most area rental agreements require that you drop off all your trash at a landfill that is about a 1/2 hour drive each way, we do it for you as part of your rental! The home was completely renovated in early 2019.

Please read the 5 star reviews and do not hesitate to book this beautiful new cabin. Please also ask any questions as I (Nancy) am happy to answer them all. I am also happy to help plan your vacation in any way, just let me know how I can help!

*Brand new furnace, hot water heater, central vacuum, gas fireplace and, air conditioning (although you will rarely need it) with the cool mountain breeze blowing through the screened windows.

We are also located within walking distance to the new Henrys Lake dinner theater.

Great stay!

Home was a wonderful location for easy entrance to West Yellowstone. Home is older but charming. Enjoyed our stay with 4 grandchildren and their parents- 8 of us. Owner very responsive to questions and information about the area.

Amazing home and amazing hosts!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful log home. The owners are amazing, they were available to assist in every way to make our trip the very best possible. The attention to detail was everywhere. An incredibly spacious home, yet cozy and comfortable for the entire family. The location is excellent for spending the day in Yellowstone. I would highly recommend this wonderful place for a memorable Yellowstone vacation!!!

Cabin near Yellowstone

This property was absolutely what our group of 8 friends needed. After each day in the Park, we came “home” to a beautifully decorated cozy cabin with tons of space for all of us to spread out and enjoy ourselves. Our host Nancy was responsive to our questions and our every need was met…even down to a wine frig!!

Had an excellent week long stay. Cabin comfortably slept 7 adults and 2 children. Plenty of place to spread out and not be right on top of each other. 15 minutes from the west entrance to Yellowstone and close enough to Teton to make it a day trip. Would definitely stay again.

Yellowstone Summer Vacation

We had 3 generations with us on our Yellowstone vacation. The cabin was decorated to perfection and was well equipped with everything needed for a fun and relaxing extended vacation. The host’s were very accommodating and were able to give us some great ideas on things to do and places to see. The location made it simple to navigate all the must sees of both Island Park and Yellowstone. The cabin was great and provided a great experience for us all!

Sanora Vacation

The lodge is beautiful. Everything was spotless and everything you could need was provided. It is located very near Yellowstone National Park. Nancy is a great hostess. She is very accessible and knowledgeable. We would stay here anytime we are in the area.

Family trip made easy!

The home was very cleaned, well stocked, and communication with our host was great. We had two small children and the baby gates were set, high chair and toys available. The size of the home and quiet spaces were a hit for our family.

What an amazing home! Everything about it was picture perfect. We loved the abundance of space, the cozy and comfortable decor, and the view of the wide open spaces. We couldn’t have asked for more. Ideal location for West Yellowstone and all the activities in Island Park. Nancy and Rees are the best host! Cabin was stocked with everything you need. They left detailed list of recommended things to do and hit it out the park! Everything we did was recommended by them and it was absolutely great!

The house is very clean and well maintained. The kitchen includes most of cooking utensils other than rice cooker :-). Nancy responds our questions very quickly. Overall very positive experience and everyone enjoys the house. Thanks!!

Cozy Yellowstone getaway home!

Nancy's place is a wonderful hub for anyone looking to explore Yellowstone, Henry's Lake, or any of the surrounding scenery. And although it's a wonderful gateway home to the park, the house itself is worth the price of admission! The home has lots of thoughtful touches and amenities, from a game room, to kid-oriented books and toys, to an outdoor firepit. It's also great for large families, as the # of bedrooms and bathrooms ensures that everyone can have their own space. The view is even better in person than it is in the pictures--can't recommend this home enough!

AMAZING

Everyone in our party raved about how perfect this cabin was. The rooms were so comfortable, kitchen was well equipped for us ( we were on motorcycles ). I only wish we could’ve stayed a couple more nights. The host stayed in touch with us the whole time leading up to our stay regarding the flooding at Yellowstone and was very helpful. The ride from west Yellowstone to the cabin is about 12 mins and very easy. Recommend to everyone!!!!!

Feels like Home

Not only did Nancy make us feel like we were family right away, the home was just as it was pictured. It was decorated lovely and felt cozy and inviting. It was fully stocked with anything we needed, she thought of everything. Nancy provided us with information about the area and was available for any questions that we had. It was truly a blessing to stay in such an amazing home away from home. The home is also conveniently located to many adventures. We can’t wait for our next journey out west, we would gladly stay here again.

Great for families, 14 miles from west yellowstone

We were a group of 2 families with kids and grand parents and the cabin was equipped for all ages. Enjoyed the Spacious 4 bedrooms and clean attached bathrooms well stocked with towels and toiletries. Kitchen was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for cooking meals. Wifi was good throughout. The most stellar part for us was the stargazing from the wrap around deck, making smores around the firepit and the beautiful sunset view! 15 to 20 mins from West yellowstone entrance gate, there are no grocery stores or restaurants around the cabin, so remember to grab on your way back from West yellowstone.

Serenity at its best!

Let’s just say I can’t wait to go back. This was so relaxing, it accommodated my whole family comfortably. Everyone had there own space and bathroom which made getting ready easy to start our day. It’s really close to the Yellowstone entrance so getting into the park took no time at all. We found so much to do in this area wether to go to the park or hang out and do things locally. Nancy has everything you need there for a wonderful vacation and made it so welcoming. Highly recommend for your next vacation it doesn’t disappoint.

Beautiful home and great location

We loved the location. About 15-20 minutes outside of West Yellowstone (depending on traffic), with Henrys Lake State Park across the highway (hwy 20). The home itself is definitely not the standard rental. Very nice inside and out. Great deck (goes around the whole house, with excellent western/sunset view). The wooden cabin feel was great. The layout works well, with 3 bedrooms at ground floor (2 bathrooms), 1 bedroom second ("main" with kitchen, deck is on this level) floor (one bathroom), and the loft ("third" floor) has 1 bedroom (one bathroom). The host seem to be available whenever we called to asked questions and was very helpful. Everyone who stayed with us (for family reunion) had a great time and really liked the place. One thing to note is that the temperature in the house varies quite a bit depending on which floor you are on.; i.e., first floor is "cold" as all the cold air seems to just goes right down there, while second floor is just perfect, and loft can get hot, but with the windows and fans, you get good cross breeze. This is not a big deal because we spend most of our time on the "main" (2nd) floor, which is very comfortable, and you can easily regulate the temperature with either the air cond or just opening the windows to allow air flow. Overall, would definitely rent this place again if we are in the area. We highly recommend this place!

Excellent Stay

We stayed for 3 nights at this house. We had an amazing time. Nancy is a great host. The house was spacious. The children had an amazing time playing games. Nancy had left all the essential food supplies and amenities in the kitchen. We had a fun time eating on deck and star gazing at night. We did s'mores also. Nancy had left firewood by the side of the fireplace. Directions to the house were easy. We had no trouble finding the house. Check-in and check-out processes were smooth. I would give 3 suggestions. Please make the check-out time at 11 AM. I know that the house requires cleaning and preparation for the next guest but it would help if check-out time is extended by 1 hour, especially with large groups like us with young kids. Also, I would suggest having small utensils if food needs to be cooked for 1-2 people only. We had plenty of large utensils but sometimes only 1-2 people wanted to eat and large utensils had to be used for cooking for 1-2 people. Also, please provide a rice cooker if possible. Otherwise, the house was perfect. We would stay again and would recommend it.

Great place to stay!

The home was spacious and well designed. Looked exactly like the pictures online. Large windows allowed for viewing of the beautiful snow topped mountains. There were 3 living areas so that everyone was comfortable in the evenings, either watching TV, playing games or reading. It accommodated all 11 of us perfectly. The game room was a hit with the two 12 year old girls. Quiet neighborhood. The owner catered a dinner for us that was so good that we asked for all of the recipes. The outdoor fire pit was great for making smores. The home was located within easy travel distance to Yellowstone National Park (less than 15 minutes). There was adequate parking for several cars. & a covered entry area for when it was raining. I would definitely rent this home if I were ever in Idaho again. We had a great trip and wonderful memories from Yellowstone National Park, the Grizzly & wolf sanctuary, rock climbing & whitewater rafting at Geyser Whitewater in Big Sky, & shopping in West Yellowstone.

Perfect house, perfect location

We stayed at this beautiful home for one too-short week in August 2021. All 3 generations of our family (ages 14-82) all found the house perfect, with comfortable, large gathering areas inside and out, just right for meals, evening games and campfire fun. The house has everything you will need to be comfortable and then some. Our 3 families vacation together every summer and this is the first house we have stayed in where nobody complained about the mattresses they had to sleep on! :) Truly the accommodation was perfect and the location so close to the west yellowstone entrance was priceless. We were able to be at the entrance early each morning because of our proximity, and so never once waited in line to enter Yellowstone. A huge win!! Yellowstone itself is spectacular beyond imagining and outside of the park you'll just find more state and national parks- the land is stunning everywhere you look and so worth the trip if you love the outdoors, nature, hiking, etc. For a place so seemingly overhyped to actually exceed our expectations is really saying something. The owner, Nancy, is wonderful- we reached out to her on a few occasions with questions and she was responsive and friendly every time- just happy to help and ensure her guests enjoy their stay. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer. But we will be back!!

We bought our first cabin on Henrys Lake in 2014 and have been working hard ever since to create unique and comfortable property's to share with visitors from around the world. Rees owns his own commercial hardwood flooring company and I have been buying/renovating and decorating homes for the past 20 years. SaNora Lodge is beautiful, undergoing a complete renovation from September 2018 to May of 2019 and most recently an additional dining room/family room addition in 2025. Named for the two sweetest grand babies to every come to earth.... Sam and Nora.

Rees always teases (complains and grumbles) that "It's never done"... I always say "that's not true" but when this bank owned log home came on the market and just needed a lot of love, I knew "It's never done" was happening one more time. One more labor of love and we are so excited to share this one with you.
