Green Cottage is a substantial grade II listed cottage in one of the most sought after villages in the Cotswolds. Built in the 1600's as two labourers cottages, Green Cottage has been frequently extended in the 20th century to keep it upto date with modern living standards. The existing owners' contribution includes a stylish CP Hart bathroom and installing the Cotswold born 'Everhot' range cooker in the kitchen. The property makes a perfect base for exploring the key towns and villages of the Cotswolds, or walking its hills and valleys. For celebration dinners or otherwise, the well known landmark, the Lamb Inn is within a stones throw of the cottage. For those wanting to enjoy alfresco dining amidst the delights of an English country garden, Green Cottage has a wonderful terrace on the edge of the Windrush Valley. If the days are cold and wet, go indoors, bake on the Everhot, enjoy a roaring fire in the lounge or toss a log on to the wood burner in the dining room. For the children there is plenty of space in the garden (and the house) for them to run around and indoors there is a full size bar football table and plenty of games. The accommodation provides a great degree of flexibility. 3 bedrooms comprise of a family room and ensuite (sleeping up to 5); a twin room; a single room; a sofa bed in the sunroom and a camp bed that can be placed pretty much anywhere! It therefore comfortably sleeps up to 5-8.

Green Cottage is steeped in history. The original bread oven is still to be seen in the dining room. In 1914, Green Cottage was occupied by the Soul Family. Mrs Soul sent 5 sons to the First World War. It is said that Mrs Soul lit a candle each night in one window to guide her boys back but none ever returned. In the kitchen we have an Everhot range cooker. Manufactured not far from Gloucester, this state of the art cooker provides a constant heat source together with three ovens, an induction hob as well as hotplates. It's perfect for hosting large families or for those wanting to try out new cooking experiences. In addition, in the large garden to help energetic children (and Dads) run off their energy and develop silky football skills, a Samba 12ft x 6ft goal has been set up...so don't forget your football!
