Nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains is a tropical oasis awaiting your arrival. Why spend hours flying to Hawaii when you can enjoy tropical South Seas ambiance in Pasadena. Located in Historic Highlands, a quiet Pasadena residential neighborhood two miles north of downtown Pasadena, this studio/loft has lots of charm and character. The neighborhood is great for walking with beautiful tree lined streets. The rental comes complete with exclusive use of outdoor dining area, swimming pool (unheated), fire ring, and heated spa.

Pasadena, located 9 miles north of downtown Los Angeles, is a vibrant city, rich in history and culture, and home to the world famous New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses. Average year round temperature is 76 F daytime to 54 F nighttime. You are minutes away from many sports and recreation areas, and 30 to 60 minutes from all the major Los Angeles attractions. The house was beautiful and it definitely felt like you were actually in Hawaii. The outside pool area was also relaxing and beautiful.We had a great time. We stayed six days and it definitely went by two quickly.

This is a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed for 12 days over Christmas 2025. It’s a cottage behind the main house with a large room and a loft. The main room has a queen size bed, kitchen and bathroom. The house is in a nice residential neighborhood which was ideal to walk my dog. Lots of good food options a very short drive from the house.

Unique and fun property in a quiet neighborhood. We especially enjoyed the large and comfortable outdoor space including pool and hot tub. The unit was well stocked with everything needed for our three day stay.

This is beautiful rental in a very quiet beautiful neighborhood here in Pasadena..Extremely comfortable and all the amenities you could shake a stick at..Jama is a very nice host and totally respectful of your privacy..

Our stay at Polynesian Paradise was amazing! Four of us flew over from Vancouver for an extended weekend stay for the Oasis concert. It was a short Uber to the grounds and after the show we ended up walking back… wasn’t too bad of a walk, took about an hour. Lots of good restaurants a short drive away.The pool and outdoor area is amazing! And we all enjoyed the detailed decor inside. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely book again if we return to LA/Pasadena area in the future :)

Close enough to the Rose Bowl

I enjoyed our stay here. I loved the pool and seating around it. Inside was nice. Lots of tiki souvenirs. I loved the location a lot. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood. We went to the Cruel world festival at the Rose bowl. It took us just 15 minutes to drive back ! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Super relaxing stay

We spent a few very busy days in LA county sightseeing and college touring so it was perfect to return to this property in the afternoon to relax and recharge. It’s very close to 210 freeway yet it’s so quiet!

vacation in paradise!

We came to visit our grandchildren and wanted a place for them to enjoy a pool. It was the perfect place. The outdoor area was beautiful, well taken care of, had hot tub, great dining area and fire pit. The pictures don’t do it justice. The guest house was so cozy. Jama , our host was so quick to respond and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! What a treat. we will be back!

My family LOVED our stay! We were in town visiting my son at college and The Polynesian Paradise was the perfect oasis for my family to reconnect. The VRBO is SO beautiful and the location is perfect. It's everything one can need and more.

Great Place

Great stay. We spent the week in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl parade and football game. Having this pool house to come back to each day made the trip that much better. The host was extremely responsive and friendly. My kids loved the hot tub and my wife loved the fireplace in the house. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

This place is a unique gem!

Stayed at the Polynesian Paradise with my family on a trip to the LA area. It’s a great location to be able to explore Pasadena and LA, but then have a quiet place to escape to and relax after a busy day. Plenty of room for the 4 of us and our boys really loved having their own space up in the loft. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Paradise

This is our family’s second time staying here and it was wonderful! The location is perfect. The property itself is a wonderful oasis. Jama was easy contact when we had questions. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
