Peaceful River Hideaway

Peaceful River Hideaway is located on Elk River with year around water. This 3 bedroom 1 bath home has over 160 feet of level river frontage. Beautiful river veiws from the great room and two of the bedrooms. The king size bed in the master bedroom is a Select Comfort Sleep Number mattress. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, and the third bedroom has a twin bed. There is 2 canoes, 2 kayaks and paddle boat for your enjoyment. A peaceful retreat to unplug from it all. There is a 50 inch tv with VCR and DVD player in the great room. There is a large gas grill for your use. This is a smoke free and pet free home. We have just put in new flooring throughout the whole house, new sliding glass doors, painted the bedrooms and bathroom and the bathroom has been totally redone with glass shower and all updates.

Loved this place

This place was excellent! The views were perfect it was well stocked and clean. The property was everything we wanted for a weekend on the river. I would highly recommend this place if you want a peaceful and fun experience. I would definitely be coming back.

Great quiet get away.

The location is wonderful and the neighborhood is peaceful. I don’t have any complaints about our stay. Everything was great and fishing off the dock was pretty good too.

Peaceful getaway

This place has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Beds are super comfy and the house is perfectly situated to see the sunset over the water.

Peaceful Getaway

My husband and I enjoyed our quite and relaxing weekend. The house was cute and very clean. The owner was super helpful with any questions we had. We would definitely stay there again.

Secluded and quiet!!

Great place that’s nestled deep in the woods on the water. Clean, well equipped in kitchen supplies, comfortable beds and overall peaceful location. I recommend and will return in the near future.

Peaceful and fun

Peaceful and felt secluded even though nice and helpful neighbors. Birds, fish, fire pit, exploring the river in canoes, views of the river and sunset were our favorite highlights. Wonderful host!

Amazing place!

Can’t wait to go back! Such a sweet little place. Porch sitting and enjoying the priceless view was our favorite! We also enjoyed lots of fishing from the pier! Caught several catfish, brim and bass!

Quiet and Relaxing

We enjoyed Trudy’s house so much! We took advantage of the canoe and did some paddling and fishing. We needed a few days to relax, and this was the perfect place. Thanks for sharing your cabin.

Perfect river getaway

We were two couples looking for a place on the river for a relaxing retreat, and we found it. Absolutely perfect getaway. We canoed during the day and watched the sunset on the deck in the evening. Our host was very gracious and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great , quiet location with views.

Everything was great except for the spider webs outside. Great view of the river. Quiet and peaceful. Enjoyed watching the squirrels play. Also had visits by deer and crane. Great fishing also.

Elk River oasis

Stayed here for the second time for our annual Elk River fishing trip. This was our 34th straight fishing trip. The lakehouse is the perfect place to stay for fishing the Elk. Owners are very nice and easy to get in touch with. Kris

Stargazing & More

Wonderful views, lots of deer and birds. House was cute, too! Picked this location after viewing several others for stargazing with telescope. Host was exceptionally accommodating and even called to make sure it was perfect. Will be staying again and highly recommend for anyone looking to get away from it all (even if it's just light pollution)!

The owner met us when we got there & we had such a wonderful visit. The pictures were great; that is exactly how nice it is! Nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of wildlife for entertainment! We loved fishing on the dock; even though TVA lower the level of the river. Would definitely stay again if ever in that area in our future travels.

Coming from up north in January to Sweet Home to fish

Once again my stay here was absolutely a great experience it was so so peaceful just like before no busy traffic , loud noise , or loud neighbors at the motel like my buddies were experiencing in town but yet this little slice of heaven in not to far out where you can go get what you need . Thank you Trudy for welcoming us in again we really love staying there when we come to Alabama.

Peaceful Stay

Very peaceful location, beautiful view of the river from the cottage. Spent quite a bit of time reading and just enjoying the view from the rocker in the living room. The bathroom has recently been remodeled, a couple of hooks for hanging towels would be a nice addition. The cottage is very clean, you can tell that the owners take a lot of care. Perfect for our group of 3.

A hidden gem

This property by far exceeded my expectations! My daughter was looking for a “summer camp” feel for her birthday and she actually found this listing. Every parent who dropped off their teen asked for a link to the property. The cabin has wonderful views, back porch is great for entertaining, and the boats included were the cherry on top. Such a relaxing home away from home.

We can’t say enough about this place!! The pictures don’t do justice. It was very clean, inviting. The property was nice. Good fishing, lots of wild life to watch and the back porch over looking the water was nice to relax after fishing. We loved the 2 sliding doors that open. Loved listen to the pouring rain in the dark. You won’t be disappointed if you choose this beautiful place. We been to a bunch of places and we think this one has been the best!!!
