River/Lakeside home with the perfect vibe for people who need to chill! 3 formal bedrooms, additional 1 futon, 2 bath, large open area living space with open kitchen and dining area and beautiful screened-in dining area as a back porch. The views are UNREAL! Gas fireplace for cooler nights. For you chefs there are XL green egg, outside gas griddle 36 in., and all the normal kitchen amenities. Riverside doc, boat ramp for smaller craft, and a mile from a free boat launch. Decks galore for your chilling pleasure. Surrounded by nature and an unbelievable bird and wildlife population. Opposite shore is TVA owned and sparsely populated on a 64,000 hechtacre Lake Wheeler. World class bass fishing. Excellent ski and recreational boating. Kayak and stand up paddle board on site. Adjacent property to the west is unbuilt and is a haven for incredible bird population. Wifi and Smart TVs available, but we know you don't care about those. Excellent place to gather yourself, recharge, write music, or a launch pad for Huntsville, Athens, Florence and Muscle Shoals attractions. We'd love to share this with right minded folks seeking peace and tranquility. This is a very clean and nice house and incredible location. Excellent beds. It is surrounded by wild things, so if wild things and nature bothers you, this might not be the right location for you.

Just what we needed for a quiet relaxing getaway. Home is very comfortable. Great waking up to a lake view no matter what the weather conditions. Scattered rain showers obscured our sunsets during our stay; but, the few sunsets we did see were beautiful. Our host was very responsive.

Everything you need for cooking is supplied. We were catching 20 to 40 pound catfish right off the dock. Would definitely stay here again.

The most beautiful property and well kept. The lake view is unbelievable and gorgeous early in the morning. Host is quick to answer questions and extremely accommodating. If you’re looking for a lake rental, this is the one!!!

This property is a hidden gem! Off the busy trek, nice and quiet area. The view and sunsets are beautiful!

So peaceful and cozy. We like to cook and Matthew had everything we needed. Loved the grill. Matthew is very responsive; great host. Just the getaway we needed!

Great place

Great place to have a relaxing getaway. Was nice being able to sit out on the dock and fish. Loved the ping pong table. Great table to play cards on! Host was easy to communicate with!

The house was clean and well furnished. Very reasonable rate and the sunsets were amazing! We plan to stay again and explore the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge. Carter was quick to respond when there was an issue with the keys.

Amazing stay!

I was in the area for an extended business trip and wanted a relaxing place to lay my head after long days at work. This place was exactly what I was looking for and more. The owners are great to work with and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely Weekend Retreat

Our family stayed for an extended weekend together. The accommodations were spacious and the screen porch was a great place to enjoy the lake views. The beautiful sunsets each evening were magnificent! It was our home away from home, and we can’t wait to come back.

Great Spot for a Lake Getaway

This house has plenty of room! It's on a quiet spot on the lake, only 20 minutes from lots of restaurants in Athens. The view from the deck, the screened-in patio, and the kitchen are wonderful. We would definitely stay here again!

Secluded, roomy, on river, had everything needed. Paradise Cove Rd not busy good for walking the dog.One of the downstairs beds was a queen just plan accordingly if you bring your own sheets

Great view for relaxing

We really enjoyed our stay. The back porch was our favorite spot to watch birds (take some bird feed to put on rail for good view). Beds were comfortable. Quiet area. Plan to go back in future

Work stay

Very close to work, very large house right on the water, and the owner was extremely accommodating with anything I may have needed. I would highly recommend this property.

The house is very nice, very comfortable, and built for relaxation from top to bottom. Our home is full of good vibes and surrounded by God's beautiful creation. It is an exceptional bird watching destination with all manner of songbirds, waterfowl, birds of prey including bald eagles and osprey. The river and view is unbelievable and the sunsets cannot be beaten. If you need a place to unwind, pick your guitar, read or write, this is your destination. We have all manner of things to do from kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, skiing and watersports. It is very quiet and isolated from the hustle and bustle of the city but not to far to enjoy entertainment and attractions in Florence, Muscle Shoals, Athens, or Huntsville
