Quite small but ok for 2 adults. Stairs we found steep and creaky. TV kept turning itself on in the night! Great location right on riverside at Wroxham Bridge. fishing waste of time though - no fish! Went to Coltishall Green to fish - lovely and peaceful and plenty of fish! Good pub Kings Head in Wroxham. Parking ok and secure. Could do with a better step up to front door for older folks. Wine glasses had been put in cupboard unwashed! Great cyle ride Bure Valley Path and much cheaper boat hire at Richardsons 6 miles away (half price of rip off Wroxham!) Overall we had a great break - a good deal, thanks Jeremy

Property is not big enough for 4 people to be comfortable as there were 3 in our party and found it cramped. Dining table underneath the stairs with 3 chairs. Lots of dog hairs in the living room so the property had not be cleaned properly and I am allergic to. Husband sat outside and heard some cleaners saying that was the fastest they had cleaned a property in under 15 minutes !! No wardrobe space. Parking space okay but not directly outside the cottage. Quite a walk into the centre of Wroxham. Shared garden, not ideal to leave fishing tackle outside overnight. On a positive the location is beautiful .

Pet hairs on most of the floors we had to sweep the sitting room floor. When I got changed to go out in the evening I used the back bedroom to put on a pair of black trousers and they got covered in Pet hairs. I have to say that we don't have any pets if this issue was put right it would have been a nice stay. I did contact the owner to raise this issue.

Lovely location, even with boat traffic and wildlife outside the doors the it was a peaceful and relaxing stay. Property was clean and tidy with has all the necessary required for a weeks holiday.Short walk into Wroxham for a full compliment of amenities.

Great location with nice views from the private garden to watch the world go byeThe cottage itself is nice but could do with some updating and maintenance The bathroom is looking tied and the shower is really not fit for purpose and a very small bath and found it difficult because of the eves in roof space being 6 foot tallThe property was fairly clean although things like tops of light shade fittings and curtains are full of dust and cobwebs. Hob extractor glass hasn’t been cleaned in a long Time. The taps in the kitchen and upstairs all need replacing This needs to be addressed

Centrally placed compact house which is fine for two people. It was very clean with plenty of towels and good bed linen. The WiFi worked well. There was a lot of kitchen equipment but no instructions how to use it.There is a Tassimo coffee machine but no pods supplied so take some with you.It would help if the property description included details of what equipment was available and what is provided on arrival. We had to go straight out to buy soap as none was provided.

Good location, but disappointed by the cleanliness. The cottage needs a deep clean. It was reasonably clean on some surfaces, but the hand rail on the stairs was very unhygienic. The anti bac cloth I used to clean it showed how dirty it was. The kitchen tap needs attention as it makes a loud noise when turned on slowly.The towels were clean.

Lovely cottage, perfect for our family of 3 and dog..great value for money, right next to the water, with access to pub, takeaways, shops etc..rooms were clean, bed was a little uncomfortable but overall brilliant - we would come back again

An enjoyable short stay. The property was clean and welcoming with an exceptionally well equipped kitchen! Our two dogs loved the place and enjoyed making friends with the local wildlife including 'Harry the heron' as we called him. The ever changing scenery would only get better as the season moves on and the passing of everything from the impressive 'Broadsman' fake paddle steamer to the one man little boats.The cottage is equipped for four but would be a bit cosy for four adults.My only minor criticism is not the look of the sofa which others have commented on but it has seen better days and is very soft with no support.I would happily book Star Cottage again without hesitation.

Kitchen was well stocked with equipment, air fryer was a bonus. It was pet friendly. Great location. The beds were uncomfortable and it was cold downstairs. It was an ok stay but we wouldn't go there again due to the beds. The sofa has had its day and needs to be replaced. Overall the place needs decorating as its tired. The shower was possibly the worst experience. Luckily we're not tall as its in the eves and the shower unit itself needs replacing. Bath panel was cracked. I just think for the money they charge in the height of summer it could do with some money spending on it to bring it up to a good level. As I mentioned great location and lovely outlook onto the river.

The host of this property is most obliging and the cottage is in a convenient and beautiful spot. Parking was very close but only for one car if you have more you have to pay elsewhere. Well equipped although the WiFi was very flaky and only basic freeview tv’s plus the bed was a little hard for us. I also feel the cottage would definitely benefit from a bit of redecoration and furniture declutter downstairs. But that aside we really enjoyed our stay and all amenities are on the doorstep within walking distance.

Excellent location for pubs, boat hire,takeout,supermarket. The property was clean and tidy did not smell of dogs, a little outdated sofa/chair has seen better days but having said that the bed was comfy and we enjoyed our stay overall.

Great location on the banks of the river, lovely and relaxing watching the boats go by. Smooth check in and swift communication with the owner via email regarding any questions before we arrived. It is cosy for 4 adults but as the weather was so good we weren’t inside that much, kitchen facilities were good and thank you for the welcome pack of tea, coffee, biscuits and washing up items. It would have been handy to have a clothes airer to dry wet clothes after our days out. WiFi was a touch temperamental and sometimes unusable but we were warned beforehand that it wasn’t the fastest/best but we were on holiday so not that much of an issue to us. The only real issue was one of the single bed mattresses that was obviously old as the springs were felt whatever position you tried to sleep in, we even turned it over to see if that was better!

Brilliant location but lacks cleanliness

I did contact the owner of the property before posting thos review but hes not replied. We had multiple problems with the house. Tap in kitchen very noisy and banging No oven gloves in the kitchen Dressing table mirror screwed down in the middle but stool to the left no space to sit in front of the mirror. Shower curtain doesn't go all the way around the bath surround menaing water goes everywhere Extractor factor in the kitchen - doesn't work/ not connected Black Marks on the wallpaper in the bedroom and lounge- family members refused to sleep in that bed theh were that bad. No welcome pack of instructions - where are the bins? How to work the radiators as it doesnt have central heating. No batteries in the tv remotes Really could do with a grab handle to help people get out of the shower/bath Loose floor tiles in the bathroom in front of the toilet Taps in the bathroom are full of limescale No light in the fridge Freezer box all frozen up we could hardly open it to use Shocking mattresses in single bedroom, springs poking through Lamp in single room doesn't work After flushing the toilet water runs for ages Problems with the toaster,can't unplug it, loose wire, works sometimes and other times not Sewerage smell from the drain outside the front door

Only a week.

Absolutely brilliant location opposite Hotel Wroxham. However, property lacked suitable outdoor furniture as it comprised only four metal chairs and a metal table. No umbrella,which was vital for the week in question. Property was reasonably kitted out but we were fed up with banging our head on the numerous low ceilings. Notwithstanding the above, we had an enjoyable week.

Star cottage

Lovely little cottage,good views of river bure , the only thing wasn’t too good was the cottage needs up dating,wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, dirt all round the taps , and bath, beds very old ,but still enjoyed our stay.

A GOOD PROPERTY IN A GREAT LOCATION

WE LIKED EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE SHOWER ARRANGEMENT WHICH WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO ACCESS FOR A SENIOR COUPLE WITH MOBILITY PROBLEMS.
