Centrally located between Homosassa (4 Minutes ) Crystal River (5 Minutes) . Large area for boat storage . The house is NEW tile floor thru out . Each bedroom contains a Queen bed with Cable TV . Wireless Internet dedicated to Home . SHOWER Stall and water closet . Dining area and living room . Coffee/Toast/ Micro full size fridge / . Great for Dogs . We have a large yard in back to enjoy . Trails to explore . . Also walk to Nice BBQ same distance . Scalloping and Fishing are super Hot in the summer . We have a list of Local Captains that will gladly host your family and friends . Manatees can be found in the summer months , winter is the best time and the colder the better . SUNSET RIVER CRUISE with Our friends

Great Weekend Getaway

Me and my girlfriend made a quick weekend get away to visit the area. We were able to use the kayaks on property saving us almost half of what we paid for the house just in kayak rentals for one day. The house was not the ritz Carlton by any means but it was definitely clean and cozy. The back yard was big and well manicured my pup loved it. We also used the fire pit in the back yard at night and it was lovely

Private, quiet, great location

We stayed for a month with our dog, and it was a great visit. It wasn’t one of those fancy places where you are afraid to touch anything. It felt like a real home where we could settle in.The owners were responsive and relaxed and gave us our privacy. Our only concern was that the backyard fence had openings that need to be fixed, so we had to watch our dog every time she went out to make sure she didn’t slip through a gap.

Thanksgiving getaway

I went to Florida to spend time with my mom for the holiday. She lives in the area. Marie was very helpful with everything that was needed. I would definitely stay again. Quiet area and nice property.

Pet Paradise !

Kurt and Marie great hosts, was searching for 3 dogs allowed, secure private fenced back yard was great for them to run free and sniff etc. Beds and bath were very good, large comfy couch/sleeper. Nice small firepit, bring some firelogs and your bluetooth speaker for wonderful ambiance! Quiet safe street,easy on off 19/98. Very clean, well supplied. If you are traveling with dogs, you can not top this stay!

It was a very quiet and somewhat secluded spot, with little noise. It has a large backyard for my dogs to run (I think they thought they were at a resort). Though it was during hurricane Milton, we felt safe and sound. I would come back again and again if I have to leave the Tampa area again.

Clean small house with great yard for dogs

Just what we needed for our trip to Homassa/Crystal River. Centrally located right off of 19. Quick trip to both springs for paddling and boats for scalloping. Dogs loved the yard. House is old Florida but very clean, comfortable well appointed. Very Quiet and private location.

Homosassa Hippo House

Located in a more commercial area but quiet and close to restaurants, grocery, bike trail, and Homosassa Springs. Host was very friendly and accommodating. Back yard was large, fenced, and private, great to relax in.

Cute house near the manatees

We were only there a short time but the house was exactly what we needed. Fenced yard for the dog was helpful as well.

We enjoyed our week at this property! Great locations, the yard was a huge plus for our fur babies. The hosts were great and readily available if we needed anything. Thank you for not having any breed restrictions either. We would definitely stay there again.

Mini xmas vaca

We had friends come with their family from Wi so we thought we would rent a home to be closer to them. House is close to downtown and a lot of places to drop for kayaking. Felt secluded, which we loved.

Love, love, love the Hippo House!

Located on a quiet dead end street, I never even saw a neighbor, is the Hippo House. Cute, exactly as described, inside is spacious and clean, the backyard is huge! I brought my dog and she absolutely loved it!!!!!! I would definitely stay here again. Communication was wonderful!!! It's located between Crystal River and Homosassa Springs, there are several supermarkets, gas stations and restaurants within a few minutes drive. You're also only minutes away from several Springs. Great location!!! Private but still close to anything you need!
