Welcome to Bear River Vineyards! Housed within our winery is a well appointed guest room, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing experience. It includes a queen bed, a beautiful ensuite with heated flooring, and is equipped with a compact fridge and microwave. Free WiFi and satellite TV also included.
Comes complete with a stunning view of the vineyard and, of course, a complimentary bottle of our wine. Guests are also offered a private tour and tasting experience as part of their stay. Open seasonally from mid-June to mid-September.

Bear River Vineyard and Winery is another hidden treasure and Nova Scotia gem. Darren and Sue are very welcoming host snd hostess that mafe you feel immediately at home. The grounds were very enchanting and we had the freedom to enjoy every inch of this property. Our accomdations embodied warmth, character, and charm. Our entire weekend was serene and rejuvenating and exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration. A private tour by Darren and complimentary bottle of wine was an added bonus. Bear River itself is small but quaint. The people so friendly. We took day trips to Digby and the Annapolus Royal both offering great food, wonderful people and lots to see and do. It is a must stop and explore. Our sincerest thanks to Darren and Sue for an ecceptional getaway weekend. We will definitely return to this little NS gem.

Such a great find!

The accommodation is wonderful (the best bed ever!). The winery is spectacular and the hosts couldn't be more hospitable. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in an idyllic setting!

A piece of serenity

Great hosts, peaceful and serene. Comfortable room and amenities. The owners make you feel so welcomed, personal tour and tasting. The vineyard and valley create the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind. Have stated here twice, and will be back again

Bear River winery is a must!!

The property was beautiful with amazing sunsets. The owners were a delight!! Very friendly, & hospitable. Our room had everything we needed. They made our stay very comfortable and their wine is refreshing and very tasty. We'll be back for sure.

Bear River Winery VRBO Nova Scotia

The Bear River Winery VRBO is situated in a beautiful valley overlooking the Bear River near Digby Nova Scotia. In addition to the very pleasing setting, the location is perfect for a couple who want to relax or get out to explore the Bay of Fundy side of Nova Scotia. As a bonus, the wines are excellent, and the hosts are friendly, gracious and very helpful. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Relaxing Hideaway

Darren & Su were fantastic hosts!!! The guided tour was very informative. The chance to see a couple whose hearts directed them into the year round business of winemaking is endearing. The room was spotless. They were responsive to our questions and requests. Nothing quite like being able to order pizza and watch the sunset with a bottle of wine.

Peaceful stay at a beautiful small winery.

Bear Creek Vineyard was perfect for a short stay in the Digby - Annapolis Royal area. We were greeted by our host Daren as though we were old friends and received a personal tour of this unique, charming winery. Our tasting experience on the terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyard and valley was heavenly. Our guest room was very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. I would recommend this as a great couple’s getaway. Also, the wine is very good too!

This was such a beautiful setting very private with amazing views..our hosts were such lovely people and they made us feel welcome from start to finish. Our room had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our 3 day visit and would love to visit again in the fall season. Great experience

There's nothing not to love about Bear River Vineyards. The winery is very scenic and tucked into an interesting spot that is off the beaten track and yet very close to many spots worth touring. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating an have created lovely wines. The accommodations are very comfortable and cozy. Loved having the winery to ourselves after the tasting room closed.

Excellent cozy accommodations!

Wonderful place to stay… Darren and Susan are super friendly hosts who made us feel right at home. Convenient parking and extremely clean accommodations with a comfortable bed and good shower. Close to the little town of Bear River, and only about 20 minute ride to the quaint little town of Digby. We got a free bottle of excellent wine, and a very detailed tour of the winery and it’s operations from Darren. He’s a super kind, friendly, and a gracious person! We highly recommend and will definitely stay there again! It has been the highlight of our month long trip! Thanks Darren and Susan for everything!

Awesome Stay

This is a small family-run vineyard. The owners were amazing to talk to and we thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the vineyard and wine making facility. The wines that they produce were first-rate and we bought a number of bottles to bring home as they are not available at the NSLC, only available onsite or through the website. There is no restaurant onsite which provides incentive to visit the local area. We ate one night in Digby and the other night in Bear River itself. Great weekend and the owners are excellent.

The room we stayed in was speechless I can’t put it it on words how we felt staying there .The owners of this place made us fell at home and their property .If you have a Anniversary and you love wine please stay there ,you will not regret it .Our 30 th Anniversary was spent there and our favourite spot was their oak tree .Thank you so much for your kindness ,your hospitality was outstanding .A place me and my wife will never forget .See you soon Bear River winery

Outstanding - it’s a small, self-contained room, but exactly as shown in the listing. Sue and Darren could not have been nicer. Since they’re right on the property communication was very easy. The vineyards are beautiful and the setting is wonderful. Be sure to make use of the chairs situated in the orchard beneath the 2 great oaks - a wonderful place to sip wine on (for us) a very hot day. Sue did our tasting and was excellent - we really liked their whites and the roses, but didn’t taste the reds or do the vineyard tour with Darren (because of the heat we declined). Our number one find from Bear River was the botanical gardens at Annapolis Royale - don’t miss them! Second was Frank and Dora’s retro burger and shake place down the road - a trip in itself. Finally you cannot really count on the village of Bear River for dinner (at least in our experience) - go to Digby for the scallops. A great time!

We are from Nova Scotia but had followed career paths across Canada until finding this unique opportunity to follow our dreams home. We purchased Bear River Vineyards in 2017, but the winery has operated since 2005 and the first vines were planted in 1993. We are a small, family run, business that focuses on guest experience.

Stunning views, and the charm of a "cottage winery" in beautiful Bear River, Nova Scotia.
