Welcome to Bear River Vineyards! Housed within our winery is a well appointed guest room, offering all the amenities needed for a relaxing experience. It includes a queen bed, a beautiful ensuite with heated flooring, and is equipped with a compact fridge and microwave. Free WiFi and satellite TV also included.
Comes complete with a stunning view of the vineyard and, of course, a complimentary bottle of our wine. Guests are also offered a private tour and tasting experience as part of their stay. Open seasonally from mid-June to mid-September.

Cozy and comfortable stay in Bear River

Amazing hideaway!

Our stay has been great. Nice location to use as a base to explore the area. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating. The winery tour was very interesting. Very knowledgeable tour guide who happens to be the co-owner!

Sat with my morning coffee listening to so many birds, overlooking the vineyard, then with my wine as the sun went down. Beautiful peaceful property. Suite was well-equipped with great locally roasted coffee, wine in the fridge, and comfy bed. Hostess were lovely and welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A little gem worth getting to

Very welcoming hosts. Property is outstanding with the views of the vineyard. Just lovely. The room is very comfy and well appointed.The community of Bear River is also worth a visit. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

Tranquility

A beautiful perch on the too of a steep valley with stunning views of the vineyard cascading down the valley slope. So lovely to sit out witnessing the sunset and hearing silence intermingled with bird calls. The room was spacious, well appointed and beautiful oak details. The bathroom was delightfully spacious! The old barn/winerey set up was tastefully designed. A lovely stay in Bear River!

Bear River Winery is a gem

The property is gorgeous, the wine is the best in Nova Scotia, the accommodations are lovely and the hosts are wonderful. We love Bear River Winery :)

Fantastic stay

What a warm and welcoming stay at Bear River Winery. Darren and Su were phenomenal hosts and we appreciate all of their helpful information and kindness. The wine is excellent and the grounds are stunning. Thank you again for a fantastic stay.

Beautiful winery

Completely enjoyed our stay and Darren and Sue were terrific. Great spot to enjoy all the surroundings.. winery was very enjoyable to watch , their daily work schedule non stop but still very caring to there guests. Great spot to stay

Such a great find!

The accommodation is wonderful (the best bed ever!). The winery is spectacular and the hosts couldn't be more hospitable. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in an idyllic setting!

A piece of serenity

Great hosts, peaceful and serene. Comfortable room and amenities. The owners make you feel so welcomed, personal tour and tasting. The vineyard and valley create the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind. Have stated here twice, and will be back again

Bear River winery is a must!!

The property was beautiful with amazing sunsets. The owners were a delight!! Very friendly, & hospitable. Our room had everything we needed. They made our stay very comfortable and their wine is refreshing and very tasty. We'll be back for sure.

Bear River Winery VRBO Nova Scotia

The Bear River Winery VRBO is situated in a beautiful valley overlooking the Bear River near Digby Nova Scotia. In addition to the very pleasing setting, the location is perfect for a couple who want to relax or get out to explore the Bay of Fundy side of Nova Scotia. As a bonus, the wines are excellent, and the hosts are friendly, gracious and very helpful. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Relaxing Hideaway

Darren & Su were fantastic hosts!!! The guided tour was very informative. The chance to see a couple whose hearts directed them into the year round business of winemaking is endearing. The room was spotless. They were responsive to our questions and requests. Nothing quite like being able to order pizza and watch the sunset with a bottle of wine.

Peaceful stay at a beautiful small winery.

Bear Creek Vineyard was perfect for a short stay in the Digby - Annapolis Royal area. We were greeted by our host Daren as though we were old friends and received a personal tour of this unique, charming winery. Our tasting experience on the terrace overlooking the beautiful vineyard and valley was heavenly. Our guest room was very clean, comfortable and nicely appointed. I would recommend this as a great couple’s getaway. Also, the wine is very good too!

This was such a beautiful setting very private with amazing views..our hosts were such lovely people and they made us feel welcome from start to finish. Our room had everything we needed and it was spotlessly clean. We really enjoyed our 3 day visit and would love to visit again in the fall season. We would not hesitate to highly recommend this unique property and the owners Dean and Sue to other travelers. You will not be disappointed.

Great experience

There's nothing not to love about Bear River Vineyards. The winery is very scenic and tucked into an interesting spot that is off the beaten track and yet very close to many spots worth touring. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating an have created lovely wines. The accommodations are very comfortable and cozy. Loved having the winery to ourselves after the tasting room closed.

Excellent cozy accommodations!

Wonderful place to stay… Darren and Susan are super friendly hosts who made us feel right at home. Convenient parking and extremely clean accommodations with a comfortable bed and good shower. Close to the little town of Bear River, and only about 20 minute ride to the quaint little town of Digby. We got a free bottle of excellent wine, and a very detailed tour of the winery and it’s operations from Darren. He’s a super kind, friendly, and a gracious person! We highly recommend and will definitely stay there again! It has been the highlight of our month long trip! Thanks Darren and Susan for everything!

We are from Nova Scotia but had followed career paths across Canada until finding this unique opportunity to follow our dreams home. We purchased Bear River Vineyards in 2017, but the winery has operated since 2005 and the first vines were planted in 1993. We are a small, family run, business that focuses on guest experience.
