Perfect Stay

Wildflower Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was well stocked; original art adorned the walls; the bed was comfy; the view was outstanding; and Andi was very responsive, and gave us so many great suggestions for great bike rides and activities. We highly recommend Wildflower Cottage.

Beautiful!

We vacationed at the cottage for a week. It was lovely and cozy. The view is mesmerizing and it changes every day with the weather! It was very clean and well equipped with all we needed. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. It's a wonderful place to stay at and perfectly located.

We had a wonderful week at Andi’s beautiful cottage. The home is warm, peaceful, and full of thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Annapolis Royal is a charming town, and we loved exploring its historic sites, gardens, and vibrant farmers’ market. One highlight was a magical early morning visit to Burntcoat Head Park — unforgettable. We’re leaving with full hearts and lasting memories. Highly recommended!

Beautiful cottage

Lovely place with lovely views of the Annapolis river. Two full bathrooms and two large bedrooms, great. We have stayed in may places in Europe and N America and this was the most well provisioned rental we have experienced. Even a selection of teas available! Close to many interesting historic and natural sites. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Wildflower Cottage exceeded our expectations in every way! Spacious, clean and comfortable, it was the perfect place to stay while exploring Nova Scotia. When we checked in, we really appreciated not only a guidebook and general information for the cottage, but also a list of local restaurants, shops and events that might be of interest. Our hosts thought of everything: from a well-stocked kitchen, fast wifi and streaming services to fresh linens, cozy blankets, and quiet nooks throughout the cottage to read and relax. The gorgeous views, beautiful countryside and walking trails around the property made our stay even more wonderful. We can't recommend Wildflower Cottage enough, thank you!!

Annapolis Valley Gem

Rustic but well appointed old farmhouse on a beautiful property, large enough to explore and even hike to the basin. Everything that you need is provided - literally. The host has all information needed to tour the area at your fingertips, comfortable rooms - with the picture window overlooking the river a favourite. Hard to pry away from that view. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful, calm and quiet. Very "unplugged".

Immaculately clean. The views and fall color were so great. Very comfortable and hosts were so accommodating. It was private even though the owners live nearby. We will visit again so we can see more wildlife and hike. Lovely for a retreat for renewal and rest. Great music selection!

A very enjoyable experience!

There were so many things we enjoyed about this VRBO rental. The park-like setting of the house’s location made nature feel close. The house itself had a rustic feel that evoked the calm of a simpler time, made more apparent when we looked out the large picture windows that provided a view of fields leading down to the Annapolis Basin. The proximity to town and the highway allowed for easy access to cafes, eateries, the amazing Saturday Farmer’s Market, and other amenities. With so many well-thought out conveniences and a wonderful attention to color and aesthetics, it was clear the hosts were very mindful of the comforts of their guests.

Charming older home in the countryside with a great view of the Annapolis River.

This home was built in the 1920's and has a few quirks such as some floors sloping a bit and a musty smell on first arrival. That said, it is charmingly decorated, very clean, large rooms and a great view. Close driving to Annapolis Royal. The owners live nearby and are very nice. We were two couples and had plenty of room. The kitchen is large and well stocked. Allow a little extra time if baking in the oven. Sitting in the sun room each morning, watching the sunrise and sipping our coffee will be a favorite memory. We would stay here again!

Peace + beauty=Home

There are no words to describe the beauty and peace we found at the Wildflower Cottage. The description and pictures are exactly what we found when we arrived. Our family enjoyed every moment of our vacation there and Andi and Steven were incredible hosts. They provided us with several recommendations of where to visit and spent some time getting to know us. The cottage had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and more. On the day before we left, we saw beavers, a snowshoe hare, a deer which came to the big picture window and a pheasant. Such an incredible place and vacation! We would definitely return and are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to stay in Andi and Steven's home. Thank you again for opening your home to us! We miss it already! WONDERFUL RETREAT!

The fall colours were at their peak when our family of 3 recently stayed at wildflower cottage. After a long flight, arriving here was so soothing and sublime. The cottage, with its large picture windows displaying the beautiful meadows, matures trees, red barn and waterfront in panoramic view was out of a museum-quality painting. Hard to pull ourselves from away from this scene. The kitchen is large and definitely the best equipped of any vacation rental we've stayed at down to the stainless steel pots and pans, sharp knives and excellent coffee maker. There's a wonderfully cozy and spacious living room off the kitchen. The downstairs and upstairs bedrooms are thoughtfully designed and very comfortable. There is lots to do in Annapolis Royal and area, but we choose mainly to settle into our retreat and catch up on reading. Yet we did venture out each day and walked the town trails, had lunch or coffee at Bistro East, which we highly recommend, and explored the amazing historic gardens. We saw a good Celtic music band at the King's Theatre one evening and spent another day hiking in Keji park. The owners were delightful. We will definitely return. Many thanks. M&J

We absolutely adore Wildflower Cottage! This is our second stay and hopefully not our last. The kitchen is fully equipped. Everything that we needed for a relaxing stay was present. We could go out every morning and pick blueberries for our breakfast. And we sat for hours on end in the sunroom, reading, gazing out the window and recharging. Andi and Steve made sure we had everything we needed. It felt like home.

Cottage stay

The cottage looks as shown in photos. The thing to remember it is a cottage. No dishwasher and rustic feel to kitchen. The cottage was clean. The furniture was comfortable and having Netflix for guests for the evening was great! The location worked well for us because we wanted to use it as home base and day trip it from there. We had already explored the other side of the province and Cape Breton on a previous trip. The owner was quick to respond to a question we had. She is a very thoughtful and organized host. There is spices, start up coffee, paper products, dish soap , condiments in fridge, house line phone with free North American phone calls, written instructions for using the cottage, written instructions for departure day, reading material, brochures for local attractions. The phone was great for us as we both have aged parents we need to check on at home. Thank you Andi for being a great host! Loved the artwork on the walls depicting local scenery.

Beautiful cottage and views!

My family and I stayed here for a week and it was very nice. The cottage was clean, spacious, pantry was full of condiments which is always very helpful. We just loved it. The views were amazing and there was lots to do in and around Annapolis Royal. Andi was very helpful from beginning to end and was always around if we needed her for anything. I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much Andi.

Beautiful setting overlooking the Annapolis Basin

We enjoyed Wildflower Cottage, a peaceful pastoral setting 5 minutes from historic Annapolis Royal. The property is quaint and very well equipped. The owner was available and responsive if we needed anything.

Welcoming, Homey Cottage in a Lovely, Pastoral Setting

We felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Lamps in the cottage were lit (it was a gloomy, rain-soaked day) and there was a personalized welcome letter accompanying a helpful notebook of information about the locale. Wildflower Cottage's immaculate, airy space is beautifully appointed with cozy furnishings and colorful artwork. Beds are extremely comfortable, bathrooms are large with modern fixtures, and the well-equipped kitchen even includes pantry items such as tea, coffee and pasta. (An extra treat for us was being invited to pick ripe blueberries outside the cottage. What a nice addition to our breakfast cereal!) Andi is a wonderful host, accessible as needed, and has anticipated all the little details that make for an enjoyable stay. We only wished that we could have stayed longer!
