Escape to oceanfront Ma’alaea Kai #202 features a clean and tropical design, with bamboo floors, plantation shutters, and colorful island art. The bedroom is serene, featuring a plush king bed, while the living room has a comfortable sleeper sofa. The bathroom has a lovely walk-in shower, and the kitchen is well-equipped to prepare meals to enjoy on your lanai with exquisite ocean views. Stay cool with ceiling fans and 2 split A/Cs, and stay connected with complimentary cable TV and internet.

Outside, the resort offers beautifully maintained amenities, including a heated pool, meticulously maintained BBQ stations with gas grills, an edge-of-ocean line of lounge chairs on the luxurious lawn, and lush tropical plants and landscape. From the unit or the grounds, you have preferred seating to stunning ocean views, where harbor boats full of guests on adventures, outrigger canoers, stand-up paddlers, snorkelers, and surfers can be seen. During whale season (November-April), you may enjoy the aerial feats of Humpback Whales as they breach and spout just off the coast.

Communication was easy and helpful. Room is well stuffed with all the necessities. Easy ride to Kihei which is probably the nearest neighborhood for food and drink.

Room location was very nice. A bit dated and the mirrored walls need to go. We shouldnt of had to purchase TP for our stay but alas it was necessary as 1.5 rolls to start with wasnt enough but this was minor but an oversight nevertheless. Lots of turtles in the water at this location and you can see whales with binoculars. Kitchen well equiped.

Peaceful and beautiful

We had a relaxing and peaceful oceanfront stay at this very well cared for 70’s inspired condo complex… no crowds, no traffic, only trade winds and beautiful sunrises.

Good location, very comfortable condo

The condo had everything you could need, well supplied and very comfortable. Maalaea beach is a little distance away, but the central location of Maalaea is great for getting to other parts of the island- Kihei, West Maui or driving north and to upcountry. We were very pleased with this rental.

Windy windy windy

Almost always windy here at Maalaea. When it calmed to breezy it was nice. Enjoyed whale and turtle watching from the lawn. Condo was great.

Wonderful stay!

We had a beautiful stay at this property! The balcony looks right out at the ocean and it was beautiful! We were also able to go right up to the water and there were plenty of lounge chairs to sit and watch the sunrise/sunset on the water. Also, there were tons and tons of turtles at all hours of the day right along the water playing and finding food. The apartment was clean and the communication was great. Thank you again! We had a blast!

Stay at Maalea Kia

Location & facility wonderful. Immaculately cared for & quiet. Pool is wonderful. Parking better on street than lot. Unit overall well appointed with household & beach items. However a bit tired, needing some repairs & upgraded cleaning.

The condo was very clean and well managed. Such as awesome location with lot of turtles on the sea. Walkable to Maui aquarium and another beautiful beach. Night view is awesome. Lovely oceanfront condo with AC and a great kind size bed.

I enjoyed the pool and listening to the ocean during our stay. We slept with the windows open and the breezes were wonderful. During the days when it was hot, the AC worked great! Check in was quite easy and the only complaint which was easily remedied is that the tap water is unpleasant to drink so we bought bottled water and a bag of ice.

Wonderful condo

We were very happy with the condo throughout our stay. The location is great - close to anything you need, yet more secluded and quiet than condos in town. The unit itself is clean, well maintained and has a very comfortable bed. The owners provide all the beach provisions you could need. The check in and out process was seamless. It was wonderful sitting on the lanai and watching the sea turtles swimming right off the end of the property. We definitely hope to rent this condo again on our next trip to Maui.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Quiet location in the harbor with a decent view of the water. Bed was not the most comfortable. Amenities were useful from kitchenware to beach chairs to towels to coolers.

Didn’t want to leave !

Loved the stay at this property! The unit sits right in front of the sea . Awesome for a morning and evening walk. You have a small “private “ beach that you can enjoy wetting your feet . The until was very clean and well stocked. It’s close to your location yet away from the crowd . The only challenge we had was parking . But we managed it and didn’t have much issues. I will definitely stay here again!

Mom's birthday trip

My mom can't get around easily. This property had a great view was walker friendly. The bathroom had a bar in the easily accessible shower. There was an elevator to the 2nd floor. We used Gammie medical supplies to rent a raised toilet seat and transfer wheelchair.

Exceeds expectations

This property is picture perfect with tasteful, high end finishes and a stunning ocean front view. Management was quick to respond and replace the microwave when it stopped working. I have stayed in many vacation rentals, but none were as spotlessly clean and well stocked as this one. The grounds are impeccable and the swimming pool looks right onto the ocean. The location is conveniently situated central to all areas of the island. I would highly recommend this for a solo traveller, couple or family as it is much bigger and even nicer than the photos show. Mahalo.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was nice. Nice location. And we saw quite a few whales past our lanai. I would not recommend the couch sleeper. Very pokey and very uncomfortable. Maybe a 4” mattress topper would help. I would recommend this for 2 people and forget about the sofa bed.
