Spring Break 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed 4 nights with 4 adults and 2 kids. This cottage was perfect for the amount of people and great for kids and older adults. All on one floor. Great distance from the beach. Great driving distance from everything on the island. Highly recommended.

Pleasant Stay - Very Nice Area and Unit

Very nice duplex. Loved the vaulted ceilings in the kitchen and living room. Loved the large master suite bathroom and Shower. Our bed was even comfortable enough that we didn't miss our bed at home too much. Our two adult children stayed in the twin beds and didn't have any complaints and their bathroom was nice. Never made it out back so not sure of that area. Loved the separate driveway and separation from the other unit. Loved the sitting area up front in the enclosed porch. Washer and dryer was good. Close to beach access on Dexter Road which is across the street from this place. Not a far walk at all. It was cold the week we stayed so we had to turn the heater on, and it worked great. The only thing to say negative was there was a musty smell and I'm sensitive to smells, but we got used to it as we stayed there. That's why I gave 4 stars for the "Cleanliness" because of the smell, however, the place my sister's family rented on Dexter had the same smell and she had a much bigger house. We are guessing its the smell of the island homes. Overall very nice and we would stay there again.

Better than Photos

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The photos of Barnhill B don't match the reality. The unit was open and airy and spacious for a duplex. The neighborhood was quiet and cozy, and the walk to the beach was short. The house is near some of my favorite Jekyll places: Driftwood Beach and Tortuga Jacks. We had a great experience with Jekyll Realty.

Very nice property. Clean and near ocean and bike paths. We really enjoyed that the front porch has been screened in. We could hear the ocean nearly every morning. It was a good experience.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Barnhill B! Me, my family, a couple of friends went to Jekyll Island for my cousin's wedding. We had a great time, and the accommodations made it even better! It was very clean, and everything was as advertised. The beach is about a 2 minute walk just across the street, and about a mile from the village if shopping is your thing. It was located in a quiet spot on the island, so it made it very easy to unwind at the end of a full day of activities. Jekyll Reality also started offering a linen package for an additional fee, and in our opinion it's totally worth it! Thankyou for everything, we really enjoyed our visit, and we'll definitely be back to stay here again!

Family trip

We really enjoyed our visit! The kitchen was so well stocked with everything you need to cook a good meal. We did get to see deer in the backyard. There was construction going on at the house next door, and that is not the best way to wake up while on vacation (a warning about that would have been nice when booking). Overall, we would stay there again when the house next door is done with their remodel!

Family Vacation

If I could rate the property a 10, I would. It was well maintained and beautifully decorated. It was by far the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Deer would visit our back yard every evening, which was the highlight of our trip. I highly recommend Jekyll Realty and staying at BarnHill.

Beautifully decorated and a very well stocked kitchen. The deer come right up to the back door.

Great place for the money

Enjoyed our stay, good location, everything worked inside the house. Saw several deer in the back yard. First time staying at a vrbo and didn't realize you needed to bring your own linens. Our fault for not reading the whole description but a quick stop at Walmart fixed our problem lol Hopefully we will be back here again next year.

Really enjoyed the space, clean, kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook dinner, grill out back. Spacious living area. Surprised how large the bathrooms are. Short walk to the beach or short drive to public beach area

Clean well appointed property.

Very clean rental in quite neighborhood. Probably the cleanest vacation rentals I have ever stayed in. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. Easy to check in and out. Comfortable beds.

Front/back Door Locks Need to Be Explained

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Barnhill B was clean, had all the amenities it described. The pool pass to Days Inn pools was ok (although I suspect with all the daily pool “traffic” the pool wasn’t disinfected as often as it should have been). It may have been culprit to a virus I got. Oh well, post -COViD I was vaccinated & all I wanted to do was finally release stress and cool off. I know better and would have been hesitant in previous years to “enter at own risk”. rental was okay (nice big master bath and comfortable bed!). Nice kitchen. But the lock situation got us in trouble on Sunday as we did not know door locks were fire locks so we accidentally got locked out late Sunday afternoon. I panicked but my friend stayed calm. Finally reached the after hours office and they came with extra key (which I immediately hid outside!!). Other than that it was a good rental. I may try to rent something a little closer to “hub” of Jekyll next trip. We did rent golf cart which really saved on gas.

Great week

The house was exactly as advertised. We enjoyed the sunny backyard.
