Such a wonderful getaway! The house is comfortable, clean and unique. The area is full of natural beauty and has a charming, small town vibe. We loved watching the sandhill cranes and osprey fly over the water. Chris was easy to get in touch with and made sure everything was ready for us. We hope to be back very soon!

Visiting

I stayed at this location as I was visiting family and friends in the area. It has a nice location, and I enjoyed the lake view. Chris was a great host and very responsive.

Overall this is a great vacation home. It has all the amenities we needed and a great library which we used several times. We spent many hours on the screened porch which was great with the overhead fan. We knew the lake in front had dried up so that was the only major downside to accessing the lake. We did use the boat that the owner moved to the main lake and I was able to catch a nice bass. The location is perfect and we enjoyed many nearby attractions like the air boat tour and several golf courses. We hope to return next year.

Restful Retreat

Cypress Cottage was a great way to find some peace and tranquility between a busy schedule of church services and meetings. It's a wonderful location that you can tell has been well loved by its owners. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is a great place for just that.

Quiet Sanctuary

Even though we had a short trip (3 days, 2 nights) it was a perfect retreat. The property is so homey and inviting from the moment you walk in. Quiet and peaceful and a perfect place to recharge!

ABSOLUTELY LOVED OUR STAY !!

We felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. We enjoyed fishing, biking, sunsets, watched cranes, hawks, small gators, and eagles. We especially loved the tranquility and peaceful feeling at the Cypress cottage. Chris was an amazing host!!

Wonderful

This is a great place to stay. It's relaxing, has everything needed for a terrific visit & is close to the Withlacoochee Bike trail. Chris is a great host. We loved the dock, the birds & other wildlife, including several visits from the an alligator. Highly recommend!

Perfect little cabin

The cabin was perfect and had so many amenities to offer! Was very cozy and comfortable and all the extra touches to make it a perfect stay! My husband and daughter loved taking out the boat and fishing every day while I relaxed on the dock! Very peaceful and very enjoyable! Wish we had our own place like this to get away, we'll definitely love to stay here again!

Loved the house, felt extremely welcoming and comfortable.  It was rustic with historical significance and decorated with that in mind.  It was like a more interesting part of the weekend getaway being there.  Other than it was so big that I kept losing my husband, never knowing what turn or part of the property I was going to find him at! Loved that we could sit outside in the morning down by the lake and in the screened in room in the evening.  Chris, the host, was amazing and could reach him in an instant with a question. Everything was stocked up with more than you need for a stay and we love that it is so close to the Citrus County Speedway. We love Lollygaggers and Brooksville’s own Florida Cracker Kitchen and Green Door...you should check them out. We will be staying here again!

Cypress Cottage

We had a fantastic time riding on the Withlacoochee trail then relaxing on the deck of the cottage. The owner was very nice and told us some of the interesting history of the family cottage. We hope to be back soon.

Peaceful and pleasant

We wanted to “get away from it all” but be by a lake and the Withlacoochee bike path. This was perfect. Property is rustic but well equipped and comfortable. Beautiful lakefront and very close to the trail. Owner was friendly and helpful.
