Settle in for a better than hotel-like stay in this delightful, private, 2,000+ sq ft home in a great location, with 4 separate bedrooms and 3 baths in a fantastic south Alexandria location! Whole home rental means the entire home is privately yours. 30 day minimum rental - no exceptions - this is a County regulation. Comfortable, uncluttered, clean and renovated. Nicely furnished, utilities and internet included.
Located to the south of Old Town Alexandria, easy access to the scenic George Washington Parkway, just 5 miles N of Fort Belvoir and 11 miles south of DC/Pentagon and Andrews AFB. Enjoy the peace and convenience of our neighborhood location. Perfect for families, couples, singles, corporate, government or military - transitioning or TDY accompanied, or those enjoying a long vacation, visiting with family or working in the area for an extended period.
Nicely furnished, uncluttered, clean, comfortable, renovated, new/newer furnishings, 4 real bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms. Newer, superior beds (1 King, 2 Queens, 2 Twins). The office space also has a full size futon.
CLEANING INFO. We fully clean, launder and sanitize between every stay. We ensure our home passes OUR tough standards before we allow it to be your home away from home. We replace sleeping pillows with new pillows between all stays, all surfaces are washed and disinfected, linens and towels are professionally laundered between stays or are brand new. Enhanced cleaning protocols are in place and squeaky clean comes to mind.

ABOUT OUR LOCATION: Sought after neighborhood along the Potomac boasting trees, sidewalks and parks. Just 4 miles south of old town Alexandria, convenient access to Reagan (DCA) airport, Crystal City, Pentagon and military bases (Fort Belvoir within 5 miles), government agencies, corporate offices, National Landing and Amazon, plus Maryland and National Harbor are a hop over the bridge. Short walk to local metro bus stop. Close to Mt Vernon bike/walk trail, fitness centers, shopping, restaurants, public tennis, libraries and history. Much better than a hotel for longer term stays!
ABOUT OUR HOME: Bright, modern, split foyer open floor plan. Renovated in 2018/2022. Newer furnishings throughout. TWO LEVELS: Upper level with living, kitchen, dining, full hall bath, two bedrooms (one queen bedroom and one king bedroom with a separate private bathroom), plus large upper level deck. Lower level with office area, family room, two additional bedrooms (one bedroom with 1 or 2 twin beds - your choice - and one bedroom with a queen bed), a full bathroom, laundry room with full size washer/dryer plus storage area, and patio with seating, gas grill, wood firepit (S'mores!) and large fenced yard. The west facing deck and patio are great for relaxing as the sun goes down (outdoor furniture usually stored off season), private, off-street driveway parking, and large fenced yard. Utilities, high speed internet and cable provided. Prudent use of utilities expected. Responsible renters welcome!
There are FOUR separate bedrooms and total beds include 1 king, 2 queens and either 1 or 2 twin beds (your choice). Total full bathrooms are 3. Working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and security system. Clean and uncluttered, with just about everything needed as your home away from home. The owners also live in the area and are available as needed to complement your stay.
Kitchen includes newer appliances plus microwave. Our home is well stocked with coffee maker(Keurig and drip), kettle, blender, toaster, crockpot, baking and cooking pots/pans, dishes, glassware, mugs, utensils etc. along with some pantry, cleaning and paper product staples.
New pillows, plush towels, newer quality mattresses and clean area rugs. Wood and tile floors. Most seating areas are leather or faux leather and we use duvet covers on bedding - comfortable and clean for you and easier for us to maintain a clean home!
Some adult/family/kid games, books, puzzles, balls and activities provided. Plentiful outdoor space on the fenced property and in the walkable neighborhood. Kids playground within several hundred feet.
Close/walk to parks, public playgrounds, ball fields, tennis (day/night) and running track, biking and walking trail. Near recreation center (indoor pool/ice skating *note* facility closed for expansion/renovation 2023/24) and historic grounds (very close to Fort Hunt Park and Mount Vernon Estate). The perfect place to settle in for an extended stay.
Health emergency/pandemic may affect operations of local businesses, restaurants, public transportation and other facilities and (rare) severe weather/acts of god could temporarily affect utilities.*

We fell in love with this neighborhood and zipcode and moved here to raise our family more than 15 years ago. The community is a great place to call home and we think it's the perfect place to stay for an extended visit or as a relocation or transition platform. We're located in an upscale family friendly community tucked away along the scenic GW Parkway with easy access to as much as the DMV area offers.

Great neighborhood location, close to "everything" but tucked away. Renovated 2018/20 and newly furnished. Set back off the street, generally quiet and good for family. Walkable neighborhood with sidewalks, children's parks, ball fields, public tennis courts, libraries, shopping, rec center with indoor pool and ice skating nearby. We are also close to historic areas and museums. Fun fact - the home itself sits on land once owned by George Washington.
