Quiet getaway

Lovely cottage. No toiletries as advertised tho, needed to get soap, shampoo, conditioner, moisturizer and bottled water. Shower water was stinky, sulphur.

Treasure Cay Island Paradise

Absolutely beautiful place to stay…steps from one of the lost beautiful beaches in the world. Still rebuilding the area after the 2019 hurricane. Friendly people all around. Yvette is the consummate host! Addressed all questions quickly and her Serenity by the Sea is so warm and cozy! A must place to stay if you are looking for quiet, very few kids, and no theme parks! Just don’t book and bump us from our next stay!!!

The house was as shown, confortable beds, clean bathrooms and kitchen, nice location. Our real problem was Internet. The modem needs to be replaced it is fixed with band aids and it is not working continuously. First day without internet Manager told us was going to send somebody but never happens. Next day we called the owner and immediately somebody came.and fixed it with a los of effort. Due to the condition of the modem, without touching or moving it, it was in and out every

AWESOME!

This place is even better than described. it's in a fantastic location (Treasure Cay) and the unit is very well maintained. The A/C works great. the owner was very, VERY prompt in responding to any question i had and gave us some very good suggestions for boat rental and fishing. we will 1000% go back to Serenity by the Sea in the future.

Property dirty and in poor condition and HOA areas not usable

Property was dirty and in poor condition. Lipstick on cups, dirty residue on glasses, old crusted washing-up sponge on the sink, knives and forks with food remains. On check-in the property was at 90 degrees and the storm shutters were all closed even though it had been readied for our arrival just a couple of hours prior. Floor was dirty with bugs. Grill (that we had brought food for) was in a pile of used and rusted pieces. The host was responsive and apologetic at first and kindly offered to clean. However, we chose to leave after one night because a full top to bottom cleaning of the unit would not have fixed the overall condition - missing trim, missing towel rail, rusted pull handles, an abandoned safe in the closet, built up residue on the sink and faucets, broken door sliders. We also left because of the upkeep of the common areas of the HOA totally precluded their use - the landscaping was overgrown with discarded road cones in random places. Most disappointing was that the HOA beach chairs were rusted through, broken and not usable.

Great location

The villa was great for the four of us. It is located near all the Treasure Cay amenities. We enjoyed the pool and deck overlooking the beautiful beach.

Best beach & water ever

Such a beautiful soft white sand beach & the water is clean, & beautiful. I didn’t want to leave. The water temperature is perfect.

Peace and quiet

Very beautiful area. Beach was a 2 minute walk from the front door to a powder soft sand beach with teal colored water. Fresh water pool if you don't care to swim in the sea. Super friendly neighbors but lots of privacy. Yvette gave a great run down of the amenities in the neighborhood. Strongly recommend Sunset Pizza right outside of gate to Treasure Cay.

Beautiful Treasure Cay

My friends and I enjoyed our stay at Serenity By the Sea on Treasure Cay. The Beach Villas community is very friendly and welcoming. The grounds are well kept, the pool area is very nice, and the beach is beautiful with plenty of lounges and cabanas. This villa is in a quiet location in the community and very clean. With the windows open, the ocean waves lull you to sleep. We were a short walk to the pool and a 3 1/2 mile beach. Also a 5 minute walk to the office where there are nice laundry facilities and potable drinking water to purchase @ $1/gallon. The patio with picnic table was good for breakfast and coffee in the morning sun. The landscaping around the patio has grown and provides a privacy screen. The power went out a couple of times, and we had issues with the internet and tv. The internet issues were resolved. We enjoyed the restaurant/bar at Bahama Beach Club, which is 10-15 minute walk. The sandbar toward Windward Point is a great place for shelling at low tide. The Mini-Mart nearby has limited supplies, so it would be wise to shop in Marsh Harbour for groceries and liquor. Also, FYI, many places accept cash only, and there are no ATM’s in the area.

Amazing Vacation

The property is fantastic and just as described. Walking distance to Cafe Florence’s and the marina where we rented a boat and explored the near by islands (this is a must). The water is absolutely beautiful and we were the only ones on the beach for the majority of our time there. If you are looking for peace and quiet and perfect beaches this is it. Watching our kids run and play without any worry was truly a vacation. We are already planning our next trip back!

Great property, close to beach

The house was beautiful and very clean. Just steps away from the most beautiful beach! Yvette was very friendly and helpful when the Wi-Fi stopped working. We would definitely stay again.!!

Comfortable villa close to beach

My husband and I enjoyed a comfortable stay at Serenity By The Sea villa. The unit was clean and well appointed with newer appliances and linens. We had a couple of initial glitches but Yvette was quick to respond and take care of things. The unit was within a couple minutes walk to the beach. The Treasure Cay Beach Villa community was a very clean and safe community to stay in. People were exceedingly friendly and helpful.

Just What The Doctor Ordered!!

I think the best thing was that the property came as advertised. We had three adults in our group and there was plenty of room. The unit was very clean and updated with what looked like new appliances. The walk to the beach/pool area is short. The location couldn't have been better for us. We rented a boat from Wilson at Treasure Cay Rentals (they are excellent), which was short golf cart ride away. There is a small plaza across the street with a mini market and Cafe la Florence. The other big thing that stuck out to me was the great communication. Yvette was right on top of every detail and SUPER responsive. Plus, their house manager (Shantell) was available via phone whenever we needed her....and we needed her a lot on the way in because we were delayed by a day.

Great locale for a low key getaway

We arrived at the airport a few hours before check in and the host was so kind as to let us check in early. The property is very charming and clean, and just a couple minutes walk from the pool and beach. It’s obvious there was a lot of thought put into the decor. We were 2 adults and 2 kids and there was plenty of room for us all to have some space. Just be aware that like the listing states the place is not childproofed, for example the floors are slippery when wet so be cautious of that. The beach was absolutely breathtaking, and the villas are a short walk to the Bahama Beach Club, as well as to a mini market and another restaurant. There is laundry onsite as well. Highly recommended to rent a golf cart in advance as they go quickly and they’re the best way to explore the area, especially when you don’t want to walk in the heat. Overall we loved our stay!!

Walk to beautiful beach - from beautifully updated house

VRBO and beach was great. Sad that very little infrastructure and commercial development has been rebuilt since the hurricane in 2019. Don't expect nice restaurants and shopping it isn't here - but neither are the crowds. We often were the only ones on the beach.

Perfect!

Our stay at Serenity by the Sea was absolutely perfect. We wanted (and needed) to just check out and regroup and luckily came across this villa. Planning with the owner was seamless. Accommodations were lovely, clean and well equipped. The beach and Sea of Abaco, hard to put it into words other than paradise. The island is still in recovery from Hurricane Dorian. There are still a lot of properties that are destroyed but the Beach Villas are in good shape. The Bahama Beach Club is a short walk down the beach and they have good food and drinks. There’s a small market, breakfast and lunch place and liquor store just a short walk away. We rented a boat at the adjacent marina, which is still closed, but there were boats available and we had a great time. We felt safe and had a great week. Will be back for sure! Thank you Yvette!

Amazing secluded getaway

This was the perfect stay for our family. Hop skip and a jump from pool and beach…and has them almost to ourselves! Yvette was so prompt in communicating with us. Highly recommend!!

Serendipity and serenity

When our vrbo was canceled a month before our trip, it was good luck that we planned our trip in the off season. It wa better luck when we found this villa. It’s a large development (for the out islands) but we were on the outer edge with easy access to the beach, pool and street. Even with the close proximity of other villas we felt very private and serene. Very much recovered from Dorian (except for our original rental which was being remodeled), the villa and its landscaping was clean, neat, well laid out with all the convenience of modem homes. A special shout out to Shantel the property manager, who assisted us several times. We hope to come back again!
