Our Cozy Mountain Cabin is in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and the perfect location for any season. You can enjoy beautiful forest and mountain views from the back deck and private hot tub. It's a wonderful place to enjoy many outdoor activities or simply relax. There is downhill skiing, sledding, snow shoeing at Heavenly Valley Ski Resort only 5 miles from the cabin. Other ski areas close to South Shore are Sierra Ski Resort and Kirkwood.

South shore also has beautiful beaches, water sports and casinos/gambling are all only 5-8 miles from the cabin. There are also walking, biking trails at the end of the street
It's a wonderful place to visit all four seasons.

Our family trip

This cabin fit our family perfect. The beds were comfortable, the dinner table was perfect size for us all to eat together & play games at night. Only 10 minutes to stateline. The neighborhood was very quite and we had a cute bunny family in the backyard. Bernadette was great to work with. She responded within minutes if we needed her and was very kind in her messages. We would absolutely rent from Bernadette again!

Cozy mountain house

The house was clean and cozy, particularly when it was snowing. We enjoyed the the large windows at the living room to view the snowing. The ski and tubing center is a short drive away.

Comfortable and relaxing

What a wonderful cabin! We have stayed at multiple cabins around Lake Tahoe over the years and this is tops. Two decks give you a shady (or sunny) place to gather or relax anytime of the day. Located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful mountain views from the back deck and tall pines in the front. Inside is a wonderfully furnished home with three bedrooms, two new baths, and two large lounging areas (one upstairs and one down). The well-equiped kitchen passed my cheffy wife's requirements with flying colors, so you don't have to bring half of your own kitchen with you if you like to cook. We took a lake cruise on the Bleu Wave yacht, gondolas to the top of Heavenly Valley, hiked the stream profile chamber trail, and did a leisurely drive around the lake. All this was punctuated by four restful nights on comfortable beds in Bernadette and Lorin's beautiful home. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm sure we'll be back!

Great cabin getaway

Our family had a great time at this cabin. The home was very clean and well maintained with great views from the hot tub in the backyard. Bernadette was very communicative and helpful as well. Would definitely stay again.

Ski weekend trip

We have stayed at Bernadette’s cabin before and requested her if it was available again. It is very comfortable, We love the location and she is a great host!

Just a fantastic Tahoe property

Bernadette is a great communicator and clearly loves and cares for her home. Tahoe is full of neglected vacation rentals with falling apart furniture, poorly stocked kitchens, and filthy hot tubs. Bernadette’s place is the exact opposite. It was our section time her for our group of four adults and four kids. Hope to return next year! Thanks Bernadette!

Mountain Perfection

We stayed in this house one week last year and had a great time. This year we were able to stay for the whole month of July! The location is perfect! Quiet, peaceful and yet close to some of our favorite activities, restaurants and the back yards feels like we’re all by ourselves. PERFECT!

Magical Winter Wonderland

Fabulous hosts that answered all questions and made the arrival seem less and worrry-free. Place is clean, cozy, and well equipped. Hot tub under the redwoods hit the spot after a day of skiing. Close to Sierra! Will definitely come again!

Great stay

We stayed here for a week. Two families i.e 4 adults and 3 kids. Place was very clean and well organized. There were enough utensils in the kitchen. Jacuzzi was already set to the right temperature and there are good instructions to follow everywhere in house. House have enough space for two families. There was only one room with king bed, so our family had to split in two rooms. There were few minor things like, property does not have hair dryer so please take one, also bath soap and stuff is not enough so please take your own. One of the bathroom lock was broken and dryer was too slow to dry. Overall the property is clean and very well managed, we will be back.

Nice place, helpful host

We loved our winter weekend in this cabin. Bernadette was helpful and flexible when we got snowed in and needed to stay another night. The bedrooms get chilly at night, but space heaters and plenty of blankets kept everyone cozy.

Amazing place!

Very comfortable and clean. Perfect spot to make a base for our ski trip. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware and spices. Host was very accommodating in the changing of dates due to us falling sick. Thank you!

Perfect cabin!

Bernadette is a great host and the cabin is just perfect. The kitchen is very well appointed and there is plenty of space to gather around the cozy fireplace downstairs and another great space in the loft with its own fireplace upstairs. The bedrooms were just the right size and beds were comfortable. Even the hot tub is perfect and a welcome serene relief soaking and watching the stars at night after a day in the mountain.

My husband and I live in the bay area and were very fortunate to buy our home in SLT in 2005. We spend as much time as possible there and love to share it with our guests when we are not able to be in Tahoe since we don't like to leave it unoccupied.

We bought our cabin in South Lake Tahoe because we truly love the area. We ski in the winter and ride our bikes, hike, and go to the lake in the summer. Spring and fall are great for hiking. It's located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood.
