The Award Winning Historic 1893 Reed - Dossey House Bed & Breakfast

When you book your stay here, Our guests will experience the charm of the Historic 1893 Reed-Dossey House Bed & Breakfast located atop a hill with picturesque views of Brownsville, Kentucky. In the past 2 years, this B&B was awarded three Best In Kentucky awards from travel magazines. This cozy B&B is conveniently situated just 5 miles from Mammoth Cave National Park, 10 miles from Nolin Lake State Park, and 25 miles from the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. With only the one private room with your own bathroom suite, you will be our exclusive guests and you will have access to the stunning bedroom with 12-foot ceilings and an attached private bathroom featuring a jetted bathtub and shower.

Take your pick from the two beautiful porches to unwind during your stay, or head to the game room with board and arcade games for some indoor entertainment.

Please note that the maximum stay is 3 nights, and we only accept bookings from the guest who will be staying on the premises. The minimum age limit for adult renters is 25 years, and we do not allow children or any additional guests.

A highlight of our B&B is the made-to-order gourmet breakfast, which is included in the room rate and served in the elegant dining room. We use only the freshest ingredients to prepare your breakfast of choice, whether it's scrambled or fried eggs, bacon, ham, or sausage, French toast made with specialty breads, toast, mixed fruits, juice, coffee, or tea.

In addition to the dining and bedroom areas, guests have access to most lower-level rooms including the Parlor, Game Room, and Sunroom, as well as both outdoor porches. Please note that the kitchen is off-limits during meal preparation, and the host's bathroom is not available for use.

Last but not least, please be aware that we have a friendly cat named Katie who roams the premises but is never allowed in the guest room.

Wonderful experience beginning to end!!

Unfortunately, we were only able to stay one night at this B&B. We truly felt so welcomed and cared for-we would have loved another couple of days! Of course, none of our clothes would have fit by then! The food!! Absolutely delicious-soup to nuts! Tony and Sharon really put their hearts into every detail-we felt like royalty the whole time. In addition, we had great conversation and a lot of laughs! Thanks for the highlight of our 10 day vacation! ❤️

Much More Than An Ordinary B&B

Sharon and Tony welcomed my wife and me into their home as though we were long-lost friends. We enjoyed everything about our stay: the comfortable bed, spacious porch overlooking the scenic hillsides (gorgeous in the fall), delightful conversations and, of course, the delicious breakfast with homemade jams, jellies and syrups. If you stay there, sign up for the optional dinners. We had homemade pizza one night and grilled steaks the other, and both were great — and generous enough to enjoy leftovers as lunches the following days.

wonderful!

My boyfriend and I spent two days here, the house was just beautiful and the hosts were amazing! They are also the best cooks I have ever met! The house is in a wonderful town but the whole experience is made so much better by the hosts. I could not recommend staying here enough!

This one is the place to stay!

Look no further. This award winning B&B surpasses all expectations. We had a marvelous stay in the middle of all the activities we enjoy. You have everything you need and more. Breakfast each morning was amazing and be sure to order dinner. There’s nothing nearby better. Peaceful and beautiful views. Tony and Sharon are fantastic. I highly recommend staying here.

Anniversary trip

We chose to celebrate our 15 year anniversary at this lovely B&B and we are couldn't be more happy about this decision. Tony and Sharon are awesome and made us feel right at home. We felt pampered and the food was fantastic. We definitely plan on going back in the future.

We came to check out Mammoth Caves, but staying here was definitely a great addition to our trip. Sharon and Tony are phenomenal hosts. All the food they made for us was wonderful, breakfast is personalized every morning for you, the house itself is beautiful, they both put so much detail into everything they do for their guests. Truly a great place to stay!

The Best!

Great B&B

My best friend and I have stayed in multiple B&Bs and never have we been welcomed in this way. They responded to every communication. The food was catered to our likes but we were also given the chance to try other homemade dishes. Ask for French toast! We loved it here. It was also convenient to Mammoth Cave.

Anniversary Getaway

This was a memorable stay not only was it our 36 Anniversary, but to experience a BNB with many awards, its easy to see why when you spend time here, the views from the porch, the game room. Tony and Sharon are wonderful hosts, from culinary skills,fresh bread, cheese platter, dinner was fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, before we left our leftovers were packed for us when we left. Historic Bed and Breakfast

This historic house is packed with charm and warmth. The amazing breakfasts set us up perfectly to fuel our miles of both above and below ground hiking each day in the Mammoth Caves National Park. Sharon and Tony are wonderful cooks and hosts.

Just Amazing and so friendly

Sharon and Tony are super hosts, very attentive and caring about their guests at the Reed-Dossey BnB. The room/accommodations were pristine with everything you could need. Excellent bath facilities, super Wi-Fi, and extras with game room and gorgeous view of the valley. The breakfast is amazing, and we had a candlelight dinner added in for our first night - delizioso! Just a short distance from the Mammoth Cave Park, and perfect for anyone's stay in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Mammoth Anniversary Trip

Sharon & Tony welcomed us into their beautiful home with warmth and friendliness. They spoiled us during our entire three day stay with amazing breakfasts and dinners. We highly recommend having dinner there. We enjoyed two dinners, pizza and rib eyes, both were excellent. We retired into the Game Room at night where Sharon & Tony taught us a few new games and had fun on their pinball machine. They were wonderful hosts and chefs!

Charming Historical Home

We had a wonderful stay in this charming historical home. The view from the porch is incredible. The owners Tony and Sharon are so friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our visit special, sharing the history of the home, feeding us with special treats and a delicious breakfast! We cannot wait to visit again.

Absolutely Perfect! Bring your appetite!

This was our first real B&B stay, and as a previous reviewer stated, I believe it has ruined us for staying anywhere else. Tony and Sharon are AMAZING hosts, it is very evident they love doing this. From the moment we arrived, until our departure, they made every moment delightful. Katie Kat was waiting at the door to great us as well, and is the mellowest, sweetest cat. Breakfast was superb, and I highly recommend the optional dinner. Plenty of food, and leftovers made into sandwiches for our day trips. The pizza rivals most Italian restaurants! The house is impeccably clean, even given it's historic nature. It was quiet and comfortable for sleeping, and the front porch is a welcome place to enjoy the evening. The pinball machine in the game room works perfectly and brings back many memories. We very much enjoyed Tony and Sharon's company, which made it such an enjoyable time. It was really like staying with favorite family members. It is easy to see why they have won awards and have so many 10/10 reviews!

This B&B RUINED me ever being able to enjoy another B&B!!

Tony and Sharon were absolutely AMAZING hosts! The meals in the morning were to die for. Homemade jams, eggs to your liking, incredible sides to choose from like fresh fruit, various meats, and French toast, as well as juice and coffee. In addition to breakfasts, there were in-home romantic dinners to choose from and we regret only doing that one of the two nights of our stay because it was SO good! Not only was the food absolutely devine, but the company of Sharon and Tony was much appreciated and so welcoming. Now I’m not going to lie, the idea of staying with complete strangers really freaked me out. I’m big into true crime and I took a risk because I heard of the amazing reviews of this B&B, and boy am I glad I did! They welcomed us in like family and made us feel right at ease. We were provided a private room, the Rose Room, with a private bathroom (complete with a snack and drink mini fridge, a spa bath, and a tv!). We easily could have been comfortable staying in our room the entire vacation, but they made us feel so comfortable that we enjoyed many late hours, after adventuring around Bowling Green and Mammoth Cave, in the game room. The only bad comment I have is that the pinball machine was simply addicting! I could go on and on, this place was just so amazing. If you have any hesitation in booking, I recommend messaging them with any questions. They even let me and my fiancé stay, even tho we were 23 and 24 (almost 25). All of this to say - book it!! They rock!

The very best!!

Could not have been more pleased with our stay at the Reed-Dorsey B&B!! The hosts, Tony and Sharon were so very welcoming, friendly, fun and the very best cooks ever!!! So attentive to every detail to make their guests stay the best in every way! Would highly recommend for anyone traveling in the area! Would definitely return!

Best place ever

I cannot say enough about this bed and breakfast. Sharon and Tony were THE BEST hosts. The house is so beautiful. The first morning we were up bright and early for a tour at Mammoth Cave. Both were up and breakfast was ready at 7 a.m. The second night we had them cook us dinner ~ Ribeye - delicious. Sharon even baked us a special dessert as we were celebrating our 30th. Was great to sit down and chat with them both after dinner. Thank you to you both. We will definitely be visiting again. Can't recommend enough, that if you're in this area, you must stay here.
