One of only a few direct Oceanfront beach cottages left in Carolina Beach that is great for families. Sit on the front porch and watch waves or get up and have a cup of coffee on the porch to a beautiful sunrise. Direct beach views and access. This home was built in 1966 and owned by the same family for 55 years. This cottage offers an incredible beach retreat that is reminiscent of simpler times. Excellent surf break in front of home which is only 100 yards from the Tiki bar. You will enjoy "Mike's Beach", the private beach area at the base of the porch steps on the oceanfront. Want to get away from the beach crowds? You have your own private area to retreat to where you can sun, listen to music, make your own drinks or cookout on the Weber grill.
This is a very unique spot in Carolina beach with ocean views to die for! Sunrises that will amaze you and a location that is convenient to everything! You will enjoy the quaintness of this home and the unbeatable location! Bring your beach bikes and never have to worry about parking! House is a short 20 minute walk up the beach to downtown or a 5 minute bike ride!

Debby Didn’t Deter Us

What a perfect beach cottage. Our family of four, plus our pup, thoroughly enjoy this oceanfront cottage. Don’t be deterred by the pictures showing what appears to be a parking lot on the side of the home. It isn’t. It’s actually the road nobody but the neighbors can use it. Mike was incredibly responsive. Just the perfect host. Although our weather wasn’t great there was plenty to do and see in CB and at the cottage. We’re already planning our stay next summer.

Birthday Getaway

We usually visit CB once or twice a year. This cottage is in a great location - near restaurants and easy access to the beach. Well-stocked kitchen, nice porch for enjoying sunrise/sunset, coffee or evening cocktails, comfortable living space, and it’s pet friendly! Bed linens are provided but don’t forget to pack beach, bath, hand, and kitchen towels. We look forward to another stay - highly recommend!

Hidden Gem

My family and I had a wonderful stay, we particularly enjoyed seen the sun rise in the mornings and a strawberry moon from the back porch at night. This property is a hidden gem, very clean and just steps away from the beach. I appreciated the clear instructions on check in and check out. The host was always accessible, within minutes they message back and answer my questions. We look forward to another stay in the near future.

Perfect family beach home

We had an amazing time staying at this beach house. It has amazing views from the back porch. Our family of 5 stayed comfortably here! Our daughter's loved the hammocks! Mike and his cleaning team are wonderful people. We forgot a small bag of things and they mailed it to us! I would definitely recommend this home for a single family looking to just relax and spend quality time on the beach. ** would also recommend Granny's kitchen across the street has a wonderful breakfast!

Second Stay at Beach Cottage...

did not disappoint! We came back to Mike's beach house but this time for a longer stay. We love everything about this gem of a place. Location is perfect. Views are amazing. House is nicely decorated and clean! Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Best of all, the weather was perfect. 80-90 degree sunny days. Went to Granny's Kitchen across the street for breakfasts. Spent time at the Ocean view grill right down the beach for lunch and drinks. Lake Park Steak House, Nikki Sushi, Remini's Italian Restaurant were all very good! Can't wait to come back. Thanks Mike!

Perfect Get Away

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect for coffee on the deck watching the sunrise. You are midway between Granny's and the Tiki Bar (for those time you don't feel like cooking). But the kitchen is great for cooking meals; lots of things you don't find in other rentals and a blender for those frozen drinks (again on the great deck). The beds were two different firmness, which was nice. And there are a zillion movies for those rainy days. We were also able to walk to the Boardwalk quite a few times (saving on parking $). Washer and dryer were a plus to be able to do it right in the house. The bathrooms were unique, shower especially, but I found the flooring and sink area to be lovely. Looking forward to returning!

We felt so fortunate to find this little gem sitting right on the sand. We loved watching the light change over the ocean from the windows and incredible deck. Could hear the sounds of the surf, what a great lullaby. It is such a walkable beach, we couldn't get enough. The house is very comfortable and well appointed. The description given is very accurate. It is close to everything. The host was great at communicating. We had a perfect get-a-way.

Beautiful oceanfront property with spectacular ocean views

We came from Ohio to see our 2 adult children who live here. House was roomy for the 4 of us & son’s dog. Especially enjoyed the back porch overloooking the ocean. Close to boardwalk & restaurants. The house was super clean & well stocked. Will definitely stay here again!

Absolutely perfect!! Located directly on the beach. Restaurants within walking distance. The house was spotless. We couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommend this beach home.

Everything was great

The cottage was perfect for the 4 of us and a dog. The location couldn’t have been better either. The communication with the owner, Mike, was always prompt and pleasant. Will be staying here anytime we come to Carolina Beach in the future!

Surf4life Beach Cottage is one of the only oceanfront homes on a private street with no public parking. This house has unobstructed ocean and beach views with sunrises to die for! You can sit on the porch and watch the surfers and beach goers. The Tiki Bar is very close and your can see the crowds and hear the live music in the summer time!
